Prominent geometric patterns known as “parametric jewels” appear throughout the SUV’s design, giving it a progressive character. The most prominent display of these parametric jewels is on the vehicle’s front grille, where Parametric Hidden Lights provide a strong first impression. When the lights are off, the front of the vehicle appears covered in dark, geometric patterns, with no distinction between the signature LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), which are seamlessly integrated into the grille. Thanks to state-of-the-art half-mirror lighting technology, when the DRLs are switched on, the dark chrome appearance of the grille transforms into jewel-like shapes, bringing an eye-catching element to an otherwise sleek appearance.
The seamless integration of state-of-the-art technology provides all-new Tucson customers with an advanced and fully-customisable digital experience. This includes a fully digital, configurable dual cockpit, which consists of a new 10.25-inch open digital cluster and new 10.25-inch AVN-touch screen, which fills the centre of the vehicle. Hyundai’s designers dispensed with physical knobs and buttons, so all AVN and heat, ventilation and air conditioning functions are controlled via touch, making it the first Hyundai model to feature a full touchscreen console. The all-new Tucson is also equipped with the latest version of Hyundai’s Bluelink® connected car services.
With gasoline and diesel 48-volt gasoline and diesel mild hybrid, full hybrid and plug-in hybrid available to consumers, the all-new Tucson offers the widest range of electrified powertrains in the compact SUV segment. On top of the powertrain line-up at launch is the 1.6-litre T-GDI Smartstream hybrid version with an output of 230 PS. Beginning of next year, the line-up will be completed by a powerful plug-in hybrid variant with 265 PS.

High-quality soft-touch materials appear throughout the interior, lifting the look and feel to a new level, while new indirect air vents start from the doors and flow to the centre console.
The all-new Tucson’s dynamic proportions and new platform provide a wide, open interior space that guarantees occupants comfort and roominess usually reserved for models in the segment above. At 20mm longer, 15mm wider, and a wheelbase that has been increased by 10mm as compared to the previous generation, the all-new Tucson is more spacious than ever before. As a result, rear passengers can enjoy 26mm of additional legroom. This has been achieved for both the hybrid and internal combustion engine models, due to a clever placement of the battery underneath the rear passenger seats. Meanwhile, boot space has been increased, offering up to 620 litres overall for luggage with the seats up and up to 1,799 litres with the seats folded, depending on the chosen trim and powertrain.

