Steam at night on shed is something special. In 2000 I got the privlage to see the Durango round house at night, mid summer season. There were 5 or 6 locos in steam as they had a work train running as well as service. Very similar to your last shot. I only had a film camera at the time so nothing other than my memory of it. Not many places in the world that we can see how it was 60+ years ago. Thanks for bringing the memory back and keep up the good work.
Wow the night part of this event was amazing. I wonder if any railways in the UK would be brave to host an event like this. Statfold Barn Railway would be a good shout.
Well, I hope to get to a similar event in our St. Petersburg depot PM-7 this year. Old Russian and Soviet steam locomotives are also used. Often in the summer I hear these "buzzing bastards" with the windows open, although they are at least 1 km away in a straight line...
To be completely honest, seeing steam locomotives in the night but with the lights on inside and outside the buildings makes it even more beautiful
What a magnificent display! A little sad, yes, that some may not run again since but nonetheless wonderful to have seen them. Nice video!
Black paint with red wheels is a vibe

One can only hope that such a spectacle will become possible again one day. Truly an amazing sight that's worth preserving.
There is a parade this year - but I don't know how bigger show it'll be, or if they'll be the night show
@@lmm Would love to get some coverage on it, if you have the time & opportunity. Even if it's not on-site :)

Lorry I see you on a t.v show call the Yorkshire steam railway: All aboard
Yeah. That ties in with Chasing Dinosaurs episode 2
So random question about your intro, did you actually go to China to get that clip of the JS class?
Yes - it's a series to come out when I have time to edit it all
@@lmm I’ll eagerly await it! I spend a good chunk of my weekends working on JS8419
