The reason why I bought another Rodeo is because there's so much more room in the cabin than the Xterra. The Xterra is clearly more reliable with a stronger transmission but the Rodeo to me is so much more comfortable in the cabin. Regardless I think I'm still going to have to get a second gen Xterra while they're not too expensive. I also hope the second gen is a little bit more spacious in the cabin than the first gen. Now if I could only get 17 to 20 MPG!
2020 and I got a 2005 Nissan Xterra manual bought it at 15,000 miles and now has 130k and running solid. Best things I like about it. V6, manual, rugged, plastic interior, and a very reliable engine probably will never sell it...NEVER.
Buyer beware: the 2005 model has a defect in the transmission that wears in about 90,000 miles. A rebuild or exchange can be done for around two-grand. Completely worth the money considering these can be bought for around 8k. My wife and i love ours
The Xterra was classified as compact SUV. It’s tall but has a compact footprint and a compact interior. The specs are equal to the Honda CRV and Toyota Rav4. Murano and Pathfinder are the Mid-sized offerings. Rogue was the X’s replacement.
@mudding365 Hell yea that would be nice. Maybe a Customer Appreiaction. Oh im sure you can. The weight and the size holds them back and the Xterras have thats locking diff, and great articulation. I have a 2005 Frontier CC/SB sadly its a 4x2 thats why i was looking at the xterra. I just have to say that Nissan have built a great Machine.
@05front if you could take them offroad in the test drive they would sell even more.... i can go thru more mud in my stock xterra then my buddy can in his f150 with tires leveling kits and dul xhuast...xterras may be the best stock offroad vehicle on todays market
I hear dthey aren't making anymore after 2011! :-( What a grievence for Nisssan, but hey, it's not like I can't get a realy good used one LOL I'm hoping for a 2006 at some point
Under 25k for a full frame suv with almost 300# of torque..... that was good even 15 years ago. 2005 is when Katrina hit and caused fuel prices to go from 1.30 to 4 bucks seemingly over night so maybe thats why I dont see more of these.
I like how he says that the side steps on the rear bumper will help you access the cargo bin on the roof. Maybe if you were the Slenderman. Otherwise... nope.
I own and STILL drive today a 05 Xterra, by far the best vechicle I've ever owned
Still driving 05 xterra 2wd 6sp! Will most likely get another second gen xterra while u can still find good ones
@@eminiscalperpro9729 05 X-TERRA one of the best looking mid size SUV ever.

Manual transmissions in trucks and suvs 🤢🤮😡☹️😭
its my 3 xterra and just bought the new 2015 pro-4x and stil love it!!
I love Nissan XTerra best SUV of Nissan after of Pathfinder
I bought an 07 Xterra S 2WD MT 8 months ago and I love the damn thing so much. I typically drive small JDM tuners but ive changed my tune.
Make sure you read up on the radiator so you don't have a transmission failure.
I love my 06 Off Road model! I put Firestone airbags on the rear axle, and now it hauls weight like a truck.
Just test drove a brand new pro 4X model. fell in love with it.
NIssan XTerra is comfortable and reliable
the engine on the 2005-present Nissan Xterra

4.0 L 265 hp (198 kW) V6
Very good and nice the Nissan X-Terra

Only on the automatic. The manuals don't have transmission coolers.
Luiz Diaz just do the bypass and you won't have that issue ever again
Thank God I have the manual version
You could also just avoid that by buying a new radiator
She will make you proud on ANY condition.
This car is legendary.
Nice try, Motorweek. The Xterra was always a midsize SUV. The Rouge is their compact crossover. They need to bring the Xterra back immediately.

@@80PercentAshamedOfU Size wise, the Xterra was a midsize SUV. It was priced as a compact at the time, but it was a midsize SUV all along.
Looking for a 2010. This video helped. How do you think it will work for a young family? Rear door latches too high up for a 2-5th grader?
May buy a nice 07.This was a great vid.Cant get to see them.:)

@bobdowd Dunno if you've bought your truck yet, but I have one of these and the handles may be a little tall for the kiddos.
