Surprised this was unblocked. Good news. I still have the album bought when released. Haven't heard this played as an album in a long while. 🤩
Around that time mate who was a working rock drummer and in '72 when Led Zeppelin were touring here asked John Bonham about something he couldn't work out. Bonham immediately figured it out. He was stunned and left totally amazed about how insanely good Bonham was. Of course a few days after they played a 3 hour 20 minute show in Sydney everybody was left stunned 😂

The second run through was as good as the first! Kashmir is my all-time favorite zeppelin song. Physical Graffiti is my favorite album, but really only because there are more songs than the other albums. I’ve got Led Zeppelin two, four, and one right up there. Good to see your handsome mug, Wayne! Stay healthy and safe!

Soul Train where have you been. We miss you bro, come back. Just make another channel do it all again man, you got my vote.
Hey man check this out I just wrote this on a Doors reaction vid thought it was pretty good (lol).
Jim is halfway up the mountain for the hallucinogenic progression, which is quite an achievement let me add. The first step is The Beatles, most dabblers reach this step and are turned back by the dangers as perceived, some of them not imagined. The second step after the first takes the fool or the foolhardy, both being as inevitable as much as one or the other, and this is where they meet MrMojorisin in all his glory. The lyricist for the poetic at heart, so brilliant in word and stage enough to light you up forever. And here we must pause for a nod to the two and a half step, upon which Mr Bob Dylan languishes. Cigarette in mouth, casually watching the climbers go past with an almost indiscernible look of disdain, throwing a lyric or two to turn the eye away from what is to come. The third step or perhaps the thirty third step takes an intervention beyond the individual, whereby the seeking fool has stumbled across something beyond their realisation only to know it was part of them before the journey began. And this, ladies and gentlemen is where Led Zeppelin takes the stage, so that all the world's a stage.
Taken from: Diary of a musical hallucinogenic mountaineer. In bookstores now.
Lotsa words good for the algorithm.
I should write a book about nothing.
Not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear.
My favourite Led Zeppelin song is Babe I'm gonna Leave You. No problem saying it at all. Reason being it was the one that brought me to Heaven, and the first experience. Didn't even know their names or what they looked like, it was just the music, along with unlocking mechanisms. This was the majority of the way I heard most of their music btw, early 90s nowhere on the scene and bang this freight train band hit's you outta nowhere. Coupled with how I was at that time it was...enlightening. I kept grabbing tapes off a m8 who was a recording nutjob he would record everything think I was up to Houses before I even knew Jimmy Page's name. I already knew him before I knew his name. Ginger Baker likes the sound of his own voice, in a nutshell. Once played some good drums for a little while and that's about it but his ego ran away with it, and that's all you are hearing. Can easily name 10 drummers better and Keith Moon is on that list. In my opinion.
Presence is what is behind you when your mind is unlocked and you are listening to Zeppelin. Because it is present.
Wtf dude your questions are working!

I first listened to this album when I was a kid and we used to sit in my room and smoke pot and listen to This and if you would have asked me back then my favorite would have been either Trampled under foot or Kashmir. Now that I am 59 years old it’s definitely 10 years gone but I still love Led Zeppelin and probably always will. My favorite band all time

Personal opinion here. This album is a culmination of all the previous albums. Everything was so tight on this double album. People questioned at the time where were LZ heading. This album and the later In through the outdoor where showing the band was heading. Then John Bonham passed and it became a moot point after that. There is not one bad song on this album.

39:07 ... That's probably about right. At least a few hundred. Whether by accident on the car radio station or intentional. Hearing this song 45 years ago in grade school was how I first learned who the band was. Favorite song by LZ and most likely favorite song by anyone.

Another personal opinion. CODA was put together after John B passed. It pretty much like a bootleg, but when you listen to it with head phones you hear the power of John B’s playing. It might not rank high with some LZ fans, but to me it’s part of the whole LZ story.

@@BBaldwin Song Remains The Same totally blows. Only the best recordings from the best nights were used! Wasn't even one show recorded and released. Then Page took almost 2 yrs to clean it up, why? Leeds was one show, one recording and released. No fooling around in the studio with Leeds. Many people consider The Mighty Who the ultimate live band. Many say Zep, and by their own admision say they were sloppy. Cheers mate!

I don't think J Bonham was the best drummer ever, he was the best for that Zeppelin chemistry. He would not have achieved such greatness without the others. Zeppelin almost began with Keith Moon but he was busy. These outstanding bands are a combination of virtuosos, unique to themselves. Which spice is the most important in a great recipe? Fav tune? Black Country Woman? When the Levee Breaks? Ten years Gone? Not Kashmir.
