Hi Charles. Interesting topic, so thanks. However, if your listeners think that pitching their project to producers is like “I’ll get someone to record and produce my song for free,” then I think they will find out that real producers don’t want to do freebies, or listen to a bunch of people claiming to be the next big thing, but wanting someone to get it out there for next to nothing. Instead, do some videos that show the costs and talent and time that goes into recording (and producing) a song that is good enough for airplay. Studio time? At-home computer arrangements? Vocalists. How much does a bass player, vocalist, guitarist, and keyboard charge to record my song in a studio? And that the songwriter, or creator, is going to put up the money for this. Oh, and some $$ for the guy producing as well. Then most songwriters will find out that it will cost many hundreds of dollars to do a single song - and that is why most of us, just do our demos at home. And nobody ever hears the song - because it wasn’t truly produced and recorded. The flip side of this is that it is still a great idea to get your creative ideas down even in a home demo form. At any rate - good luck and success because there are many people who write or want to write songs, music, the next big hit, and you could be a source of that information.. Lots of good topics for future videos.
