The Buckethead Signature Les Pauls are my favorite modern era Gibson. They are a 27 inch scale length and have an oversized chambered mahogany body (1" wider) and they have just a magnificent tone to them. Once you've played on of these, all other LPs will feel like toys in comparison.
They have Gibson's 496R 500T ceramic pickups in them and there are two, red, arcade-style kill switches as well as a master volume and master tone. The tone pot functions as a coil split for single coils sounds as well.
If you want to master bucket head's tone, these are a must have as they are the exact guitars he uses on stage. Just add a Wah pedal and some delay and you've for the paint brush!

Can I ask where did you bought the Studio one?
I love how the kill switches look like they came straight off of an arcade game
They’re supposed to. They are called the arcade button Killswitch made famous by none other than Buckethead himself
TESI makes them
It's funny that you mention that the oversized body makes the longer scale feel normal. Because it also makes it look normal on screen. I would never notice the baritone scale if nobody told me. That is pretty cool. I could easily tell with black baritone model you demoed.
Wish they made an Epiphone variant..
I tried haha www.change.org/p/gibson-brands-inc-reissue-the-buckethead-model
Epiphone did make a baritone LP without the kill switches - not quite the same thing.
Seriously. Our dreams would have come true. Gibson one is crazy expensive
@@MarighnamaniMr - I was shocked at what the Gibson model goes for.
Not in a "overpriced / its a rip off!" kind of way. More like when you realize what a new Martin D45 goes for.
Great video!.Thanks!
@@Trog just signed it. 😃
This guitar sound amazing even in my crappy speakers

There's your answer
Thanks. OP hides that 10-second answer in a 10-minute video. Damn
I wondered why you were smaller in this video.
Pan Damasque I know right? That thing is massive
Hi this is Rick from pawn stars! I'll give you $250 because Im running a business and I need to make a profit.
But first lemme call in an expert
It's a pawn store
@@thedevilsadvocate5210 you right, but I like poking' fun at ol' rick I think if someone actually brought in a buckethead sig. he'd give about half of the current price its worth (thats not an insult thats actually how 99% of pawn shops work :)
@@geetarislife2843 hell no he will low ball lower then half. Plus his experts make something on the side to low ball for him
Anything less than doubling my money is getting robbed. *Offers customer 1/10th of the value of their item*
Good evening, Troglio!!!
That guitar it's a classic in your channel
Hola Dario!!!
@@metalmig Como estás???
Bien !!! babeandome con estas guitarras como siempre jajaja
@@metalmig Perfecto, saludos!!!
Now I know how Randy Rhoads must feel when he holds his Gibson les paul.
Lol, I wonder if buckethead was inspired by randy Rhoads though- with the white les Paul and use of a “kill switches”
@@tarjonio
His riff from Welcome to Bucketheadland is inspired by Crazy Train.
Dead?
He does seem to like randy, he even played the crazy train solo live
i love the classic sanwa style arcade buttons. nice touch.
I wish I could afford that buckethead signature it fits my tone so well and it's a amazing guitar
I can't find one that's even for sale. Would love to get my hands on one.
I wanted to buy one when it came out! The signature one was £3000 which was a tonne of money for an 18 year old
Love the bucket so kool to see it up close
Nice little shout to Buckethead Disciple, his channel is great. Definitely check him out.
Man you deserve more subs!
Fantastic video...love me some Buckethead...need that guitar!
I can get that killswitch effect by using an old crappy guitar cable.
Reminds me of all the great feedback I was able to get when I bought $4 pickups.
@@i.p.knightly149 4 dollars 😂 wtf
Does anyone know what tuning he plays in
You rocked that 🎸
Guitar looks huge
Really want one of these one day. Every night I pray for epiphone to make a reissue of those guitar.
N
O
That sounds wicked good
very cool jam
I really like that chord progression for the clean demo!
lol Mike seems to be getting into it .
Gorgeous guitar... But the one thing I think it needs is the binding along the neck, it just looks kind of like it's just missing something ya know? lol. I know Gibson does not usually put binding along the neck on studio's but they have on certain ones, my Sully Erna has it.
