A word for you, and also a place in Cambridgeshire. My mum used to say I was doing this. A lot. Don't get me wrong. It is fun to watch. Wittering. You wuz wittering, Luke. It is, partly, TBF, what makes this channel so good. I am sure all truck drivers are partly mad, talking to ourselves all day long, as we do (as I did). These days you have mobiles. We didn't, just the radio.
I’m a trucker from the north west of England but I do a lot of areas near where you do i do Ipswich , Norwich, Cambridge,Watford, Bedford and bishop st on a weekly night tramping
Hi Luke. Loving your last couple of videos. Very interesting insight to your daily work and me, being a newly qualified driver, it certainly helps watching your videos so thanks. Hopefully once I’m employed and on the road, I’ll say hi 👋👍
Luke when he says old people couldn’t reverse an arctic me be like my grandad worked as a truck driver in the 60s,70s,80s,90s and then went on to be a farmer and still drives trucks to this day but great video mate 👍💯
Thank you Luke. Great video Enjoyed You are a better man then me. You looked so so tired at the of this video Hopefully you got a good night rest It was one long Day. Well done to you. Thanks again. Take care and Stay safe and safe Trucking.
I don't know if you would call me elderly, but I am 75 and drove arctics all my life up until I was 69 and I do know how to reverse. You will know one day what it's like to miss lorry driving. Blind side is easy with a flatbed though.
I imagine you refer to as an elderly driver! Cheeky sod! Reversing is the easiest part of driving since everything is visible!!! However, that aside, I could watch you thread that wagon through a needle!. It's art in motion!!!
Great video! Quick question do you get paid from the time you get to the yard and then the hours sit around waiting to be dropped?? Or just the driving hours??
I get paid a daily rate of £150 regardless of hours worked or loads delivered. If o end up doing a night out then I get paid an additional £26 on top making a total of £176 a day.
Was just thinking that when he pulled up outside the site at 5:42 it had McArthy & Stone on the hoardings, which is retirement flats so his research beforehand wasn’t too far off 👍
Hi Luke. This is mental the hgv company i work for is based at harleston. Pronounced “harl(like Karl)-ston So mental to think I drive those roads every week lol.
blame the driver every time never fails ( as an ex hgv driver the cycleists and pedestrialns have to apply common sence when loitering around hgvs , remember one simple thing a 16ton truck will do more damage to you than you can do to it
Love ur work on the videos and u have been a massive inspiration to me and i am about start in the hgv industrie too also i am keeping an eye out for you u live down the road from me.. have a good week 😃
luke im not sure you read these coments or not but if you do please stop drinking energy drinks . my son whos 28 was drinking 2 aday he ended being rushed into hospital with a hart rate threw the roof (195) he was in hospital for a week and the staff said it was the energy drink and there seeing it more and more
Not good mate. I'm guilty of drinking them now and again myself. It's more the sugar than the caffeine I think. I worked with a guy and no lie he would drink 10 cans of monster some days.
I came here to say something similar. Alongside a poor lifestyle (long hours, junk food, smoker and a drinker) I was 3-4 energy drinks per day. Aged 25 I was sent to hospital by my practice nurse - went for something totally unrelated - she’s seen something she didn’t like and it turned out i was in the middle of an acute myocardial infarction. In layman’s terms that’s a heart attack. After a few tests and reviews etc the cardiologist brought up lifestyle and asked about drugs, which I’ve only ever smoked cannabis a few times. She suggested that my heart displayed evidence similar to cocaine and amphetamine use and could only put it down to my overbearing use of energy drinks. I’m now on a lifetime of medication to help me overcome the damage made to my heart.
With regard to your first site drop and the air bags H&S has gone made which is no bad thing mind. Out of interest did you have to be inducted on to the site before entering 🤔
@@lukecinahgv That's really interesting and surprising as all the sits I've worked everyone has been indicted regardless of who you are. I've had to be indicted when I've attended meetings on sites before now. Would be interesting to know what the HSE views are on this as drives are at risk the same as everyone else walking around 🤔
Yep honestly. Never been inducted on any of the many sites I’ve delivered too across the whole of the uk. If drivers had to be inducted at each site, one of two things would happen. 1) the delivery fee is increased to account for the loss of time that will eventually happen. 2) delivery’s wouldn’t be made as hauliers would refuse to deliver and so sites would have to get their product there by their own employees and not 3rd parties. Which would be more expensive for them .
I still have it, there’s one more video to come out with old truck and then the rest will be the new truck. The only reason my last Friday was the new truck was because I wanted to get it out on that weekend.
What A Difference in a Well Organised Site 2 Forklifts WoW !!!! Excellent 7 Minutes Hopefully the other Site is Watching this video, After watching this, Stupid in not the Word 😡

