The Zanskar is a small, almost forgotten valley surrounded by the Himalayas. When the snow-covered mountain passes are inaccessible, people are cut off from the outside world. Except for a frozen stream. The 120 km (75 miles) path is extremely dangerous. Meet the men, women and children who risk their lives to get to school, deliver goods and carry supplies on this scary ice trail.
The trials in my life no longer seem significant. I am so greatly blessed. What a incredible and wonderful people they are, an example of grit and determination, overcoming incredible obstacles all with a smile on their faces. May God bless and keep them, for they are truly special. 🙏
I will never complain about life again. This video made me realized that im so blessed & should be more than thankful for what i have. Thank you Lord for everything that i have now. Pls bless these kind of people on earth.🙏🏻
After 26 years in the military, I can say without hesitation & with confidence that their endurance is unmatched!!!!..."yet, none of the children ever complains about the cold or the length of this interminable trip" 🤯 🙏🏽🙏🏽May God continue to bless them with such grace, happiness, endurance, & resilience 🙏🏽🙏🏽
They were told to live there . When the population grew their country would proclaim the territory belongs to them. Thia land is ours look our people lives here , so this is ours.
Commenting from Nairobi, Kenya. I am truly humbled by this episode. As a cyclist I can't help but wonder what my life would have been like if I was born there.
Saresti stato un super ciclista di montagna. Più i posti sarebbero stati pericolosi, tipo discese, pendici, muretti, strapiombo ecc... è più saresti stato bravo. Saluti Italia.
Any person who says they're tough and strong need to watch this and then think! Some of them so young and old put well fed young men to shame. I wish I could give them all enough for a comfortable year without such hardships. Thank you for sharing their stories of life it has taught many, me included!
I thought my life in the Andes was hard. No more. Wow. Amazing how their lives are so difficult, yet they always seem so happy. This film has made me even more grateful for what I have. Truly, the LORD has blessed me
I don’t know why I just can’t stop crying and it’s not sad crying !!! What is this ? Beyond humans words can be expressed, they are the incredible souls come to earth to have the human experience from impossible to possible!!! RESPECT 💯🤍💯 With gratitude and unconditional love 🙏🙏🙏🤍✨🤍🙏🙏🙏
These beautiful brave indigenous people have nerves of steel, camaraderie, true grit and determination to venture out in such treacherous and life threatening landscapes. May the be forever protected by God and they thrive to become a new country on the map of the world. 👏👏💗💗🇬🇧

Te doy gracias Señor por todo lo que nos das a mi y a mi familia. Te pido por esta pobre gente. Cuanto sufrimiento y yo que me quejo por mucho menos. No hay comparación.

We have visited Zanskar during sunny days but this journey in harsh snowy season is incredible- incredible. Salute to our gallant countrymen, women and children.
These beautiful men and women have given me a new appreciation for all the comforts i have taken for granted. May God keep them from evil and bless them with Eternal Life in Jesus Christ!
that was riveting. thanks for sharing. so interesting and makes me feel so grateful for my life but yet a little envious at the people's solidarity, sorely lacking in the west. xo
Asombrosa la convivencia de las personas acostumbrados al frío extremo se ve que lo disfrutan comparten los pocos alimentos entre todos y los niños aprenden como vivir en su país y el sitio que eligieron ❤😊
I couldn't really stop watching even though I have to go to some place.. I havre learned one thing from this documentary . every human being must have the will power to live on this planet. May god bless them.
Respect to them for not giving up and their resilience. They should get some sacred coca leaves from the Incas to help with cold and hunger. Thank you for the excellent documentary❤
These are places I wish Icould have lived for a while after working for about a decade, I can no longer doubt the wisdom of those kids who ventured to places like this, it's an experience beyond imagination.
Courageous people. Very harsh conditions and looks exhausting indeed. Is so 😢to see the children in this harsh conditions. Kudos to the camera crew to go there to film this.
👉🏾 I’m in the United States Of America, sitting on my bed with a heating pad, and a bag of popcorn watching this; and complaining about going to work tomorrow… it’s really strange how Humans choose to live their lives… and where…🥲🥲🥲
I have traversed this land for 39 years of my life from 1980 till 2019. What a fascinating land and people, now things are different Roads are there and so called modernization ❤
this is such an impressive documentary! the visuals really capture the beauty and harshness of the zanskar river. but honestly, i can't help but question if this type of survival is sustainable long term. the risks seem incredibly high for the people involved. what do you all think?
I was thinking of going to Nepal or somewhere around that area in the next 2-3 years. Was planning to hire a guide or 2 for a hike. This would be nice hike to do.

Went to zanskar via Chadar or frozen zanskar river in 2019 and we sleep in same cave but one day we pitch out tent at a crossing which is 4 side open and I can’t explain how we survive that day 🙏🏻😞 We also climb mountain where Chadar was broken while returning .. That’s was one of the best and fearful experience 😶
They must be the toughest people on Earth! The mortality rate must be very high too. So brave and determined. Watching them climb the steep cliff is scary. 🏔
How hard the situation is but they still smiling that good they are very positive in life besides oh hard time. I wish there's products they sell the buyer pay enough.

They keep their balls extra hairy for insulation .
Through all their hardships, there is no shortage of smiling faces. Incredibly resourceful people.
