Let's see some hats or something!!! Cunts like me, listen to 20 different podcasters a week. Honestly, i simply can't afford to ship money off to all of my imaginary friends talking into my ears all day haha... However, if you got a bad ass snapback, (or something for sale) I'm weak as fuck!! haha mark that shit up 300% lol. BTW, I'm super into treager/smokers/ BEEF! would love to see some videos!
Dr Lyon is an exceptional woman and I have listened to probably six different interviews with her and never get bored. I subscribed to your channel because of her. She is an example of a medical hero to public health and well being
Both Mike and Dr. Gabrielle Lyon are beautiful children of God and blessings to everyone who hears them. This is such a fantastic episode filled with wisdom. I felt like I was sitting with Dr Lyon in her clinic. The advice here is deep. The report and generosity comes through. Thank you both for everything you do!
Remains one of my favorite You Tube Interviews, Mike Ritland. So many are GREAT yet this one keeps coming into focus - which means I share this vital information with others. Hope Dr. Gabrielle Lyon returns. THANK YOU for this amazing work you keep turning out. [avid iTunes Podcast Listener]
Great podcast! Mike, for the CPAP machine, I use a AirSense ResMed 10. Fully covered from the VA, including all attachments. I'm a side sleeper and this thing changed my life. Went from waking up every 2 hours for years to sleeping straight through the night literally the first night I used it.
This was a favorite because she studied geriatrics. And what my grandfathers and great grandfathers always preached came to light: you have to eat meat and vegetables. You’re body will fail you without meat. Buy local meats, organic meats like bison, elk and grass fed cows. But eat meat and non gmo vegetables. This woman rocks!!
In regards to vaccines, there is legal deposition with Stanley Plotkin that is 9 hours long and essentially there aren’t any trials that have been done to determine if vaccines do or don’t cause autoimmune issues. Basically it’s uncertain science. The lawyer brought up a book about vaccines and autoimmunity as well as Nuremberg Code. The doctor acknowledged using aborted fetuses as well as some possible unethical treatment with human subjects
Love your detailed questioning, I have watched about 10 other interviews with this lady but you got more of her than in all other videos I watched, keep up the good work sir.
Hey Mike, been watching since the beginning and this podcast is in my top 5 of what you released. All the recommendations I never heard of Kavinace. Thank you so much for that gem.
Around the 1:50:50 area, she said if you should use C-PAP machines for what you guys have to do. What does Dr. Lyon think about Dental mouthpieces for Sleep Apnea? I only ask because I got rid of my C-PAP and use the mouthpiece and it has worked just as good.
Hi Mike I hope you read this comment. I just came across your Channel and your interview with Dr. Lyon. She is 100% correct in regards to dr. Brian Shiple. I live not far from him and I've been seeing him on and off for 15 years for various ailments and injuries he has kept me in the game and out of the surgery room. He's doing some wonderful work I suggest you contact him before ever considering surgery again. I'm going to check out some more of your videos for sure thank you!
What’s your opinion of fasting for an 80 year old man. For example, I get my nourishment in by noon and I won’t eat again until a light breakfast. Essentially, I’m eating one meal a day. Good? Bad?
Dying old patients that were mostly VEGETARIANS and so frail and sick ... I agree with that. From my own experience at 67 I find that doing weight training and eating animal protein and fats is well balanced by fasting days to balance the anabolic effect. mTOR is a must to grow muscle but you need the breaks to allow the recycling of proteins. I have no problem to build muscle at all while still doing intermittent and multiple day fasting.
Another great podcast, Mike, with another exceptional guest! (The current "like" total is 69. I'll give the podcast a thumbs up once someone more mature than me clicks the total off of the magic number!)
Mike great interview! I'm curious if Dr. Lyon has an opinion on using food grade diatomaceous earth (DE for short) for internal parasites? I've used it as a natural dewormer for my dogs, Alaskan Malamute mixes, for over 13 years and have never had to use anything else. Oh, and I decided to use it myself. Seems to work great because I too don't have worms. Lol
