Cool to hear that Southwest is starting red-eye flights. They've actually been doing flights that are very similar to red-eyes already. I took Las Vegas to Indianapolis once which departed at 7 pm and arrived at 2 am.
The only question I have is "what took them so long"? I think it's a smart move and I'm all for it. But charging customers to pick their seat just isn't right. It's a scam in my opinion.
If Southwest is going to go away from low cost airlines and start offering red eye flights then and seat assignments upgrade to IFE in flight entertainment both seat back entertainment and audio, etc like what the one airline out of Florida was they merged with
First off, why anyone would fly Southworst confuses me. I lived in Texas and every time I flew them the flights were late, the gate and cabin crew were rude and it was just horrible. I flew Delta and Continental out of DAL and wouldn't fly WN if my life depended on it.
Southwest “Colorado One” Livery will be ordered soon on B737-800, but the Original B737-700 will have to repaint it back to the “Heart” Scheme. This will the replacement for “Colorado One” from the B737-700 to the B737-800 in the future.
Yes to assigned seating. No to paid for checked bags.

Keep bags fly free
I prefer red eye flights east and very early morning flights heading west.
Yeah, you and everyone else…
Doing that next month lol

Almost every airline does already.
Welcome aboard southwest airline flight 6942 to Honolulu
Herb’s Southwest is no more…kinda sad…
Actually, HK often said that change is imperative and being stagnant means being left behind…
Shareholders are starting to remind me of hedge fund companies. It’s like getting in bed with the mob.
glad they have assigned seats that’s definitely increase more flights to better routes

It’s about time
I assume the family loves Harry Potter.
Don’t like the changes. The over night flying yes but seating assignments nope. Another greedy shareholder group who are pushing companies.
Finally!! I’m tired of the fake wheelchair ppl who just want the best seats…
boeing finally to have night flight capability?
They're equipping the planes with candles......
FIRST!!1
This is nice! new night time flights..
Fr tho wish I could try it
