Why does this make me cry ?
Maybe because:
A) The flat earther guy is a morally decent person whose belief in conspiracy theories seriously threatens to (and most likely will) destroy his love life
B) The relationship in this cartoon is most likely going to fail tragically when neither the man nor the woman can change the other's mind
C) So many people waste their lives and have their social relationships ruined due to belief in crazy conspiracy theories like QAnon or the Flat Earth conspiracy
And/or
D) Its always awkward for anyone to interact with and argue with someone else of opposing beliefs because its reminds a person that regardless of what you or they believe, both you and their beliefs have little influence on the world. That reminds a person that both you and them are most likely people who have little influence or impact on this world.
