Congratulations, Doug, your videos have inspired me to tackle pen restoration, and I have learned more from your mishaps and my own. I acquired a Parker Vacmatic in pear grey and messed up by using too much heat to remove the pump using my Inky Nib vac extractor. So I used the nib from that pen to restore a Parker Duovac Speedline in black which had a broken nib. I look forward to every Sunday's Pen Restoration.

Congrats on being a famous member of the community (17 k followers! Can't say you're anonymous anymore :P) I've always enjoyed bling on my pens, to the point of adding shiny/sparkly washi tape to my Pilot Kakuno and Mont Marte fountain pens to add the bling. Why I like it is harder to explain. It's like trying to express why you have a certain favourite colour or favourite food. The sparkliness gives a child-like quality that always makes me smile. Fountain pens make me smile. Both together is a joy. You can see why my favourite ink property is shimmer, right? Always enjoy your reviews. I look forward to your next milestone. Perhaps a custom pen like Figboot? (one day?)
That’s a great tip for getting a full fill on the vac fillers. Will need to try that out! Pretty pen with the sparkles. Would look great next to my TWSBI 580 Iris. . .

I wish there was an ink, that changes its colour depending on the angle you look at the sheet of paper. The cameleon. Like the cameleon paint on cars, that have been optically tuned. Oh, Doug, what a great achievement. Keep up! 👍

I was toying with the idea of buying this pen but ultimately decided to buy the Galen Leather collaboration pen which is a piston filler and also not quite as blingy. Great choice of ink, Jack Frost was the first ink that I bought for my husband and it looked good in the pen too. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will be successful in the draw!

I love the look of this pen, I am a complete fan of the Rainbow Wrasse fish which is a little piece of tropical lightening in the sea if your lucky enough to spot one ;O)

What a lovely pen! The Jack Frost is such a great ink, and matches the pen so well! This is actually the first blingy pen I’ve seen that has caught my eye- I found the shape of the TWSBI Iris uncomfortable and the Benu brand to be too much. The color of the clip is what really drew my eye. Congratulations on reaching 17k subscribers, that’s wonderful and I hope more people discover your channel. I love the opening music- “Over the Hills and Far Away” is such a banger- Houses of the Holy is a perennial favorite in my house. I like playing it while we drive through the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.

(It's in the style of your exclusive one.) Very tempted to buy it because it's sparkly without beeing so noisy.