Glad you added that not all elderly drivers are bad, I’ve been driving for 40 years now and do not yet regard myself as a danger to others. 😂👍
Well said! I've been driving 54 years, and still have a clean licence, high mileages too.
And here I thought we had 2hr video today 😅
I also saw that before

UA-cam playing up.
I'm pretty sure that's meant to say "blank screen". And his name is Luke, not Luck.
Thank you Luke. Great video Enjoyed You are a better man then me. You looked so so tired at the of this video Hopefully you got a good night rest It was one long Day. Well done to you. Thanks again. Take care and Stay safe and safe Trucking.

The M&S you were looking for was Mcarthey and Stone
Was just thinking that when he pulled up outside the site at 5:42 it had McArthy & Stone on the hoardings, which is retirement flats so his research beforehand wasn’t too far off 👍
Great video luke keep it up
Did the crane delivery take hours yeah?
Yo Scott love your vids especially the v8 what a beast
Another good video Luke.
How do you cope with the brutally early starts?

Ya screwed up Luke 1 hour and 25 minutes of blank black screen , at the video, im gonna leave it run to the end in case you're messing with us 🙂🤣🤣
Thought the last 1 hour and 25 minutes was during the night when the gypos came back & burnt out another one of there old caravans.
I've bene sat watching a black screen for over an hour now waiting for an ester egg lol
Love the vidss👍🏾👍🏾
@ 18:07 it looked as though that guy was under that suspended load. Not good. Might just be the camera angle though
Tight old bit of reversing into that building site. Quite often the case on building site. An amazing tip there in 7 minutes.
When I seen it was 2hrs I thought you'd been getting tips from Jenko lol
That's one of our cranes
They are usually quite quick to tip
Should go well then withdrawing the reversing element from the HGV test then. I mean anyone can reverse a truck like that can't they Luke?
I couldn’t when I first passed. I’d say new passes would do less reversing
@@lukecinahgv Gonna have problems with loading bays which is ironic as the measure was a result of the push to get more delivery drivers.
Definitely getting more grey in your beard Luke 😂😂
That was just on this one job
Love ur work on the videos and u have been a massive inspiration to me and i am about start in the hgv industrie too also i am keeping an eye out for you u live down the road from me.. have a good week 😃
Did it take an unusually long time to upload this vid?
have you checked haw many bus drivers and lorry drivers are getting on in age at this time ?
First half hour was good. Next hour and a half was a bit boring though. 🤣🤣
😂😂
And now there's a linch mob of elderly drivers waiting for Luke back in the yard, canes in hand ready to thank him for his comments 🤣
My thought as well, does he think, that just because we're retired, we have forgotten how to reverse a wagon.
enjoyed the video chap
If you don’t get to deliver it, not your problem. You’re not paid to deal with stuff like that
Employers never see it like that. They expect miracles.

You don’t work weekends then Luke?
Are you saying elderly or audi drivers?... From my experience they both a pain in the arse 😂
I'm not risking going over a 15 just to get a delivery off. Forget that 🤷♂️😆
good vid on the channel luke like you vid you do on channel thanks lee
I thought you had been given a new lorry the all white one we seen in the London video
With regard to your first site drop and the air bags H&S has gone made which is no bad thing mind. Out of interest did you have to be inducted on to the site before entering 🤔
No. As drivers were never inducted.

33 mins of footage out of 2 hour video....
Yeah, UA-cams messed up. It’s only supposed to be 34 minutes long.
@@lukecinahgv you can trim it in the youtube studio utilities