I ordered the 2022 Hyundai Tuscon Limited Hybrid in September and they expect it to be in next month, January 2022. I just drove one on the lot for the second time the other day because it's been so long since I ordered it I forgot what it drove like. I had read people commented about bad cabin noise and how it took curves. I live in central Pennsylvania lots of curves, I had no problem with any of the curves, the huge mountain I went up, drove like a dream and I heard no road noise in the cabin. I just can't wait because I ordered it with all the bells and whistles.. been a Hyundai owner, along with my late husband, since 1990. Our son still has our 2001 Santa Fe which was the first Santa Fe out. Never had it in for any repairs until this year when he just needed new tires and it has about 150,000 on it. Love Hyundai's and love their warranty. I'm 78 and needed a car with higher multi adjustable seats, many more safety features, and more cargo space for all of my sewing equipment I take the class is quite often. As soon as I got in the other day and adjusted that seat into place my hip stopped hurting. It's phenomenal and the front passenger seat is also the eight function mult i adjustable seat. I don't plan to drive in snow although we get enough. But I'm happy to see this video. Thank you
Thanks Maureen for feedback 👍Really useful for many people. The car is great you will love it. 🙂🙏
I completely agree with you on this. Ive have Hyundais for well over 15 years and Ive never ran into any issues with any of my 4 cars till date. Ive literally seen and felt how the company has improved over the years and its just shocking how they have improved all their cars.
Just like you, recently booked the 2022 Tucson Hybrid on November and expecting delivery on August 2022.
@maureen i live in pennsylvania and i own a tucson hybrid 22, I’ve had it for 3.5 months, drives great! although mileage is not as advertised!!
@@SrinivasanChakravarthy It’s the EPA who determines the MPG. Hyundai can only advertise what the EPA determines.
@@SDADanCars you have to drive slower when you are driving throw the horses !
I am new to Hyundai . Always bought Toyota before now . Father Inlaw bought Hyundai Santa Cruz and my first thought was. “WoW” . Bought a Santa Cruz limited 2 weeks later . Really like what Hyundai has done with there newer Vehicles. What turned me over to Hyundai was I researched any Hyundai news and read everywhere that the company decided to get there reputation back some time ago with “Top Quality”. Now that is how you sell a car!!
Best yet was the Hyundai dealership was not marking up the vehicles or adding extras. Even went above and beyond to get me the car we wanted.
Yes they are great 👍
wanted to thank you so much for this video! This pretty much sealed the deal for me here in the northeastern USA. I've been back and forth between this and a Ford Maverick, but your winter driving pretty much is the stress tester and what I'm currently experiencing. I'm looking for a Tucson right now. Great content. Def recommending your channel to others :)
Thanks Kevin really appreciate your feedback my friend 👍🙏🤗 Enjoy the car and let me know how it is
Yes the Tucson hybrid and plug-in hybrids are here. You'll love the improved gas mileage and horsepower over the regular petrol/ gas only version.
👍👍
Thank you so much for this video. Your weather is just like our Canadian winters and I was on the fence between this and a Ford. You sealed the deal for the Hyundai.
Thanks Lee for feedback 👍 It is a great car you will love it
My wife and I just bought a 2022 limited for our birthdays. 3 local dealers said they're not in yet, but will be in soon, this
was Christmas week. We ordered the Limited w/ Intense Blue, Gray leather, Convenience & Comfort packages. It arrived and bought it 12.28.21. We love it. It has every trick in the book !! Window sticker price $36,630⁰⁰... Won't need snow tires. We're in Tampa Bay Fla, USA.
Although the "hot seat" and steering wheel felt great in 50°... Rough Winter !!
Thanks Mark for feedback and infos 🙂🙏👍Drive it safe and enjoy it
@@SDADanCars Great demonstration and very well explained❄️⛄️❄️🚘❄️🌲 No snow in Florida, not even ice..makes me want to move back North to❄️❄️❄️ Maryland where we had 4 seasons🌲🚗❄️ AMAZING MACHINE !!❄️🌲❄️🙂🌲
Got mine last May. With proper tires and the AWD system it handles Canadian winters very well.
Thanks for feedback 👍👍
I have my 2021 Tucson Hybrid from september. I love this car. I drove it in deep snow on allseason tires Continental and have no problem with. I can use only 19 inch wheels on my Tucson. That is the reason why i bought allseason tires. Tucson is unstoppable if u can drive... 👍
Yes it is super good 👌
Yes I used to drive a sedan with snow tires but I have a Tuscon with all seasons and it's good.
Love the new Tucson !! thanks !!
Thanks for this testdrive on a lot of snow. You need on this condition winter tires. And also you have clean the sensors if you're parking the car. Hyundai Tucson 2022 is still a beautifull car with a lot safety options. I get my Tucson 2022 on March. I'm looking forward!
Yes you are right 👍🙂 Great choice you will love it
Thank you for this "Tucson in the Snow" Video.Delivery of my ordered NX4 postponed from December 2021 to April 2022.
I ordered with Winter Wheels/Tyres and think I have to wait testing these until winter next year.
Cool 👍
As a vermonter i can say that its easy to drive in snow on flats. Can you do a hill test? Thats where the actual challenge is.
I’ve got one that’s two weeks old and enjoyed watching you in the snow, though it does not seem to me like a lot of snow. This does make me home sick for my several years with the USAF (dependent) and USArmy (Active Duty) days. Hahn, Hanau, and Nuebrucke.
🙂Yes true 👍 It is a nice car. Drive is safe and enjoy it
@@SDADanCars whooo hooo! We got between 6" and a foot in my area and I have to work as a nurse. I didn't film because I needed to drive, but I got though drifts and ice. I had to go past a vehicle disabled in the middle of the road and ended up sliding into an empty field for few hundred feet. I kept going slow and got back to my unplowed road. This car with the big battery weight and respectable road clearance height drives better in snow than 3 trucks I've had. Was very confidence building. Happy happy!
Thanks Dan , great video man , what a fabulous car and I might add great driving ! Looks like a Christmas card beautiful scenery !
Thanks Jeff 👍 🙏 🙂Yes indeed was a beautiful day there ....🙂Now is all back
I have the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid 2022 with HTrac. Loved your video!!! I'm in the US and looking forward to our first snow too!
It is a great car 🙂👍Thanks for feedback 🙏
Hello from Canada! Thank you for producing this, Dan!
I've seen a number of your Tucson related videos, since I have a Tucson PHEV Ultimate on order and want to learn more about the car. You and other UA-camrs have helped with that.
Question: What brand of alloy wheels/rims are those? They look very good. Thank you.
Ja Ennis, same here: I too have ordered a Plug-in-Hybrid middle of august and have to wait and wait ... may bis till end of february 2022 ... I hope, not longer over this date!!! ...smile ....
Ennis I can't remember the name of rims 😪
Hi Ennis, great question. I think I'll be trading in my Mazda CX-5 to join with the Tucson PHEV as it seems to be an impressive package Not sure about the rims but please checkout the Nokian Hakkapelitta SUV tires (I purchased my set at KAL Tire Canada). I bought a brand new set of Michelin Xice 2 and had to sell because they were awful in the snow. Bridgestone Blizzak tires are great too but please also invest in a great set of tires. Nokian are from Finland and they're more pricey than Michelins, but they're the best money can buy imo.
Hi Ennis! I am from Canada too. I booked the Hybrid Ultimate and expecting delivery mid of August 2022.
@@kerrirodrigues7892 wow. That's a long time to wait but can understand given the demand for the Tucson and the global chip shortage faced by all auto manufacturers.
Great idea to test it during winter condition! I have been wondering should I pay little extra for hybrid 4x4 but after your test I think now it is worthwhile as for me safety is very important.
Yes Tomasz I think it is worth 👍
Can you do a snow drive test with Santa Fe diesel please 😊🤩. I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS because of you know i found my dream car💕
Anca I will try my best as soon as I will have some snow here 🙂👍🙏Thanks for support 🤗
The perfect test conditions for the 4x4 version of this terrific car. What winter tyres were on the car Dan?
Great review my friend. Take care.

