The best time to cruise is when school is in. It’s less crowded and less kids. Pre Covid when our kids were all younger we would take two cruises a year. One with kids and one without. It was wonderful. We have amazing memories. Two of of three kids are adults now and so the way we cruise has changed. Enjoy the time with your kids.
I’m so glad you had a good experience while visiting my hometown of Sitka on your cruise. I grew up here and I’ve lived here many years. I’ve always thought it is the most beautiful place in the world.
‘I want $500!’ Way to teach Jamesy young! She’s going to go far in life! I’ve only ever been on RC cruises and I’ve always loved them! This ship is my next big goal in life and now I’m even more excited to make it happen after seeing this!
Alaska is my favorite state! I lived in Anchorage for 5 years in the early 1970’s. You could drive 15 minutes out of town and be in places you’d swear no one had ever been there before. Beautiful place to live!
Love you guys! Y'all are great parents and the vlogs are so wonderful. I love seeing the kids grow and become more and more independent. I only wish you'd vlog more often like you used to.
Alaska cruises are the best - I call them my Luxury Cottage on The Lake vacations - balcony door is open the whole time, no bugs, and all the water sports, adventures and fantastic food! 😂💜 As always, thanks for sharing Dashleys!! 💜💜
Great video ! I like the specific info comparing Disney kids club and RC kids club . As a mom we do notice when kids like structure or free play - and this is useful to know !!!
Aww I miss the Quantum of the Seas. I went on it to from the Port of Brisbane Queensland Australia to the South Pacific Islands for 9 days. It was bliss! The staff were amazing, especially the dining staff.
You guys look like you had a wonderful time. We went in early June last year, it rained the entire time and was our worst cruise to date. My 2 and 3 year got sick. I hope we can go back again one day when they are older and told to go in July or August. It was $10k down the drain by the time we paid for airfare, balcony cabin and cancelled excursions. We love RC but it was a learning lesson for sure.
I was born and raised in Sitka and you guys were very lucky, It’s normally raining. we don’t get a lot of snow in southeast Alaska but the further north you get the more snow and the colder it is.
Just got off NCL Encore a couple of weeks ago. I know what you mean about videos and pictures. There is absolutely no way you can capture what you see. I am already planning another on. No words. Loved it!
As a travel agent….please get passports! If you ever are on a cruise that goes to other countries and u miss the ship or get sick/hurt there. The passport will be extremely helpful to get back home or to a different port to meet up with your cruise ship. Glad y’all had an amazing time! I will be on the Disney wonder for 8 days on an Alaskan cruise in September. 😊
@@Tbaby9361 As far as I know for Alaskan cruises out of Seattle you should be fine with just birth certificates. However, each cruise line has their own set of rules regarding passports. So I would definitely check with whatever cruise line you’re sailing with.
We're going on a Disney cruise to Alaska, out of Vancouver in June...do you know if we'll be okay using a birth certificate for a 2-year-old? I just think it sounds crazy to get a passport for such a young child, but EVERY article I read says something different. Update: I found out he definitely needed a passport, so we did an expedited one thinking it could take 4-6wks & it literally came in a week & a half. I'm very happy we got it taken care of in plenty of time. Whew!
This was so helpful. We have a 6 year old and twin 4 year olds and just did our first Disney Cruise (The Wish). I feel exactly the same as you guys. We found ourselves saying why did we even come too, because it's really hard yet still so fun and worth it. That was very well put. We didn't feel guilty leaving them at the kids club either. We are now planning the RC Alaska cruise on Quantum.
Like you Ashley, I loved my Alaska cruise and want to go back. I have not been on any warmer cruises but it is something about Alaska that makes you want to come back.
Alaska was our 1st cruise and we decided it is our last....Loved it So Much and Nothing will be able to top it!... You are right, video doesn't do it justice!...Glad you Enjoyed!
I took a train from NC to Seattle to cruise to Alaska. Stayed in Seattle for three days before the cruise. The cruise coming back from the excursion before mine hit an iceberg! My cruise was cancelled. I paid all that money on Amtrak just to get to Seattle and loose my cruise. I will try again next summer.
My favorite thing I’ve heard is to not call it a vacation and instead a family trip since traveling with kids is work and I love that perspective. Also not sure if you’ve heard of the bumkins smock for violet similar to a bib but long sleeve and goes over clothes and they have it in Disney! We take it everywhere for our 18 month old.
We are going next year and trying to decide between this ship and Ovation !! They both look very similar, one might have bumper cars ! We are going with four adults and four kids all under age 11.
When I lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland we had a nesting pair of Bald Eagles in one of our trees by the dock. They are amazing birds. I have the I’m Smiling shirt from the Raptor Center I bought it directly from their online store. 🙂🌈🐈🐈⬛💖
Friends of mine recently came back from an Alaskan Cruise. I wonder if they were on your cruise. I keep watching the people in the background for them. 😂
if you do your excursion with the cruise ship its down to them to get you back on time for Saling if you book independently its down to you to be back on time all on the insurance I've done disney kids club and they had loads of planned activities I think it depends on the session or ship but your right they are both fab xx
Stumbled into your channel while researching Alaska cruises. You mentioned you didn't have passports and said that wasn't a problem....right? My wife always thought you needed one cause u go through Canada and I always told her "I don't think you need one". We are planning to fly to Seattle and take the Alaska cruise. Thanks
Pizza looked delicious . I also have a pizza stone and was so happy when you said put the pan right on top to cook . I cooked mine right on stone no pan , so I'm assuming I am wrong and happy to finally know how to cook on pizza stone . Lol, 😂, true story , don't tell me that your not sure if it right or not . Lol
The commentary and the editing for this vlog is 25/10!!
When you said you guys are basically alaskan, I am alaskan.. and that made me laugh. I hope you guys enjoyed it. Much love ❤
One of the biggest and most important reasons to bring your kids on a cruise, or any vacation for that matter, is making lasting memories.♥️

