I am one of the irrational Zeppelin fans who went in search of the 45 single, and found it in a small record store in 1984. It was the only way to own it, and I had to have it. I love the physical media, as you can put your hands on it...
Actually the song did make it on an American record > Best of Atlantic Records 1970 . Very Rare only a few hundred copies are known to exist. I had the UK version not that rare.
I remember calling the radio station asking how do I get this song!? They told me that it was impossible. So I requested it and lamely recorded it. Then I found out recently that it was, in fact, available. I still love this song!! Really really loud!!! ❤️❤️❤️✌️
I absolutely love this song. It boggles my mind how this didn’t get on a album and I wished they would have played it live . Would have been awesome.❤❤❤❤
I really enjoy your reactions to some to the music I've enjoyed to all my life. Your thoughtful insight and commentary helps me appreciate the songs even more than before. Thanks
I love to see different cultures having epiphanies over this music. Your analogy of Hooties example compared to Zeppelins original is spot on. I’ve heard The blowfish’s example and it’s embarrassing, why would they even attempt to emulate these masters?? God bless all!
I'm sorry, but Hootie!!? I can't imagine that it came close. This is one of my all-time favorites. I still play this on the regular. Really loudly!! ❤️❤️❤️✌️ I agree. Some songs should not be covered.
Garth Brooks also covered it live at Central Park, NYC I had that UK version > Best of Atlantic Records 1970 only 100 or so American version are known to exist, worth thousand$
Can you believe this song is a b-song whereas it would be one of the biggest songs ever written by any other band.....Bootie and the Blowfish is embarrassing compare to this version...magnificent reaction by the GOAT of reaction videos Soul Train Brother ❤🙏
It's funny that you mentioned "Stairway to Heaven" as untouchable. Normally, I would agree. However, in 2012 Heart did an excellent cover of that song at the Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin. Many celebrities were in attendance, including Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page. Jason Bonham played drums. The Obamas were there too. Here is the link which has been viewed nearly 118,000,000 times. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/2cZ_EFAmj08/v-deo.html
LOL! I just bought 3 45’s from an online market, hoping one will be good. This is a great fncking tune. But they didn’t think good enough for the album. Groups try to do zeppelin songs. It’s a mistake.
@@SoulTrainBro what I really like about The Who is that their albums are great, but even more impressive is their live performances that they are known for, especially from 1967 to 1976. Live At Leeds from 1970 set the bar very high for live rock n roll albums. No studio clean ups, overdubs, etc. Just plain old rock n roll from a 3 piece band, very impressive. Really enjoy your reactions, you are a fantastic interpreter. Great job.
You’re so dead-on that certain songs or movies should not be reproduced. It’s art. You wouldn’t recreate the Mona Lisa. Why would you do it with those other two art forms? It takes a special arrogance to cover perfect songs, as if you can improve upon perfection.

I've had the 45 since it was released as the b-side to Immigrant Song early 70s here in Australia 🦘🦘😀

There was some great pics in that video. I always loved this song.
This is my favorite Zeppelin songs and one of my overall faves.
Yooooo! I'm not the only one!! xDD
Led Zeppelinman!
I absolutely love this song. It boggles my mind how this didn’t get on a album and I wished they would have played it live . Would have been awesome.❤❤❤❤
A criminally underrepresented Zep classic!
Your reaction videos are so great!
Thank you!! 😁
My all time favorite Led Zeppelin song... So many times it cheered me up...
Great reaction and I totally agree!
I really enjoy your reactions to some to the music I've enjoyed to all my life. Your thoughtful insight and commentary helps me appreciate the songs even more than before. Thanks
I appreciate that
It's a great and fantastic tune that as a musician you'd love to want to play, and love doing so. One of Zep's finest.
Never knew this song was covered by anyone.
Right. Plant uses his voice as an instrument better than almost any other band. Few vocalists compare.
I agree with you 100% certain things should be left alone, look at coke company tried to change the ingredients
Probably their best instrumental work....
Bonham and Jones...just goin off.....damn it...
I love to see different cultures having epiphanies over this music.

Great to see you Bobby. Love that pic man!
It really should have been included on III. They could have dropped “Friends” or “Hats Off to Roy Harper” and the album would have been much improved.
@@BBaldwin i personally love Friends...I mean they could of just added the song and not remove any of the rest as well
Garth Brooks also covered live at Central Park , NYC
@@robertserafin-uc3qn did not know that...and iam a native New Yorker but recently moved yo to Europe ..cheers 👍
I'm back still interested in your point of view is always great knowledgeable and to the point thumbs up a hundred percent
Welcome back!
Somehow I can't imagine Hootie and the Blowfish doing this song now I gotta hear it
Lol. Tell me what you think after :D
Now I'm Curious about the Hooty Version! John Paul Jones was Playing his Double Neck Mandolin in this.
It's ... meh.
@@kaewonf8 agree 100% it lacks energy, and it much-much-much simpler than original
I would strongly recommend spotify version. This youtube version lacks quality, you can barely hear 50% of instruments.

Agreed. Heart did the song justice big time and the whole thing brought a tear to Plant's eye. That video would be a great one for STB to react to.

Thanks Soul Train Brother. More Led Zep Please. I hate Hootie and the Blowfish. Don't ever say that again, please.
NOT a novelty song!
Great song, great band, great highly polished studio albums, but they don't transfer well to the stage.
True true. It's an acquired taste for sure. I had to listen for a while to form an appreciation.
