a friend came home after serving in desert storm. he worked with muslims. i asked if they required different food and he said after 2 weeks in the field eating MREs no one cared what was on their plate. no questions asked. he also told me pows (enemy) were interrogated with the hide of a pig hanging within eyesight and the threat that they would wear it if they did not talk. they talked.

When I was a teenager, I went to the West Coast and a Muslim family came into the restaurant and wanted clam chowder. The waitress informed them that the clam chowder had bacon in it. Well, Catholics can’t have meat on Fridays, so it’d be no different having your own rules of what you can or can’t eat same could be said about orthodox Judaism, where they do not eat pork they do not eat camel they do not eat rabbit they could only eat the animal that has a hoof and chews the cuts
But even so Muslims have rivals with Catholics for centuries, they are super confident that they are without a doubt in every way shape, absolute true religion, especially when it comes to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Catholics same thing are just as confident in the they are the absolute true religion and the heart of the Christian faith.
But even so, Muslims are on the side of the claim that Catholicism is responsible for changing the Bible, as well as not truly a God-fearing religion, but rather just an excuse, not to get rid of all the pagan practices.

There has to be different degrees of being Muslim just like in any other religion. I spent 3 months in Malaysia and loved it, but went out to the bar 3 or 4 nights a week with my Muslim friends. I am a special occasian 1 drink person. I lived under the same roof as my Muslim GF at the time and was warned several times to be careful doing so and that being a tourist would not be a toleratedexcuse if i were caught. Never worried while in Kuala Lumpur but traveling and staying outside of Capitol we had to stay in prominently Chinese neighborhoods. We ate everything with out checking ingredients. I stayed in ipoh Perak for a month and the sultans son is transgender. I am not making this comment to offend or degrade the Muslim religion. Sharing my experience from 2007 January - March. Being the first time i traveled out of the USA i was shocked to see that the rich acted half Mulslim and the everyday person was help to a higher standard by the Malaysian government. I love the Malaysian people and Indian, Chinese and Malay melting pot that makes the country.

Are used to love filet mignon but then I learned that we are not allowed to eat that because when Jacob wrestled with the angel, that is where the angel grabbed him the portion of the cow that coincides with where the angel grabbed Jacob when they were wrestling is where the filet mignon is located, I also used to love swordfish, until I learned that it was not kosher, so no more swordfish. And I learned my lesson with lobster because I break out with water blisters all over my chest and back, especially with the West Coast lobster, it is full of iodine, I guess my DNA is allergic to it, but I don’t miss it at all.

Honestly that was the best time, I could go to any restaurant with no doubt of being halal, I could walk out at night (except I will need some family member because I was minor) and no one will harm you. And most importantly the most lovely peopl I have ever met were in Saudi Arabia, the Arabs❤️

I lived my entire life in a Muslim country but being mixed with a non religious family I've never had any diet restrictions so I've never really asked myself what my friends could or not eat until I went to Canada (a few of my childhood friends went there too so we've been meeting often to eat and hangout) and noticed that they couldn't eat a lot of food that we've been eating when we were kids! I was mindblown even though it's so logical! Everything's is hallal in my country that's why they could eat everything!