Applause ! Jo Shmo would rock this
I'm truely never going to get a buckethead les paul or sg. Its kinda sad but oh well i can look at them atleast. Hope you're having a great day

"WHO'S THIS GUITAR-PLAYIN SONSABITCH??
It's a question common asked.
On his head, a bucket of chicken bones.
On his face, a plastic mask.
Well, he's the bastard son of a preacher man.
On the town, he left a stain.
They made him live in the chicken house
To try and hide the shame.
He was born in a coop.
Raised in a cage.
Children fear him.
Critics rage!
He's half-alive.
He's half-dead.
Folks just call him
BUCKETHEAD!!!"
The song Buckethead from Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains is better though :)
Good Review
10:00 - " they start looking bad quickly " , LOL i laughed so hard :D:D:D
What was the amp you used in the beginning of the demo with the clean tone.. That sounded amazing!
Ever since I seen it I wanted it.
I prefer The studio Because it wont yellow over time and he uses them currently but it would be cool to see him use his true sigs again for the 2019 tour.
When will you review Brian May Red Special?
Those hum-buckets sound great
1:46 wow that transition was near perfect
Mike's Jam was pretty good!!¡!
That transition at 1:46 tho
Ikr
I wanted to buy one of these when it just had come out, i was about 17 at the time working my first job. I finally had saved up enough to buy this guitar after a year or two and they were completely out of stock, all of them for sale were for double what i had saved up. Now years later i have money and check the price, the price is huge
Do you buy it?
Is the neck also wider? I have trouble with certain open chords because my fingers are big.
@2:40 I wasn’t watching I actually thought that was Buckethead playing lol
Wish I had one of these I'm such a big fan of Buckethead and the arcade buttons are so kewl!
I think Mike dinged the back with his Gawdy (Goddy?).. necklace....i actually think i saw him smile as well..:)
String gauge? If this is 27" scale, wouldn't that make it needs a really light gauge to balance the tension?
Probably the most violent intro I have ever seen!
watch an Eric Andre intro
I installed one of this in all of my guitars. sanwa obsn-24
It really would be awesome to see a pic of one of these beside a normal sized lp and a Vixen/goddess
you can briefly see that in my collection video ua-cam.com/video/xmE_1BBl9kg/v-deo.html
here is an old video comparing to a regular LP ua-cam.com/video/8_bBod8IZWQ/v-deo.html
What's the diff. between the top button and the bottom button???
Man she's a whopper! I'd like to try one out.I bet you could really jam out on it.I dig it
Friends, I would like to buy a signature Les Paul by buckethead, is there any for sale? Thanks!
Love the all the bucket head les Paul’s! The longer scale is good for my fat hands!
can you get this guitar new? or can i get this same thing made through gibson custom shop?
It'd be really cool to see which guitars are actually in your personal arsenal (Ie, ones that you keep and have no intention of selling). It can sometimes be confusing when you talk about how much you've wanted a guitar and then you immediately sell it on haha
I like guitars on a history/provenance standpoint. My job is documenting guitars so I collect videos - not necessarily the guitars themselves. I never get time to just enjoy playing outside of the recorded demos so it doesn't make sense for me to keep any since I'm still paying for a house/supporting my family and always have access to at least 30 top quality guitar. There are definitely ones I wish I could keep, but it doesn't make sense for my situation at this time. Buy, Review, Sell. It's a never-ending cycle!
The Trogly's Guitar Show Hey thats fair man! Thanks for the killer content, even though I couldn’t hope to afford half the guitars you show on here it’s nice having something to drool over! Speaking of, it’d be awesome to see my all time dream guitar on here. Cherry sunburst E2 explorer. Ever had one?
Is the headstock glossed? Seems shinier than the body
Seems like it would be easy to counterfeit this guitar; the body carve doesn't look significant, lack of inlays on the headstock, plain white paint, no binding, no fret nibs. I wonder what are the features one could use to identify this guitar as a genuine Gibson.
It being an oversized Les Paul would be the thing that'd stump counterfeiters the most. I'd imagine it's not as easy as one would think. Though, you are right about the other features.