How awesome! I always tell everyone you should visit Alaska at least twice in your life, once in the winter and once in the summer!
I love the voiceover! You’re way too funny Dalin

This was a great video even though my kids are older. Great info for younger families. Love you guys
I am glad you are real- call them what you may. I think you had a good time and beat the heat! 💕
On my bucket list for sure… I have never been on a cruise and always wanted to. Alaska cruise for sure!
Just got off NCL Encore a couple of weeks ago. I know what you mean about videos and pictures. There is absolutely no way you can capture what you see. I am already planning another on. No words. Loved it!
Feels like I just watched the same episode with Sheena Melwani's family but they took the Princess ship!! So awesome! Glad you had a good time!
Your making some amazing memories with your kids! That in its self is priceless! 🤎
My husbands family is from Ketchikan!!😢❤ I’m so glad you all got to see it!

Is a passport necessary for an Alaska cruise if u are cruising out of Seattle and you are a US citizen? passports have a huge wait time right now

So happy you guys had a awesome time❤❤
My husband and I were on an Alaskan cruise the end of April. We were on the NCL, Bliss. It was cold, rainy, and snowy.

George saying don’t let Violet trip is absolute big brother goals ♥️
Like you Ashley, I loved my Alaska cruise and want to go back. I have not been on any warmer cruises but it is something about Alaska that makes you want to come back.
The smaller ships are definitely less crowded, with still the same amenities, like the kids club. Alaska is beautiful!!! Good for you for going.
Alaska was our 1st cruise and we decided it is our last....Loved it So Much and Nothing will be able to top it!... You are right, video doesn't do it justice!...Glad you Enjoyed!
Are the pools heated? For kids and adults?
So beautiful! Thanks for sharing your vacation. Great that you brought your whole family. It is great
I live in sitka alaska and I would have liked if I would have seen you guys when you were there.
Loved your video 😊 Just booked another cruise, this time on the Quantum. May I ask what deck you stayed on.?
Cruise looked like a lot of fun and beautiful sites. I’ve always wanted to go on the Alaskan cruise. Love the fam. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I went to Sitca when I went to Alaska also on a Royal Caribbean cruise and it was the best.
Can you please tell me the dates you went as the weather looks great!
Yes Ashley Alaska is special!!! ❤
When I lived on the Eastern Shore of Maryland we had a nesting pair of Bald Eagles in one of our trees by the dock. They are amazing birds. I have the I’m Smiling shirt from the Raptor Center I bought it directly from their online store. 🙂🌈🐈🐈⬛💖
Summer in SE AK was unusually sunny & warm. Tourists are lucky! P.S. - the best place to see eagles and bears are the landfills 👍🏼
Friends of mine recently came back from an Alaskan Cruise. I wonder if they were on your cruise. I keep watching the people in the background for them. 😂
Did you like RC or Disney CL better for the kids?
This is my first time watching your channel. You guys are hilarious! I just had surgery & trying not to laugh is tough.