Hi Trev, there was some no name tires....I can't even remember the name of them ...but never heard of...🙂
I have the Michelin Cross Climate 2 and they are awesome!@@SDADanCars
Let us know when you've purchased your tucson. It'll take a while waiting for its delivery, though. Got my plug-in 3 months ago and i'm completely in love with it. All i wanna do is drive.
Raf the car is splendid 👍🙂
From Vietnam, I am ownner and love this car!
Nice 👍
So much snow. im still waiting for it :D hope these days will be snowing
Dan I have a feeling that this year will be alot of snow 🙂👍
A smaller car doesn't need to drive slower than a Tucson. Put the best winter tires on those and it will be hard for you to follow. Need more knowledge about cars. Love that you love driving in snow, would like more videos like that.
Thanks for feedback 👍 🙏
Nice Video ! Can you make a Test Drive in the Snow with a Ev6? I would like it!

Hello from USA I love your review. Can you drive more on up hill and more spinning wheel challenge situation.
Hi 👋 🙂I will try my best to do another video
It is also a lot about the tires, soft rubber and FWD would also work well 😀
Yes right 👍
Those wipers seams they have mind and speed of his own.
I did change it a few times that why they move different 😁
@@SDADanCars It is noticeable that you struggle to find optimal speed. Even today "auto" setting in many cars is bad no matter of conditions and we have to manually adjust wipers way to many times. It seams that software and sensors are the same as they were 10-15 years ago.
I'm in Florida, on a cold, cold day in the 50's (F) had the heater up on 90 and could not get get my '22 Tucson hybrid warm inside. Glad it has heated seats.

Wow ! Nice new model of the well known Hyundai Tucson, and now a hybrid! Nice car review also and you seems very friendly too.. how iwish i can have one of those. Here in the Philippines we have a different new model, anyways ,im your newest subscriber. Keep safe.
Hallo Greg 🙂Thanks for feedback my friend 🙏👍🍻
Hi Dan.
Thank you very much for your review.
Amazing job.
I already bought this Hyundai Tucson and I love it, just waiting for snow 🙂 and will try snow mode as well.
Just quick question, and please do not take me bad.
Tucson which you presented was really “mild hybrid” with 1.6T-GDi HTRAC??
Tucson what you drove in your review has petrol engine 1.6T-GDi with 6AT and mild hybrid (48V) and has 230HP (PS), correct??
Because on official Hyundai site - Tucson 1.6T-GDi and with mild hybrid (48V) has only 180PS (HP) and instead of 6AT has 7CDT, right??
And drive modes - Eco / Sport or Terrain Mode (Snow, Mud, Sand) are available only for Tucson HEV or Tucson Plug-in Hybrid, correct??
Mine is Tucson Premium HEV (full hybrid + upgrades (techno pack and premium pack)), and it looks same as Tucson you drove in your review with all features you mentioned there.
Price what I paid for was almost same (approx. 42000€).
Hyundai Tucson (NX4) HEV Premium
1.6T-GDI 169kW 6AT 4x4 (HTRAC)
+ techno pack
+ premium pack
+ ECS (Electronically controlled suspension)
+ Dark Knight colour with light grey leather
- (higher version is just Tucson N-Line).
1.6 T-GDI
1598 cm3
132.2 kW / 180PS
Electro-motor
44.2 kW / 60PS
Battery
1.49 kW
6AT / 4x4 (HTRAC)
I bought for winter - MAK alloys 17” + Bridgestone Blizzak LM005
(215/65 R17 103V 7,0 J x 17 ET43,5 5x114,3),
and it is something amazing drive Tucson with these tires.
Hi Stefan, The Blizzak LM005 are good I have it also on my Model 3 😁 Also you are right it was the Full Hybrid. 👍180 hp only Petrol + EV motor go to 230hp if I remember well
Great video, bravo!
...and great car, too! :)

