    Both Mike and Dr. Gabrielle Lyon are beautiful children of God and blessings to everyone who hears them. This is such a fantastic episode filled with wisdom. I felt like I was sitting with Dr Lyon in her clinic. The advice here is deep. The report and generosity comes through. Thank you both for everything you do!

    Great podcast! Mike, for the CPAP machine, I use a AirSense ResMed 10. Fully covered from the VA, including all attachments. I'm a side sleeper and this thing changed my life. This was a favorite because she studied geriatrics. And what my grandfathers and great grandfathers always preached came to light: you have to eat meat and vegetables. You’re body will fail you without meat. Buy local meats, organic meats like bison, elk and grass fed cows. But eat meat and non gmo vegetables. This woman rocks!!

    In regards to vaccines, there is legal deposition with Stanley Plotkin that is 9 hours long and essentially there aren’t any trials that have been done to determine if vaccines do or don’t cause autoimmune issues. Basically it’s uncertain science. The lawyer brought up a book about vaccines and autoimmunity as well as Nuremberg Code. The doctor acknowledged using aborted fetuses as well as some possible unethical treatment with human subjects

    Around the 1:50:50 area, she said if you should use C-PAP machines for what you guys have to do. What does Dr. Lyon think about Dental mouthpieces for Sleep Apnea? I only ask because I got rid of my C-PAP and use the mouthpiece and it has worked just as good.

I live not far from him and I've been seeing him on and off for 15 years for various ailments and injuries he has kept me in the game and out of the surgery room. What’s your opinion of fasting for an 80 year old man. For example, I get my nourishment in by noon and I won’t eat again until a light breakfast. Essentially, I’m eating one meal a day. Good? Bad?

  • @mjpucher
    @mjpucher 3 роки тому

    Dying old patients that were mostly VEGETARIANS and so frail and sick ... I agree with that. From my own experience at 67 I find that doing weight training and eating animal protein and fats is well balanced by fasting days to balance the anabolic effect. mTOR is a must to grow muscle but you need the breaks to allow the recycling of proteins. I have no problem to build muscle at all while still doing intermittent and multiple day fasting.

    Mike great interview! I'm curious if Dr. Lyon has an opinion on using food grade diatomaceous earth (DE for short) for internal parasites? I've used it as a natural dewormer for my dogs, Alaskan Malamute mixes, for over 13 years and have never had to use anything else. Oh, and I decided to use it myself. Seems to work great because I too don't have worms. Lol

    what about longevity research on supplements like NMN, do these fit in? Dr Sinclair does this research but at the same time he warns against eating meat and getting amino acid (he believes there is proof that they shorten life). He is clearly wrong about protein but is he right about NMN and other things like metformin, berberine and so on. do these things weaken Mtor too much and hurt muscle growth?

    She seems to have contradicted herself when talking about waiting or not waiting to eat protein right after exercising. First she said she waits to eat after her workouts until after her fasting time is over which is about 2 pm, then she said she would not recommend waiting to eat after working out. Which one?? Can someone clear that up for me??

    • @VladTissescu
      @VladTissescu 5 років тому +1

      What I recall was that if your a woman and/or older in age, you want to eat 30-50g soon after a workout. If your a male, you can be less strict, consuming protein within the 24hr window after a workout. I think she said that it wasn't all too important to rush protein, just to make sure to eat 30-50g protein 3-4 times a day, with a 4-5 hour break in between meals

    Good day all. Not that my opinion matters but the Ketoish diet did work for me before I blew shoulder and had stage 3 strain from not properly warming up. I did factor in weight to protein ratio because I was trying to gain muscle mass and maximize fat loss. Amazing muscle mass gains with vegan supplements. Tried to average 200g protein to 200lb body weight. I must say it was expensive trying to keep that lifestyle but I felt and looked great. Factor in level 1 CrossFit and high intensity interval workouts and rucking 50lb at 12 min mile over terrain. I will add the caveat that I did condition my body, feet and legs to get to that level so I wouldn’t have training setbacks. Age 49. Lots of natural fiber and veggies. Lots of Bison and beef. Probiotics a must. Also I did blood type diet because it eliminated most toxic foods for my bloodtype. Pull from the list and that how I targeted my ingredients for meals. I did cheat because per that type of diet, beef was not recommended. Blood type diet almost seemed unrealistic because a person does crave certain foods. I will state it took me approximately 4 years to fine tune my menu

    Stem cells, to the best of my knowledge, are simply unaffordable to the vast majority of Americans. I live in one of the 15 largest cities in the US, and the stem cell injections here are 4k-5k per sitting, and insurance covers not one cent of it. It does work... I've seen the results... but like all other medical treatments in the United States that are worth a rip, it's exceedingly expensive.

    Impressed with some of the terms she throws out.
    What happens...to the people on the Asian subcontinent? Hindus are vegan!!!! So according to her they should have all sorts of horrific problems...
    It shouldn't really bother anyone if it has a "face"....
    Who funds her!!!!
    Very glib....attractive...fish lips...someone who is packaged attractively.
    ...careful of these type of people.
    Geriatrics easy specialty...they all die in time!
    Listened to other pod casts of hers because they came up on my list.
    Interesting how attractive plasticized people are presented and responded to.....
    She's not pregnant like the rest of the population..."she's with child"...
    Millions will listen to her....be influenced to accelerate the eating of animals...not other protein options.
