Hyundai is killing it with affordable but still including the features that are supposed to set high end apart from the rest. Hope this channel picks up for you, I'm digging the format.
I love the way we get to discover what the vehicle does at the same time you do! Your "real-time" review style is the best! And your expressions and natural reactions are the best!
Another thoroughly entertaining review Sarah! One request. .we are probably not all gearheads who watch...could you sometimes give a one or two sentence description of why you lock/unlock a differential, or engage/disengage traction control or a component that the everyday driver might not know about. Not looking for a complete narrative throughout, just a sprinkle in here and there 👍👍
That Metallica reference! I was like that looks like the “M or A” from their font! You are a genius and such a breath of fresh air for car review/mechanical content! Thanks for being you! See ya on the next one Sarah!
Love this channel! Your review is right on; my wife owns a Tucson and its a mixed bag, just as you present the one in the review. Wouldn't buy another one, but no reason to dump the one we have. Keep up the awesome work, you are really making a name for yourself, and its well deserved!
Like the wrench scale, I was wondering if you could throw a little Midwesterner prospective in there, like the foam floor underneath like is there a lot of places for snow and salt to accumulate and rot the underside quickly, winters are harsh in iowa, thought it'd be interesting to see how well vehicles could hold up over time, great review though 👍 as always
@@GiveItTheBeans Sarah, what if every few days you just do the work on your project cars and don't worry about filming it? Then when you do your 12 hour day, edit the next day and give your self a day off the third day? Something like that IDK just some ideas?
OOoo - yes, I love the idea of the "mechanics score". And I agree - modern Hyundai/Kia stuff seems to be very well thought out to make maintenance easy. Enjoying the format of this new channel too - covers a lot of stuff in a short time.
OK, first and foremost, GREAT INTRO! Nice breakdown on the review! However, most of all, this had me laughing so much. TY for that! This is most likely your quirkiest upload to date. I cannot express this enough. GREAT JOB!
Hey Sarah in Tuscon 😂 Question: When you try to climb that first, steep hill - does Traction Control off really help? maybe you lose the torq vectoring? I'd be interested if that's inline with the manual. I agree that on vehc with 3 difflocks this shoudn't be a factor, but that car doesn't
I have a 2023 Tuscon SEL AWD with the convenience package, [same wheels and tires] yes those rear axles are scary, not made for offroad though. I live in NC but i have a house in WV and in the winter its great in the snow and ice and gets 30 MPG highway, handling and steering is great too. I change oil every 4500 NOT the suggested 8000. Air and cabin filter change in a matter of seconds. Yes its slow but i didn't buy it to drag race, it's about 10 seconds to 60. I LOVE the blue link so i can start it with my phone, turn on heat or AC
AWD/4WD systems are different and confusing enough, so terminology is important. Haldex, which originally was a purely mechanical hydraulic system, as diverged from that since they were bought by Borg Warner. Most AWD systems these days are electronically controlled clutch packs, and on that Tucson it looked to be part of the rear differential case. For that reason, it is not really correct to refer to any of these types of devices in the centre of the driveline as differentials, since they are not constructed or operate as an actual differential does. And though Hyundai does have a button to "lock" the clutch pack, I understand that that it unlocks above a certain speed, which is a real issue up here where we actually get snow.
Just placed my order for the 2022 Hyundai Tuscon PHEV and I hear it's got a lot more "oomf" to it in regards to speed. I am coming from a 2020 Mazda CX-5 and am a tad nervous, but this looked like a pretty decent ride! Thanks for the fun review :)
Reviews that mean something. Missing would be, historical reliability of the model and the pricing of a group of replacement parts ( always the same 5-6 parts) that would permit to compare long term ownership costs between models and makes. Thanks for the quality of your work. It is very informative.
Imagine Hyundai make it so accessible and easy to work on because their warranty is 5 years + on most models so any problems they know it'll be their technicians 9/10 fixing it :). I've said it before (out loud) but Hyundai recent 'glow up' is really great to see :) Love the vids Sarah :)
i test drove one in phoenix. there is a plastic trim just below the headrest that gets hot in the summer, the back of my neck got sorta burned on it so look out
I’ve got a Tuscan hybrid coming in 2 days (I hope) and I really really enjoyed your little off road segment. Memories of my misspent youth just as my second childhood is coming round the bend!
5:38 you look fabulous to me ! Love your makeup game by the way Did you review the Mazda CX-5 ? I’m considering buying one can it stand the harsh Arabian climate and roads ?
Sarah, I like your new channel. I also really like your test track in AZ. It's got all the obstacles that are needed to test an off-road vehicle. I guess I judge your braking test by how much your hair flies forward? Works for me. Keep this going; it's valuable information that we need.
If Charlie is riding along, you can use the deflection angle of his beard once the upper body restraint locks up. During a recent braking test in the new Hummer EV, the beard deflection angle (BDA) was a full 90° along with a well chosen expletive.
I've be waiting for this review, great to see the car from underneath , which cant be done in dealers, I'm waiting for mine to be delivered , Here in Australia some specs are different 1.6T AWD ... love the way you present you scores ( go the beans ) missed the penguins. Keep up the great reviews
Hyundai is my favorite auto maker right know, and Kia is there also. I just traded down from a palisade limited to Tucson limited. Love it but missing few options I think all limited Hyundai should have hud and what's with the hood holder strut please
Totally agree with thw repaor access. I was surprised the engine wasn't shoehorned into thw bay on my daughters 2018 KIA. It's a please to be able to reach and get it done. All of their family products are not speed demons, just a mom and dad cars.
Sarah, I'm about to purchase my first SUV and first vehicle, please guide me,.. what brand and middle do you recommend that I should purchase without no remorse or regrets....I really need a reliable vehicle.
Hyundai is killing it with affordable but still including the features that are supposed to set high end apart from the rest.
Hope this channel picks up for you, I'm digging the format.
Yeah I like this lady
I'm a car tech and I give Hyundais the highest repairability score, they are the easiest cars I've ever done engine replacements on.
Funny you say that because hyundai is doing better than toyota and just as reliable
Love the new channel. There are some of us who like the specs and capabilities of a vehicle. Love the new wrench scoring also!
🔧🔧🔧 👍
I love the way we get to discover what the vehicle does at the same time you do! Your "real-time" review style is the best! And your expressions and natural reactions are the best!
I wish my Tesla had a Cadillac converter. It does have a remote control though.
Thanks for taking the Tucson off road and testing its off road capability. Your off road test is the best of all the videos out there.
You seemed to be having a lot of fun doing this review. I love that for you! Thanks, Sarah.