No passports. Did you get off the ship in Canada? Dallin has been to Whistler - confused.
Hey 👋 The Dashlyes family 😂 I watch your videos first time 😊❤

Taking the stairs on a cruise ship like that? Madness! :D
I'm taking 5 kids in June...I'm also bringing my mom and we are hoping for the best!
Commented a few times, and i’m disappointed I wish you would have walked around Juneau more. That’s where I was born!! ❤
What dates did y’all go? We cruise on the ovation of the seas 9/8.
So much fun! The sweetest family 💕
You are so kind
Sommers in Alaska, Violett vlogs, this Alaska life and many others are great channels.
This video was adorable guys really fun .❤
James hair is so beautiful with all the clips. Have an absolutely marvelous Cruise. Sending the good weather winds to Alaska.
Disposable bibs are the best for cruising (and any vacation without laundry)!
Awesome video and thanks for the information
Born in Alaska with moose in the back yard
Alaska and Hawaii are the most beautiful states to me
Thank you for sharing
I love Dalin’s old man commentary.
You Book of Mormon musical jokes always get me 😂
Taking this cruise in 2 weeks with our 7 month old!
What an amazing trip 🙏 love you guys 😁❤️🌴✨

Juneau: that isn't the main town. Its a few miles to the left.
I went on this exact cruise last summer and it was so fun!!!!
Yup us older folks take longer to get ready , be glad they are still with you .
We’re taking an 16 month old and 4 year old next year. I’ve been looking forward to watching this video. How does daycare work for the little one?
0-2 costs $6 an hour, 3 and older clubs are free. Club is open from 9-12, 2-5, and 7-10. Drop them off anytime!
0-2 requires a reservation
Thank you! Been watching you guys for a while! Love the vids!
So was it worth it for them or not really since they did not do a whole lot to experience it fully . But that is a big ship .
I’d say it was right on the edge of being worth it haha. We had fun.
LOL George parenting hall “don’t let her trip” 😂
I was on the same cruise with the dashleys!!
You should try the Disney cruise ship. The kids will love it.
Lol
A Cruse to Alaska is always worth it. Especially on Royal Caribbean great Cruse line.
Y’all are freakin hilarious in like 1000 ways 😂😂😂
Vacationing anywhere with little ones is definitely kind of difficult. But you will look back on it one day and miss it. We do 😏
My daughter is in Seattle to watch the Seahawks play .
Cruising is Always worth it… best vacation EVER!!! I’d do it more than once a year if I could find someone to go with !!!
Next time you should visit the Somers family in North Pole Alaska.
Do you watch their UA-cam channel Somers in Alaska?
Looks like Heaven!!❤❤
What month did you go
End of July/beginning of August!
We live here in Washington state. Have fun.
Wow !! So much fun ❤
As long as you direct your feelings toward me were good 🤣 LMAO
My husband & myself have never been on a cruise. My husband has claustrophobia, so I don’t think he would do well.
Thanks for the video, I liked the overdub voice. 🤣
An Alaskan cruise is on my bucket list!! Looks like you guys had a great time!
I just love James’ hairdos
Haha Pels has the best dumplings! Definitely a good choice for a juneau day
