you are welcome
Wow dude thank you so much for the video he help me a lot
Glad I could help
Very well explained. Good video.
One question? You did all that without disconnecting the battery?
yes I did,
you can alsways disconnect the battery then removed the wiring harness connectors, then replug the battery--- or else how will your get scan data..
Thanks for watching
Great video. I have same issue on 2001 Subaru Outback. Have the MaxiSys 906BT Scanner but having an communication issue with ECU so it can't check the airbag. I am happy to see that it would be able to diagnose if I can get past the communication issue. It will scan up to a point then will say it can't communicate with ECU. I am going to use a 3.3 ohm resistor to see if I can figure out what is causing the light to stay on.
Sorry to hear that.. Try a 2 ohm resistor instead of a 3.3- 3.3 is kind of on the high side and might not lead you in the right direction for diagnosing your issue.
thanks for watching
Thanks buddy
No problem 👍
Perfect!!!!! Bravo!!!! Very useful!!!!!
You are welcome.. Thanks for watching
great tip
thanks for sharing
No problem!
Brilliant video well explained to....your the air bag King lol ... well let's just see yet if I diagnose my 7.48 issue on my vauxhall astra 2007 high resistance stage 1 airbag unit I'm suspecting clock spring issues with mine tbh as I've hooked up my diagnostic scan tool done live data test on air bag unit all bags live showing high resistance like said stage 1 running about 7.5 do this sound like a clock spring issue to you ?... add on I've now done steering wheel test as doing live data turning steering wheel fully left I'm getting ohs reading status dropping with in range then i wiped code all good air bag light off then turn steering wheel back and forth live data resistance fluxuates to high resistance
sounds like it but test first
Have you ever set off the air bag from not u hooking the battery ? So you test an air bag system just like any other module with battery hooked up. Do you think the bags could be set off by unhooking them with battery hooked up I. Mean I see you didn't set off just a question. Thank you for the awesome video
So the short answer is no. but with that being said always follow the testing producers that the manufacture has set in place. They are there for your safety and their liability.
Probably best to use a True 2 ohm .25 watt resistor. Instead of a bulb. Thanks for video
Thanks for the tip
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Thank you 😀
You're welcome 😊
I have a 2005 Acura TSX with airbag codes 32-10 and 21-10, which component should I test with a bulb? For 32-10, I'm confused with the "right side airbag inflator", I dont know if it's the "side curtain" or right passenger air bag, thank you
I'm curious - how does just one track on the clock spring fail? I guess on this car the steering buttons and horn must still have been working?
its a spool of cooper wire that turns left to right, is winds up and unwinds over time the bending action will break the clockspring wiring.
thanks for watching
@@JLsAutoSolutionbut does the horn or steering huttons still working?
great video, 2009 Tucson air bag light on, two codes B1481 and B1346 would you suspect clock spring, cheers Steve
its haard to say if its a clock spring issue/wiring/component or module issue.. testing is key in any diagnostics.
Thanks for watching
Did you replace the clock spring? How much trouble is it? In the UK with the same issue.
yes for this repair the clock spring was replaced. and for difficulty it depends on your experience.
@@JLsAutoSolution Fair enough, I've changed clock springs before on European cars but I've noticed in general the Asian manufacturers tend to differ with their designs.
As a point of info for any if your other UK viewers there is currently a Kia recall for this fault which means if your car is under 15 years old you could get this repaired free of charge.
Great thanks so much bro
You are very welcome
Hello dear, I have the same problem and I could not solve it, can you contact me on WhatsApp and help me? 00218914254637 THANKS
Damn you can unplug airbags with power and key on wtf. I’ve always been scared of blowing up the whole car
Messing around with the airbag without disconnecting the battery is almost a death sentence. No one should ever do this.
I have dtc B1347 code appearing on my hyundai elantra 2017, but at my car dealership they assure me it’s not the clockspring but the dab itself since all the steering wheel functions and horn working properly, is that correct?
Not necessarily. In my video all steering wheel functions are working properly.. The only circuit affect was the dab circuit.
A second opinion never hurts..
Thanks for watching
@@JLsAutoSolution Does also the horn works?
Is this really necessary for you to check when your Kia airbags light is on? Or can you just leave it like that ?
It becomes more of a safety issue when the airbag light is on, they might not deploy is a crash causing serious injury or DEATH.
If a safety inspection is required on your vehicle, then your vehicle will fail.
Personal preference is to make sure the airbag system is working correctly by making sure the light is off.

Hey can you do a video how to reprogram a pro starter remote starter sold a canadientire?
How did you do that resistance bulb home made tester?
home made tool.:)
@@JLsAutoSolution can you show us how to do it?
Is it just a normal brake lamp bulb with 2 wires soldered to it?
so the exact problem is only clock spring itself ? or yo change also the airbag ? i have the same problem on my hyundai elantra 2014 model ,
Yes, in t this case the clock spring was at fault(open in clock spring)
Thanks for watching
@@JLsAutoSolution thank you for feedback, now i know it's only on clock spring problem i will change my clockspring also on my Hyundai elantra
How much Watt is the bulb?
Hello, my Kia Cerato has such code: b1346 please help me maintain it
Is 1st stage the DAB and 2nd stage the clock spring ????
Which scan tool you using maxiSys ms906
Its the ms908.
thanks for watching
Clock spring are covered by KIA warranty!
Some models had extended warranties. You would need to call the dealership and give your vin to verify if your vehicle falls under that extended warranty.
Thanks for watching.
