This guy opens packs like he's a kid again, hell I may act the same way. However it is somewhat unfortunate to me anyways that they don't keep the rarities the same. Such as "Seven Tools of the Bandit" originally being an Ultra Rare if u pulled it out of the pack. Also all of the limbs of Exodia were Ultra Rares except for the head, which was Secret Rare. So on and so forth but I suppose it's whatevah now since there's been soooooo many different sets to be released since those Golden Days.

Alexander Dubz They did it because of kids in lower income families couldn't afford to spend money on expensive cards that sometimes where staples in powerful decks. It's understandable since it's marketed towards kids but devalued every card previously printed.

There used to be a shop where we played this ... but it got closed because of its inpopularity amongst kids here in The Hague Holland ... There should be 1 more store probally where u can still get magic the gathering and yu gi oh cards... but with allot of new sets coming out each month its just no fun , the whole concept = pay to win .
they do have structure decks and single cards can be under a dollar its not pay to win but you do need to pay for the materials to win which can change at any time because other peopke have different decks. when you buy cards from something like a collector's box or one of those plastic cubes, youre getting over 60 cards, (or 30 depending on the set you buy) youre getting a ton of fighting power for the price of a medium sized lunch. saying the game is pay to win is implying it was free in the first place which it is definitely not, but it is cheap so suck it up and buy some cards.
I've seen full toon decks on ebay. There about 50 bucks.

Retro pack 1 cards can be extremely hard to find since it was a European-exclusive set.

I'm sorry, wasn't trying to start anything, just making a point. Ordinarily yes, the rarer a card is the more valuable it is. There are notable exceptions is all I was trying to say.
oh, I should clarify about the "rarity". There are some cards out there that are "rare" to find and those are a lot more expensive then a "Ultra Rare" printed card mainly because there are so few of them printed. Those cards can be extremely strong. I can't think of anything off the top of my head but I know there are a small number of them. The Ultra, Secret, Parallel ultimate etc etc Rares are much more abundant.

I still Seriously miss the classic printing - background titles and ticker gray frames -... they looked more TCG professional, but at some point in ZeXal era and on the cards look kinda mediocre'ish, specially the commons
I mean, just try making a Toon Deck using T. Summoned Skull, Manga Ryu Ran, T Dark Magician Girl and T. Blue Eyes and compare the classic cards with Toon Kingdom, T. Dark Magician, T. Red Eyes and Toon Barrel Dragon - for example -.
