Defeating the final boss Nightmare legit.
Heshin gets trapped inside a card by Nightmare's dark spell then he burns him while trapped. Seto tells Yugi do destroy the Millennium pieces, but Heishin stops him. Yugi and Nightmare battle for Yugi's last card.

After nearly 20 years of owning this game, I’ve finally completed it today. I was always under the impression that the final bosses were unbeatable and beating it was a lost cause. But I learned that to beat this game, you need to play a *lot* of Free Duels to assemble the best cards, both quickly and efficiently and slow and stalling. When I reached the last bosses, I was rocking Meteor B Dragon, Dark Magician, Skull Knight, Red Eyes Black Dragon and of course, Megamorph. The duels were still tough and cheating, especially Seto and his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon, but I was able to beat him and the last two. I feel like I’ve achieved a lifelong ambition and it feels like a weight’s been lifted from my shoulders.
Also if you beat "Kaiba" on S Tec you have a chance of getting widespread ruin and chrush card, and Pegasus drops Megamorph on S Tec, and when you fuse two Dian Kato's youll get also Megamorph.
Dude, I just did the same thing, beat the game today. Never could beat it as a kid but, grinded out good cards and finally beat the game 15 years later.
This game is StUPID hard but when you beat it yeah it's thrilling
In average you need about 1000 duels to create a deck good enough to beat the game... Oof, btw did you know theres a very small change of getting ultimate blue eyes if you beat nightmate in S-pow?

If they do they need to change the reward system at the very least.
Lets hope EA doesnt get to remake this game, otherwise all the better Cards will have a 0.0000001% chance to drop and if you want to have a 0.0000002% chance you can buy one of their loot boxes that has a 0.000001% to drop a item that increases the droprate for 1 hour

@@rcfrogman This game did get a remake (sorta?). Yugioh Forbidden Memories 2 is a fanmade version of the game with more cards, and more importantly, more fusions. I've seen cards fused to make 4000 attack monsters without any equip or field cards.

it took me 4 years to beat this game on an legit run, why you ask? it was on PS1 and I had no access to internet, that was 12 years ago, adding to that too I had zero knowledge in english. but hey, it was worth.

nico raka i think it took me about 150 duels to get one from seto 3. Then I used the memory card trick to get the next two copies. No way I was doing more matches

What season aired at the time of this game release?

@@kyubi5458 Talking about the Anime, the Anime is several wrong most of the time, the Original Yu Gi Oh wasnt 100% about duel monsters. Also their are HUGH differences between the manga and the anime.

Swallow_Skyla : Yeah, those guardian stars do the major part. Mars vs Jupiter, Sun vs Moon, Mercury vs Sun, Venus vs Mercury, Moon vs Venus, Pluto vs Neptune, Jupiter vs Saturn, Saturn vs Pluto, Neptune vs Uranus, and Uranus vs Mars.
When I first dueled DarkNite he used B Skull Dragon + 3 megamorphs.
The first time i dueled him (2 weeks ago) he used 3 blue eyes ultimate dragons :'v

i remember playing this game AFTER getting my first structure deck(Yugi) and reading the rule book as a kid. i first response was wtf is this mess. Then i tool the video gamey approach, farmed the first duel against that OP guy in the intro until i won once and got meteor black dragon card. loved the game from that point forward lol

Best Yu-Gi-Oh videogame I've ever played, actually I've played just 3 but seen many gameplays of various titles. Maybe just because nostalgia but I still love this game over all.
Nah, that's a horrible one, at least if you've seen the anime before playing, because the rules are too different. Duelists of the Roses is way better in my opinion.

Actually there is no reason he drops that card and it still drops that card very rarely. This game was a mess..

@@jamescassin3772but you also get meteor dragon off mage and red eyes off jono so u can have 6x meteor b in your deck which is what I did than I put 3x raigeki 3x mega morph 3x bright castle 3x dragon treasure 3x skull knight (also meadow mage) 3x Kunai 3x Gaia and 3x curse of dragon and 3x kunai with chain, plus 3x mountain,, I’ve gotten both a 8000 attack meteor b on the field and 5 meteor b. Dragons on the field before lol opponent don’t stand a chance XD

Turn 1.5 nightmare: blue eyes ultimate
Turn 2 meteor b + mega morph + bright castle
Orr turn 1 skull knight = base 3150 attack because the field starts dark

Man this game is messed up the best fusion monster you can get in the starter Deck turns to be the most reliable monster till the end game.
Got this game when it came out I was 11. I remember my dad and I had a notebook full of all the fusions and what equip works with what. Must have played a couple thousand duels.

Dennis Morter after you beat the game I believe you can get another characters by load -> campaign (remember to save after last battle). This will redo the campaign from start but with your current deck.

Good god, this game expects you to win 7 games in a row to finish it. The Labyrinth Mage, the twin duelists, Heishin, Seto, Darknite, AND Nitemare all back to back. Lose a single one of those duels? Don't care, start from the beginning. Now I can understand MAYBE 3 duels back to back for the finale. But my god man! 7? Really??
If you think this is hard, then play mod 13, its way worse, the high mages actually use the strongest card based on their field. Secmenton = Fortress Whale, Turtle Crab? Atenza = B. Skull Dragon, Meteor B. Dragon, blue eyes white dragon Anubisus = perfectly ultimate great moth Kepura = gate guardian

You should already have meteor b dragon, equip cards and different ways to get twin headed Thunder dragon by the time you duel them, the only hard enemies are Seto 3 and Nitemare since they have the ultimate blue eyes
Use ps emulator save feature so if you lose you don't have yo start over

you should just keep the mars instead of sun when meteor b.dragon vs moth, it will increase the attack since the moth are mercury. But its still nice tho

I remember getting this game for Christmas with my PS2. I Didn't have a ps1 memory card so for the longest time I would keep the PS2 ON. sometimes my dad would turn off the PS2 and all my data would be gone. The day I got a ps1 memory card I was so happy. Left right right left I belive was the pattern for the maze. It was so cool you could type in the yugioh card number to buy it. Only for it to be 9999999....star chips haha. I never beat the game but I beat seto and then made it to the Jafar dude at the end only to lose to him lol. Man playing around with the fusions and stuff before we could look up strategy 🤣 good times.
Its not cheating. Its frame exploiting. The CPU behavior depends on the frame which you enter the battle.

From what I remember, if you put any monster face-down then he will summon BEUD on his first turn, then it's instalose. You have to always put monster face-up then the strongest monster he will summon is Gate Guardian. Don't know if I am talking nonsense but thats how I beat the game back then with THTD + equip cards + umi
It actually works like that for the entire game.
You played a face down monster on your first turn? Prepare to get a fusion from your opponent on his first turn. It happens most of the time, unless your opponent prioritizes something like spell field. Meadow Mage usually plays Sogen first then plays his minions later.
EDIT: I'm currently playing YGO FM, no cheating, only grinding, and that's a hell of a grinding.
I think the game is pretty enjoyable, but wouldn't put it above YGO GX Beginning of Destiny from PS2.