what about longevity research on supplements like NMN, do these fit in? Dr Sinclair does this research but at the same time he warns against eating meat and getting amino acid (he believes there is proof that they shorten life). He is clearly wrong about protein but is he right about NMN and other things like metformin, berberine and so on. do these things weaken Mtor too much and hurt muscle growth?
She seems to have contradicted herself when talking about waiting or not waiting to eat protein right after exercising. First she said she waits to eat after her workouts until after her fasting time is over which is about 2 pm, then she said she would not recommend waiting to eat after working out. Which one?? Can someone clear that up for me??
What I recall was that if your a woman and/or older in age, you want to eat 30-50g soon after a workout. If your a male, you can be less strict, consuming protein within the 24hr window after a workout. I think she said that it wasn't all too important to rush protein, just to make sure to eat 30-50g protein 3-4 times a day, with a 4-5 hour break in between meals
Good day all. Not that my opinion matters but the Ketoish diet did work for me before I blew shoulder and had stage 3 strain from not properly warming up. I did factor in weight to protein ratio because I was trying to gain muscle mass and maximize fat loss. Amazing muscle mass gains with vegan supplements. Tried to average 200g protein to 200lb body weight. I must say it was expensive trying to keep that lifestyle but I felt and looked great. Factor in level 1 CrossFit and high intensity interval workouts and rucking 50lb at 12 min mile over terrain. I will add the caveat that I did condition my body, feet and legs to get to that level so I wouldn’t have training setbacks. Age 49. Lots of natural fiber and veggies. Lots of Bison and beef. Probiotics a must. Also I did blood type diet because it eliminated most toxic foods for my bloodtype. Pull from the list and that how I targeted my ingredients for meals. I did cheat because per that type of diet, beef was not recommended. Blood type diet almost seemed unrealistic because a person does crave certain foods. I will state it took me approximately 4 years to fine tune my menu
Stem cells, to the best of my knowledge, are simply unaffordable to the vast majority of Americans. I live in one of the 15 largest cities in the US, and the stem cell injections here are 4k-5k per sitting, and insurance covers not one cent of it. It does work... I've seen the results... but like all other medical treatments in the United States that are worth a rip, it's exceedingly expensive.
Steve Thompson- I agree. I want to see his eyes and his face. I have found that guys who wear hats, do so because they are either bald or are balding. It's a stupid macho virility thing.
Lol he's bold like me and it's just more comfortable to wear a hat especially if you been wearing one for 40 years but for sure one of my favorite podcasts great job!!
Impressed with some of the terms she throws out. What happens...to the people on the Asian subcontinent? Hindus are vegan!!!! So according to her they should have all sorts of horrific problems... It shouldn't really bother anyone if it has a "face".... Who funds her!!!! Very glib....attractive...fish lips...someone who is packaged attractively. ...careful of these type of people. Geriatrics easy specialty...they all die in time! Listened to other pod casts of hers because they came up on my list. Interesting how attractive plasticized people are presented and responded to..... She's not pregnant like the rest of the population..."she's with child"... Millions will listen to her....be influenced to accelerate the eating of animals...not other protein options.
Not a vegan but ethical doesn’t equal emotional. I hate when people diminish the actual point to make something seem less than. Diet is all about controlling your emotions and impulses so all diets are emotional.
"Vaxinating your child, that's responsible." If you look at the data.....but you hardly did. You probably would not encourage people vaxinating their kids, if you did. But that's just my opinion. Look at the data. And always at the source, that data is coming from.

Great topic. Interesting info & point of view. I am going to seriously think about a good deal of the advice given. A painful podcast to watch- did Doc know she was getting filmed? The amount of fidget & hair & shoulder shirt play was painful to watch. I had to turn off the screen.

Great interview, as always. Really appreciate the good info. I wish there were more docs out there with Dr. Lyon's approach to medicine.

7:32 the reason you don't is because growth hormones stop production with insulin spikes so fasting 4 hours after workout adds more growth hormone
