Really enjoyed this video mate. Also really heartwarming to hear about supporting your brother in the future. I don't think you should you apologise for talking about your personal life. We watch this video to hear about you as much as to watch the driving bits. Great video mate
What a lovely soul you are Luke your brother wife and children are so lucky to have such a wonderful man like yourself in there life take care buddy thanks for yet another great video ❤
It’s great to hear about your life outside of work as well as the driving Luke. I think it adds to the interest. Having seen your brother in the track day video, you can tell he looks up to his big brother. I thought that was a brilliant vlog. You one was of the drivers that got me driving about 3 years ago. Class 1 qualified ADR driver now. 🚛 Appreciate your hard work Luke! 😀👍🏻
Thank you Luke Enjoyed another of your videos. Nice to hear you talking and thinking about your family. And the future. Liked the way you got out the yard with all cars Parked all around you. No Problem. For a Top Driver ( Luke ). Well done to you. Thanks again Take care and Stay safe and safe Trucking.
I have my hgv medical on Tuesday! Can't wait, I've been sent my theory test training software, once my provisional comes back after the medical.. I will take an 8 day course. Can't wait to start. Thanks for the videos Luke!
Always good to hear about vloggers back stories imo, also fair play for looking after your brother, not all siblings are like that. I'm a sameday courier and have on occasion had to go for a wild crap, nothing unnatural about it, you must have better bowel control than most, I'm always careful where I step when in laybys having slash in the bushes.
Understand your comment on driver delay when getting a green light. I was taught years ago to start moving when the vehicle in front of the one directly in front of me started moving. Gets tricky nowadays because nobody leaves a safe gap between stopped vehicles.
Glad you're back Luke. I totally agree with you about drivers who take their time turning right. Its sod's law that when its my turn to turn right, the light changes as it did for you. Love your videos. Keep them coming
Might go for a walk. Evil chuckles. I used to live a mile or so from there, and regularly go past still, on my motorbike. I know some of the guys who work there. There is nothing nearby to walk to, but if you did go left out of the entrance, about half a mile and you have a fantastic view over the River Cam valley, with the town and church nestled down below. Probably get great views from a drone. Wifi, mobile and Internet is rubbish to non-existant in the whole town as it is a hollow with hills all around, and planning rules stop any masts (the whole town is effectively Grade 1 listed).
Totally agree with you about cyclists in the smoke but the e scooters are even more dangerous had one shoot around behind me when I reversing even the banksman was caught out. Great vlog as usual, you take care on those roads.
I'm working my way back through your videos! I used to work near the garden centre. Don't know why it's cool when you're driving in an area im familiar with. I'm studying for my licence, would love a video watch you attach the trailor and more on fixing different loads
Can I say mate, you should be super proud of yourself Luke! Uve a disabled bro and you talking about it isn’t boring. You work so hard for your family and everyone loves watching your videos. In my eyes your a proper family man. A guy that’s true to your words. Your an inspiration pal. Keep it up! By the way why double stack on back? Surely it’s best over 5th wheel

Hi Luke, never apologise for talking about your personal family life, it gives context to you and your vlogs. All the best in getting your house in the near future. 👍🇬🇧
I passed my test a few weeks ago and loving every minute of the job. Best thing I ever did and continuing the family tradition. Hopefully going from night driver to tramping soon but had a unplanned night out already.
@@mattmistry3178 Best advice I can give is take your time. When coupling and uncoupling, if you get interrupted start from scratch and double and triple check. With vehicle and trailer checks be though eg windscreen, mirrors etc. check your tires and if its less than one mil, worn or tread missing, report it to your office and don't take it out. Its your license and you have got to look after it. Last thing few things are if in doubt get out and check and don't be afraid to ask for help. Better to check than hit something. Make sure you get a sat nav that's got trailer heights etc. I can recommend the tomtom go expert pro 7 but treat it as a guide Google is your best friend for finding places and pinpoint them on your sat nav. Follow company rules and the law. If you get infringements which you will do make sure you do print offs and sign them with what happened. Final thing get a decent touch as you will need it for vehicle checks and finding places. I've not put everything in as there's alot but enjoy the experience.
May your God go with you 🙏, after now 48 years as an international driver and the owner driver and running a successful business I can tell you this game is finished..These bigger companies are destroying transport and zero respect for drivers, when I started in 1973 the job was better, drivers knew their way around a truck could do some repairs change wheels and thought for themselves..Trucks were totally different compared to today and when the driver left home base he was on his own , we managed just fine and while the traffic was a fifth of todays car drivers respected others unlike the ignorant *unts in cars today , deliver trying to cut trucks up or forcing them into defensive mode all the time..I wish you good luck but I really don’t think todays drivers will stick the job very long, I occasionally drive just to keep my hand in and it’s normally a top of the range Scania full air etc with every comfort available, usually a trip from Ireland to Holland and back simple 4 or 5 day run using the long boat from Ireland to France and back through Hook of Holland- Hull, very comfortable and so simple but out on the road I say why the fcuk did I bother doing this 🤦🏻♂️..
Thanx mate I think every new HGV driver needs every bit of luck they can get. I came into this industry knowing what to expect and I wont take a truck or trailer out on the road unless they pass a walk round check and the load is secure. I will agree the standard of driving on the roads is not great and is getting worse but I think some of that is down to a lack of education for drivers but also the culture we live in today. They dont know what is is like to drive a HGV let alone how much room we need nore all responsibility and prep work we have to deal with as drivers before we get on the road, then once we get on the road we dont only have to look after our selves but everyone else around us. I think one of the biggest problems on the road is a lack of curtesy for other road users, Things like no indicators anywhere especially on round abouts, tailgating which is dangerous, latest one ive seen is people merging onto multilane roads and dont put there foot down to match the speed of the traffic.