You know it’s harder to tell if an lp is fake if it has bindings around the neck
That's the funny thing. If you can't tell much (or any) difference in the way it sounds or plays or the quality of the build why pay $1,500 more?
Shaq could make this thing kook like a ukulele
It would be hilarious if you like, found some liquid that would glow under the black light and like, put it on you and didn't mention it.
You should do the black light more often
Anychance you could measure the arcade button I want to know if they're 24mm or 30mm?
I measure 26.4mm - but that includes the housing on the outside
@@Trog thanks man and yea that'll be a 24mm arcade button
Does the studio have the same pickups as the other model, and it also doesn’t have the binding does, I prefer it when you demo the guitars your self.
The electronics are identical. I will be posting a sound and spec comparison video very soon where I do the demo + I have demo'd many BH guitars in the past if you want other playing samples
People suck at explaining Buckethead❤
What size killswitches are those... anybody know?
Sold so fast
Can you do a Gary Moore signature one please ?
Cool
Buckethead is awesome man such style tone n sound check "soothsayer "sick ass piece an I'm only just going through his amazingly large body of work top guitarist an he looks cool playing like a boss 🤘🤘🤘
Would like to hear what your thoughts are on the string tension with that scale? Gauge of strings? I think Buckethead has modded his guitar with glow in the dark side dots now.
Buckethead is dead dude
@@darktempest53 no lmao
@@jamitiljander What? I swear he died last year. Must be experiencing the old Mandela effect lol
@@darktempest53 lmao
Mark ? Bro he’s going on tour this year
Why two kill switches though?
I've got one too. Bought new in 2011 if I remember correctly. I'm a huge Buckethead fan!
Bucket might be a workoholic
How heavy is the weight?
That's just a pretty guitar.
Hiyoo
I'd keep this guitar if I own it
A questão que quero saber, ela já era um modelo conhecido, ou, foi desenvolvida especificamente pra ele? Até porque, ele é meio gigante!
É signature dele
Really near 7k? I'm good.
8:06 - 8:18sounds like it would be on the March of the Slunks pike
man I just want to buy one to put on the wall lmao but they are expensive af
Why 2 Killswitchs tho?
The matt finish is nicer, I think.
Aye bruh wheres fender friday
On hiatus
The Trogly's Guitar Show alright 😑
Wish Gibson and epiphone would re realise Steve Jones Les Paul custom
Hell yeah
so both buttons are killswitches and both work in exactly same way?
yes
@@Trog ty
what is the song called at 4:00 minutes ?
It sounds so familiar and I can not nail it down I am dying for the answer
I realized it sounds so familiar because it reminds me of love bites by def Leppard but I’m not sure that’s what he’s doing
the way people hold this guitar is exactly how I looked with regular guitars.
How and where can I get a Bucket signature Les Paul?
They show up from time to time on eBay/Reverb. I have both a different studio and a signature for sale currently. troglyzeburninater@yahoo.com

Better just order a custom Kiesel that looks like it, you get SS frets too..
I really want this beauty but I'm seeing a listing price of $5000. So I guess it won't happen.
Bucket head is like 6’7 so it makes sense he wanted it a little bit bigger
I believe that bucket head was a student of Paul Gilbert
He was when they were teens
In homage u could have put a wight mask on or a bucket
Funny how it looks like a normal sized Les paul in bucketheads hands
Those faces omfg
Heads up! 10 of Buckethead's guitars were just stolen!
I hope you realize baritones have the longer scale length to make the tuning BEADF#B, not standard. it is not good if you tune it to standard especially since the strings are thicker.
There is nothing wrong with tuning to standard on a baritone guitar - you just use regular gauge strings.
¡Que pasa con las Gibson Buckethead! Hay algunos datos que deberías saber de las gibson buckethead... :v
Hi my names Graydon
Interesting guitar . Buckethead is a true original 👍
Jee i want a kill switch on one of my gibsons!!! -.-
great footage. you really can see how the guitar inspires the player. That´s how it should be.
Who is Buckethead ?? That would be Brian Patrick Carroll.
