Boy Adam - you really chose the best time of the year to come visit us 😀 And that you braved walking all around downtown in this summer heat. Not something us locals would even attempt 😀 Hope you enjoyed your time here in the Houston area.
You just showed me so much more about my city than I’ve ever realized was there. Sometimes we even know it’s there and never find the time to check it out. (That river is also a bayou. You don’t want none of that.)
Howdy Adam!! Welcome to Texas.. I live 45 mins. from Houston in a small town near 1-10.. I Hope you Enjoy your time here and you will Enjoy Minute Maid Park.. Go Astros!!! ⚾⚾😙😏😎 The Woo in Texas!!!

I was born and raised (49 years) in the Houston area and I have never seen the majority of what you covered! Thank you for spotlighting our city…the good, the bad and unfortunately the ugly!
The post was the post office. I used to drop mail off there all the time. I haven't been back since they transformed it into that music hall and lunch area.
Downtown Houston is so clean and actually pedestrian friendly nowadays! A far cry from when I lived downtown in the late 70's. Nice going Houston! Thanks for the video, Woo-dude.
One place you have to see if you're in Houston is . . . . The Orange Show!! It's a place built by one man dedicated to the Orange. It's folk artsy but he was all into it and now decades later after his death it's still around and drawing visitors.
Bro, just straight raw dogin H-town on foot is wild my guy! I lived there for the 1st 37 years of my life. Moved to the Texas Hill County, between Austin and San Antonio 10 years ago and never looked back! 😅😅
I once was a victim of the imposter attendant, in SF like 20 years ago, the parking lot attendant was laying on the horn, as i was paying the homeless dude, who gave me change from his shoe. Lesson learned, could have used the sign back then.

Welcome to Texas! I lived and worked in Houston for a long time before relocating to the Austin area (Pflugerville). I see that Hootens lawyers office is still there.
I feel like you really put your life at risk walking in downtown Houston. I live 2 1/2 hours from Houston & the best part about Houston to me is when its in your rear view mirror!
That's not true. I lived and worked in Houston, and the only bad part he was in was the lawyers office location that looked like a train. He walked the theater district, which is perfectly safe. You can see the Lyric Center and the Alley Theater. He must be taking several ubers because now, as I'm watching, he's in front of the fountain near Rice University.
No risk. I’ve lived downtown since 2010 and never had one issue. Downtown is a gem. Walkable. Astros. Rockets. Dynamo. Arts. Theater. Concerts. Food. Parks.
My hometown! Nice video. :) I used to work for the Houston Chronicle which was downtown next to the tallest building in Houston and Texas (Chase Tower). I would walk around town all the time. Especially the tunnels downtown which is where 90% of all the lunch places are.
Not sure if someone else mentioned this already, but I believe those giant heads came from an attraction called Presidents Park, which was originally located in the Williamsburg Virginia area. My wife and daughter and I visited it many years ago. I remember a news report about how it closed down and someone was collecting all of the heads. They looked exactly like what you were showing.
You're either brave or a little crazy. I wouldn't want to hoof it around downtown Houaton in the middle of March, much less the (swamp) ass-end of July, and I've lived here my entire life... Hope you kept yourself hydrated beyond just the coffee...
Welcome to Houston Adam! Hope you have a great time but do becareful walking around downtown. I know you love filming locations (as I do), Houston has a few such as Robocop 2. Check out the Wortham Center, there was a key sequence shot there! 😎👍
The traffic here is insane. And 610 once you enter it you do not leave! 😂 Welcome to my hometown. I wish you would’ve had a meet up that would’ve been cool. Stay safe stay blessed.
Not necessarily a mall. Its an underground network of tunnels that we use in the summer to avoid the heat. There are restaurants and shops that the downtown workers use on their breaks.
Surprised we didn’t get any Astrodome content and some info on what was the greatest theme park in Texas that used to exist across the highway from it.
To me the picture of the guy on the sign looks like he is stepping in a fishtank to me for some reason instead of him not climbing in the landscape beds lol 🚧🛑 great video today Adam The Woo! Much ❤ bro!
I know they say everything’s big in Texas but I’ve never seen such long trains like I have in Texas, anywhere. We drove alongside one for what felt like miles! It’s been a few years since I was there, thanks for sharingx
I’ve lived in Houston for over 30 years and would never voluntarily visit here during the summer. You should have come here next week to catch the Texans first preseason home game!
Houston. No matter how far or how long you drive, you're always in Houston. There's no escaping the traffic once you're caught! Good luck Woo!
It’s a huge city
Lived in Houston for 10+ years. The traffic in Austin is much worse than Houston. No infrastructure planning here.

I can handle dry heat but not muggy an humid .really give you an everyone living in Florida alot credit .❤
The Post used to the main flagship Post Office for Houston. It was massive. And it’s very popular now as a Food Hall.
The insects making the noise in the trees are called cicadas. They're annoying. I've gotten used to hearing them during the summer months.
yep they are every where..
I have a constant ringing in my ears so I never hear them.
I've never heard Houston described as "not humid". The average relative humidity is 89%.
