I feel the same. I get that I go to a Catholic school but once when I asked why we don’t learn about other religions and the response I got was “why would we. It’s not our religion” Like um why would we? Maybe so we don’t grow up to be uneducated about different people’s beliefs🤷♀️
Grace Dicken that’s just wrong coming from your school. I attended catholic school and we would mostly study christianism, but we would also study other religions to better understand what religion represents in the modern world.

A classmate of mine said she still had to wear hers around her uncle (and sometimes her brothers, I didn’t really get that either) as according to her customs he could technically be an eligible partner altho she also assured me that her and her family don’t even think to consider that a possibility, could this be a cultural thing for different Muslims in different areas? (Her family is from Egypt but she has dual citizenship with the Netherlands, which is where I’m from)

Can anyone else agree Indian Muslims are usually not religious and this can become a problem if you're a child living with my your parents that wants to wear a hijab, and all the relatives will call you religious are make fun of you and call you an elderly woman even though you don't look like one. And for family gatherings the parents will pressure you to not come with a hijab what to do then?

For a naturist, clothes are not important, but in your culture, you consider your genitals are private parts....that's why you have them covered.....likewise, hijabs/niqabs are not important to you, but in Islamic culture they consider women's head/or just hair a private part....that's why they have them covered. If you ask a Muslim girl who wears a hijab/niqab about how her hair/face is inside the hijab/niqab , then you can even ask a girl from popular culture about how her body is inside her clothes, which you probably wouldn't do.
