I have a Muslim friend who asked me if I ever fasted or practiced Ramadan. I said sure, all the time when I was kid, but we didn't call it fasting or Ramadan. We called it poverty. He laughed.
a friend came home after serving in desert storm. he worked with muslims. i asked if they required different food and he said after 2 weeks in the field eating MREs no one cared what was on their plate. no questions asked. he also told me pows (enemy) were interrogated with the hide of a pig hanging within eyesight and the threat that they would wear it if they did not talk. they talked.

When I was a teenager, I went to the West Coast and a Muslim family came into the restaurant and wanted clam chowder. The waitress informed them that the clam chowder had bacon in it. The family didn't get the chowder. Watching that interaction is how I learned Muslims can't have pork and I was impressed with the waitress for being so thoughtful.

Well, Catholics can’t have meat on Fridays, so it’d be no different having your own rules of what you can or can’t eat same could be said about orthodox Judaism, where they do not eat pork they do not eat camel they do not eat rabbit they could only eat the animal that has a hoof and chews the cuts
But even so Muslims have rivals with Catholics for centuries, they are super confident that they are without a doubt in every way shape, absolute true religion, especially when it comes to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Catholics same thing are just as confident in the they are the absolute true religion and the heart of the Christian faith.
But even so, Muslims are on the side of the claim that Catholicism is responsible for changing the Bible, as well as not truly a God-fearing religion, but rather just an excuse, not to get rid of all the pagan practices.

I retired from a bakery after 30+ years. We had a mixing bowl that was blessed by a Rabbi that we used for certain breads, etc. I caught someone mixing hamburger in it for meatballs and nearly hit the ceiling! It shouldn’t have been used again (to my knowledge) until it was blessed again. My Boss said “oh it’s fine. You’re overreacting.” What I am getting at is be careful who you trust with your food. I’m just wondering because a lot of Italian cooking is based on deglazing the pan with wine, so I am wondering for when I cook for my Muslim friends if I can use alcohol and cook it off thoroughly. Thank you so much!
No judgement here. If my parents raised me in a faith that kept me from eating certain foods, I would have changed as soon as I became an adult. Luckily, they are Catholics, the type that goes to church never
To each their own , I love pork thats something in Puerto Rico thats every where....
Pov: You are in Indonesia where literally everything is halal but if you are in Bali be careful because many restaurants have non-halal food menus
Yes, i agree with this, and i know that, thanks for tell another Muslim

It’s not what comes into you that defiles you; what defiles you is what comes out of you. ~ A wise man that lived around 2,000 years ago
Last one isn’t true for all Muslims. Being halal is different than zebihah. Zebihah is when the meat is slaughtered in the name of Allah, which is what they mean when they are referring to meat at fast food places that Muslims are allowed to eat at. Halal just means what is allowed. So not everything that is halal is zebihah, but everything that is zebihah is halal.
i am a christian but i like to learn about islam and the similarities and differences to christianity. some christians don't drink alcohol as well
Yeah same I think as a Christian it’s important to learn about other religions because when you’re sharing your faith you need to be respectful of other peoples beliefs and opinions and knowing about other religions is very interesting a lot of people think Christian’s shouldn’t learn about other religions and what not but I think it’s important to understand where other people are coming from when sharing your faith
my grandpa on my moms side of the family and my grandma on my dads side of the family both drank, and there are christians.
@@Sylvillian omfg certain Christians can't, and certain can.
@@davedavid467 I think its completely up to the person wether or not to learn about other cultures. If you dont want to, you dont have to but should respect their beliefs. But the same goes for people who arent Christians, they should respect us too.
@@fffirewolf3959 yeah I agree with that

You can actually eat what ever you want to eat...unless youre allergic...even then as long as you have an epi pen youre good to go.
Most important is what's coming out from your mouth, what's coming in is secondary.
I was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I was there till I was 13 .... Honestly that was the best time, I could go to any restaurant with no doubt of being halal, I could walk out at night (except I will need some family member because I was minor) and no one will harm you. And most importantly the most lovely peopl I have ever met were in Saudi Arabia, the Arabs❤️
I’m so grateful for what you wrote, you’re very kind and sweet. I hope you have a wonderful life ♥️
So everything that is haram it’s for our own good like smoking drinking and others
I like beer with 0.0% alcohol
ppl are sometimes chocked that we fast all Ramadan or don’t eat pork or drink but it’s for ou own good as I said
So alhamdoulillah
subhan allah
Btw, just a heads up, beer with 0℅ still has alcohol in it, im not sure where I read this but yeah. Just don't drink it at all, wouldn't hurt if u didn't.
@@Charlie59876 no, it would've been seen on the ingredients list, I've never heard anyone say this, idk where u got that info. Just double check ur info so u don't spread miss information
I prefer beer with the highest alcohol levels

