- Living with a diagnosed autoimmune illness and other undiagnosed sickness as a kid and now a teenager helped me grow up fast. When talking is too hard, I can still express myself through music. I'm reaching out now to the world to connect and help other people who might feel the same way I do.
This piece is called Kolob because in my faith Kolob is known as the place closest to where God is. One day there is a thousand years of earth time. And honestly, life just feels that way to me. My mom came up with the idea to make this video and record my life. I wasn't too pleased with being recorded while throwing up and in extreme pain. I was even against the idea of the name Kolob because it suggested something more hopeful. I wrote most of these songs while depressed or while I had some sort of sad emotional feelings behind them. But the more I thought about it and with some encouragement and help from my mom I decided it was a good idea to post what I guess you would call a music video.

Chronic autoimmune illnesses are brutal. I'm so grateful you find expression in music. It's such a challenge to pace ourselves. Our spirits are willing but our mortal bodies just have other ideas.
