SAUSAGE TORTELLINI SOUP: Cozy Up to a Savory Bowl of This Soup & Immediately Feel Better

- I don't know if this Italtian Sausage Tortellini Soup has healing properties, but when I cozy up to a savory bowl of this soup, I immediately feel better. It's so delicious and it comes together so easily. Read on for the recipe.
Sausage Tortellini Soup
1lb. Italian hot or mild ground sausage
1/2 a white or yellow onion, chopped finely
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. oregano
1 small handful of fresh basil, chopped or 1 tsp. dried basil
salt & pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. flour
4 cups of stock (vegetable, chicken, or beef)
1 14oz. can tomato sauce
1 package frozen or fresh cheese tortellini
2 cups fresh baby spinach
1/2 cup of half & half
Heat a large pot on stovetop over medium high heat and add enough oil to coat bottom of the pan. When hot, add in Italian sausage and break it up as it cooks. Add in chopped onion and let it cook a few minutes until translucent.
Next, add in minced garlic, along with oregano, basil, salt & pepper. Mix well then add flour. Stir and let cook a couple of minute. Then pour in 4 cups of stock and can of tomato sauce. Mix again and let it come to a boil. Lower heat and let it simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Add in the tortellini (If using frozen, turn heat back up) and fresh baby spinach. Cook until tortellini is al dente and spinach is wilted. Finally, add in half & half, let cook a couple minutes more, then remove soup from burner and enjoy while hot.

Soup looks sooo good.The weather is very cold out here today so soup would be nice right now. I started feeling that cold that's going around on Christmas day and I've managed to keep it under control. Using the old remedies like hot tea, gargling with warm water and salt, applying Vicks everywhere, wearing a scarf at night to keep my throat covered. I used to tell you I would search for the easter eggs on your videos, but now I call it digging for the gold nuggets (except these nuggets I look for are MORE precious than silver or gold. They are nuggets of Truth and of our faith. The Bible says it well that our faith is more precious than even the value of gold. Now I will watch the visdeo, because I clicked on it because I have sausage in the fridge I need to use soon.