A Tucson in Tucson. MIND BLOWN!
The "wrench" score is a great addition! Both me and my wife were chuckling at your "Tucson in Tucson" jokes. 🔥👍
🔧🔧🔧 👍
I read that as wench score.. Whoops.. 🌮🌮🌮🌮
The new channel is doing well! I like a deeper dive into the techy stuff.
Can't wait to see you rip the Focus around that area. Yet again, another really good review ! Thanks !
Review the Hybrid version!
The gas engine lacks power..
The Hybrid (which I'm seriously considering buying) is the fast one.
Same here! I'm back and forth between the Hybrid and the Plug-in Hybrid!
Absolutely the most professional camera work inside and outside of the vehicle. Outstanding production.
That Metallica reference! I was like that looks like the “M or A” from their font! You are a genius and such a breath of fresh air for car review/mechanical content! Thanks for being you! See ya on the next one Sarah!
🤘🤘
🤘🤘
You are doing an Amazing job. Please review Mitsubishi Outlander 2022
A grocery-getter with some built-in “fun” and a luxurious interior… and bird songs. I think Hyundai will sell a boatload of these. Excellent review! 👍
This is literally the best Tucson review. Kinda wish you'd have done the hybrid though! Far more popular and much quicker.
Liking the new “difficulty/easy to work on scale” addition
Thanks!
Love seeing you smiling and laughing!
I was thinking 3 wrenches as well! Thank you for praising those engineers, I look forward to you calling out the deaf ones.
🔧🔧🔧 👍

