Once hot, add in the carrots and onion to saute for 3 minutes. Add in the mushrooms and celery and mix to combine and saute all for another few minutes. Next stir in the garlic for 30 seconds. * Add in the paprika, Italian herb seasonings, salt and pepper to taste and tomato paste and stir to coat all. Next add in the wine and broth and bring to a boil. Simmer covered for 20 minutes or until the carrots are tender. * Add in the tortellini and grated parmesan and boil for 5 minutes. Lastly stir in the heavy cream and kale - gently. * Optional: Top with freshly grated parmesan, a light drizzle of olive oil and enjoy!

I try to be as honest as possible about how certain food substitutes taste, and the Follow Your Heart brand of Parmesan shreds is a great substitute! I’ve also seen that they have the shaker powdery version too, but I haven’t tried that yet.

I made this and my family loved it, the only thing I would change is the softening of the vegetables. Mine were crunchy. Use a hand blender to make it creamier or sauté the veggies linger. The flavors were great though!

@@dememurphy7859 Idk if what I did made the big difference or not, but when my kids were babies, I fed them a lot of veggie baby foods. Like any other baby, they didn’t like it at first, but I would dip the veggie on their spoon into a fruit like tootie fruity or banana and within no time, it wasn’t necessary bcz they had grown accustomed to the veggies or maybe just decided they liked them after all, I can’t say for sure of course. But all of my kids went on to love vegetables as toddlers, kids, teens and now adults. They’ve always been perfectly happy to snack on raw veggies and fruits and have never been picky eaters. Again, idk for sure if it’s a result of their introduction to jarred baby food veggies, but I’ve never regretted doing that and have recommended it to many new Moms over the years. I realize your kids are too old to change their food preferences but maybe down the road, if you have grandchildren, it could be tried with them. Either way, I wish you the best, I can only imagine how frustrating that must be. ♥️

Hey! Good size plot!! I got mine about 3 years ago in a similar condition. I removed 3xtonne bags of carpet alone, not including plastic. I still have rubble filled containers from the last owner, behind my shed that are too heavy to move. The best advice I ever received (and didn’t listen to until til my second year) was ‘just try to enjoy it’. I have always had a vision of what I want it to look like and I want it that way now 😂 3 years later, it’s still a work in progress. Take your time, it’ll feel less like a chore.

Yeah heavy cream and cbeese with tortellini kinda undoes the vegetables. My husbands lactose intolerant so idk how to replace parmesan cheese.

The best advice I ever received (and didn’t listen to until til my second year) was ‘just try to enjoy it’. I have always had a vision of what I want it to look like and I want it that way now 😂 3 years later, it’s still a work in progress. Take your time, it’ll feel less like a chore.