Christianity is the way, the Truth will the life😊
I grew up with a kid that couldn't watch TV until noon on Saturdays, exactly when the Saturday morning cartoons end. He was more likely to be able to spend the night on Saturday nights which was different for the Dutch Christian reform area. Anyway weird how organized religion separates humans.
I’m from Thailand and my village surrounded by Muslim Villages and we all sharing communities and be part as a neighborhood❤️ I learned a lot about Muslim from you guys🙏 Thx 🥰

You said pork .cannot be eaten YAK. What about consuming human flesh, YAK. If the flight you are in crashes on mount Everest, and there is no food left, the syara says that you can consume human flesh as not to die. You can say YAK.
The niqabis are great on YT
Alhamdulillah
can you help me please
Can you eat a 9yo child? The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches that it's OK to do whatever you want with a child but you can't drink alcohol.
I’m also Muslim and I know these ingredients I cannot have
For Jews.... Food has to be "Kosher"
For Muslims... Food has to be "Halal"
For Christians... Food has to be TASTY
I died 😂😂😭😭💔
that’s kind of true kind of not. God has us make different sacrifices because we are different, so for example if i loveee coffee and i’ve been praying to find a new job, i would sacrifice drinking coffee for as long as i can. people set different days and different things, this is just an example. it’s not going to guarantee that you’ll get a job, but it’s showing God your willingness to sacrifice the materialistic things. At least that’s what we learn in brazil, it’s a fast, except you’re giving up what you love most. it’s doesn’t have to be food, it can be anything that takes up too much time and space in your day
For Hindus too food should be tasty
Islam the best
Amen
I really want to eat cake in korea but from the information that i got, most cakes here are added with rum or any other similar alcohol, so those who are gonna travel or studying in korea, you are gonna drooling seeing all these fancy looking desserts 🤤
Don’t eat it.
@@ariesshine1857 I live in Europe and here the cakes are AMAZING. U need to try out. I know that bcs before we knew they weren‘t halal I ate them... oops :D I was just a child. Anyways I can‘t eat them but we found organic bakerys that dont put gelatine/ alcohol or cook with alcohol, pork. I was soo happy. Can you guys teach more about fasting I am a Christian and love to learn about other cultures and religions!
Also I love you guys!!!!🥰
We fast in ramdan for 30 days, it is the best month to us, we love it so much and we can also it is a choice if we wanna to fast 2 days every week
Dear Muslims have to fast 30 days in a year during Ramadan because its good for our body and good for our soul to we feel the hunger and thirst so we thank god for giving us this much .
I'm not Muslim but I think around 6 in the morning it went he fast starts, then throughout the whole day you cannot eat or drink unless it's an emergency. When it is around afternoon you are allowed to eat and you repeat that for a month... Correct me if I said anything wrong that's just what I remember!
@@leviticus3000 We stop eating at the time of dawn and then break our fast at the time of Maghrib. Fasting hours are different in each country
I had to fast today
I'm not Muslim but I check ingredients on everything I eat as well. My body doesn't tolerate certain ingredients...high fructose corn syrup, carrageenan, any added phosphates. Makes eating out very difficult if not impossible. You guys are awesome. I love your videos. I wish you all the best 💗
I had a neighbor that was Muslim. During his Ramadan fast he'd get up at
4:00am and pig out until the sun came up.
Being too rigid about eating something or not and then generalising it for all Muslims or any other religion is not something that should be promoted in this day and age.
Food is nourishment for your body and soul
No matter your religion or beliefs
Your body only cares about nourishment
Another question my friends usually ask me is “if ur not allowed alcohol, then can u use hand sanitizer or products containing alcohol?” Well what my mom tells me is that we ARE allowed alcohol products on our SKIN not like swollowing alchohol. Hope it helps if anyone was confused too
Also it’s different alcohol, generally in hand sanitizer. I do
Not drink alcohol but do use sanitizer
Yes because it’s beneficial and it heals the skin if you got a scar for example but when drinking it, it messes with your brain and your stomach, which is a no for us.
@@stinkschwein2279 no as i explained it’s if you swallow
@@stinkschwein2279 We can use the alcohol for health purpose, the pure one that doesn't meant to be "intoxicating". The example of the intoxicating alcohol = wine, beer, etc. It's deliberately have the purpose for the consumer who consume will be "drunk". Unlike alcohol in mouthwash, it's just for sanitazing, and never meant to be have that "drunk" effect when people use it. Maybe you can try to understand from my reply before this. Sorry I'm not fluent in English, but hope you understand :)
Can you use vanilla extract? It has alcohol in it and is consumed.
"-people think we can't have something like caffeine related-"

Haha i think people mix up Mormons with Muslims for the no caffeine. Both no alcohol though.

The caffeine thing is probably people confusing muslin rules and morman rules.
Restricting what you do in life based on ANY imaginary friend is insanity. This comes from someone born Jewish that went to a Jewish school where kosher was required. I’m glad the indoctrination didn’t work on me.