As always another great car review
I bought the 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid Limited and we just love that car. It is AWESOME!!
I love cars with Cadillac converters. Great new channel
I saw you said hi in Faye's live chat. Hi.
I’m glad that Life of Palos is finally giving your main channel the props it deserves…
Absolutely love the wrench score! You go girl!!!
🔧🔧🔧👍
You so deserve a bigger audience...
I need more help making these videos first, I can’t deliver until then.

On a small suv it should be called a curb cam because it will never be on a trail unless it's being reviewed.

The best reaviews always has talks about the bigest problems in the videos

I got one for the family. It’s best value for the money, I found.

It's got Smaht Pahk!! Works in Dorchester, works in Saugus, works in Natick!!
Funny commercial!! 👍👍
Great review Sarah. Yours are my favorite. Love the way you do it.

You should've got the CX-5 2.5 turbo... still the best engine in class.
Your new channel is the bomb and the beans too.
The wrench score is a welcome addition. It seems that your brain is always running, similar to mine. For myself, it's a blessing and a curse.
🔧🔧🔧👍
Sry, I don't care for the car, I am just here because you are the funniest woman ever.
Thanks so much for making me laugh a LOT :D

Hey Sara, just wanted to point out you don't have any associated channels. maybe vice versa as well
Sweet - you're feeling good, in a great mood 👍

Such fun riding with you. Keep 'em comin'.

I like the little bean in the corner for your logo. Great review Sarah. Imagine if hyundai made a card called a phoenix.
Sarah Sarah it not made to go off road so why why do try it ?
Love this channel. Looking forward to more of these videos. very unique.

Love your freckles
You need to have a gps performance reader. It’ll help out the views of the performance.
Love your style, very entertaining and of course knowledgeable. You rock and I rate you "awesome" thanks for the ride!
Very helpful review. One question..does this car come with strut or sway bars?
👏👏👏👏😎 excellent new category spanners 🔧🔧🔧.......great to have the brakes looked at and test all in one 👏👏👏👏👏👏😎😎😎🐕👍
No bolster test.. Boo hiss. Otherwise nicely done.

Everything you review. You make it look fun!
Yes! A Wrench score! You are so awesome!
Like what you are doing with the new format. But should still show the mpg stats.
Great video, Sarah
the ghost person is adorable
You should review Tuscon the city from Tuscon the car.
hey sarah, i was just wondering, if you get video feedback from the car companys, that you review
So, no chances to go to Santa Cruz and review a Santa Cruz? Even if top spec offers 2.5L turbo with a DCT...
Really love your fully detailed and awesome video …kudos to you 🙏
I want a Cadillac converter for my car too ...Sarah, where can I get a Cadillac converter?
I agree Kia's and Hyundai's also stand out too me as being alot easier to work on.
I would love to see you review a Jeep Grand Cherokee trail hawk.
I own a 2024 Tucson Ultimate PHEV
Metallica wheels 😀
I think I saw you driving this around the other day. Great having someone famous in my hood!
🤘🤘
Someone keeping their word is like finding a pearl under a seat (PRICELESS)
the B outside the window torque vectoring of the Hyundai is genius technical branding, beat that BMW Xdrive
Fantastic review!
Do you think you could get hold of a Kia Seltos? Interesting car- dual clutch auto, awd, small 4 cylinder turbo, affordable
Sarah,
I'm about to purchase my first SUV and first vehicle, please guide me,.. what brand and middle do you recommend that I should purchase without no remorse or regrets....I really need a reliable vehicle.
i have a white with black limited for the wifey coming and cant find crap for turbos.
Yeah like the Tucson in Tucson, the wrench score excellent addition.
Why didn't you use the paddle shifters to downshift and assist in braking?