nice reviw brother i order this car today and its my first time to use an automatic. question when you finish parking did you press the boton park or the hand break? and when you want to run do you need to press the handbreak off?

Hi my dear friend ! Thank you for another fantastic review, it's always a real pleasure.
Thanks Meir mu friend 🤗🙏👍Hapoy to see you here
Hi Dan I have same car plug-in version. What is the difference technically speaking between ECO-HEV mode and SNOW mode? Nobody know even Hyundai dealer. Great car with some small missings but it's a asian car. In the winter conditions with heat set at 24 degrees in EV with ICE engine only giving heat cost is 12.7 EUR/100Km. In I drive in HEV same 100Km same conditions cost are 13.4 EUR/km. Price used for calculation is smallest here in Bucharest, Romania at type2 AC stations 0.23 EUR/kWh. At home price is now is 1.15 EUR/kWh but from next year will rise up at 0.27 EUR/kWh. So it's cheap in summer when not use engine to give heat otherwise to wait 2 hours to charge for so small diffence in money.
Hi Gabriel, Snow Mode activate somehow a better stability and traction....I have seen a video a long time ago from Hyundai where they explain how the car react on different modes. They say that the traction of the wheels change somehow....👍
My Tuscon SEL is ready for me to pick up as well , did not get the limited edition but still excited to get it , I waited about 8 wks for it and the price i think is fair paid 32K out the door is this market now I think that was good not great but good

Thanks for feedback 👍if you want to see more about the car I have another video with it. There is the Review
canadian snow ❄️❄️
I wonder why the wipers produce so much noise even if the car is brand new. They sound like they have been used for quite some years in very ruff conditions. All and all, the car looks pretty good, the exterior is not my type tho, I like way more the previous version of the model, but this is something subjective. Maybe the facelift will convince me. Take a look at the Renault Austral. It looks and feels way better than this!
Because of the ICE they sound like this .........
I have a Nissan Murano, with 265 HP, fully equipped... Don't you think that I'll change my car for a Hyunday-schit car!!!
Love your videos , not sure when Hyundai is going to launch this gen 4 Tucson in India. but I am eagerly waiting for it.
Thank you very much 👍 🙏I hope soon
Nice car and all but perhaps give it a challenge that a 1992 rear-wheel drive buick couldn't handle.
🙂👍
Good video, even if you call that a lot of snow. :-) But even here in the mountains of Idaho, most driving is done in the same snow conditions. If I order one, I will find out how it does in snow over a foot deep and up and down 10% grades. However, I will replace the tires the first thing with some better, than factory equipped AT/snow rated tires. But thanks for the video.
Thanks Douglas for feedback 👍🙂You are right

Dear Dan, can you tell me if you can heat the car remotely with your phone?
I think you can only with plug in version. From what I know you need to have engine on in order to have heater on
Your idea of Deep snow and mine are totally different. 8 " plus would be deep snow. Judging by the tire sidewall your in 3" at most. Not a Deep snow test at all.
😁Yes I understand
Use “so far” instead of “until now”
I think the Tucson is a wonderful car and it’s one of my top choices for a hybrid vehicle. That’s why I was so disappointed watching this video. I could clearly see the car slipping several times before you would quickly edit it out. Why? No car would be able to drive at that speed, under those conditions without occasional sliding. Even snow tires and features would not have some difficulty in that weather. This was terrible, you should have given your viewers an honest video instead of cutting out the car’s natural reactions.
Yes Sharon I think same 👍🙂
did u have in SNOW mode... locked AWD?
Yes it has ...not sure about lock
