    Any idea if a 2014 Jeep Jk has this part? I changed out my clockspring and now I've got a stability control idiot light on. Steering wheel is straight. Lined up the 2 dots.... Light was not on prior to changing the clockspring.

      First step Robert is to scan all the modules to see what codes are present......it could be a different issue. You need a scanner that can access all the modules....not just a simple code reader. Otherwise it would still be a quess.

      Robert young behind the intake plastic manifold plenum there is a o-ring gasket that will cause that problem

    I have an 08 300 limited. The steering is wonky. I had to literally “drive” the car at all times. The steering wheel won’t come back on its own and the turn signals won’t reset automatically. Is this typically what causes that issue?

    For the 10mm removing the center silver piece. What is it called? A recessed Alan ? Would a normal 10mm hex bit socket work? Need to know ASAP! Thanks in advance. Love the videos!

    ok here recently, my steering wheel was way off because i needed a alignment and when i needed to turn using my signals, i had to manual turn them off but once i got my alignment the steering wheel is straight but when i turn my wheel slightly it turns of my signal or make the signal noise without me touching my signals...what can cause this?...im driving a 06 charger

      I recommend checking to see if there is any damage to the portion of the clockspring that makes contact with the turnsignal arm. Thats usually the issue with it not canceling on its own and might be the cause of the other issue as well. You will need to take it apart to see if there are any broken plastic pieces. would the SAS being bad cause the ESP BAS light to turn on

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  8 років тому

      The SAS can for sure cause those lights to come on. First step is to have the modules scanned for codes. Make sure the scanner that is used has the ability to access all the modules so that you can make sure you get all the codes. Thanks for the question and make sure to subscribe

      I have a 05 Chrysler 300c with the ESP/BAS light and error code U0103. It gives me a message on the EVIC that says Service Parking Assist System. When that comes on, it sometimes limits my speed or if in park, won't let me shift out of park. Could that be the same thing?

      I've got a 2007 Dodge Charger 3.5 anybody out there know why it's going into limp mode. Seems to happen when I first start up. I shut it off start it back up and it seems to be okay every time. Would the clock spring have anything to do with this. Thanks for any help.

    is it normal that my steering wheel keeps moving ?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  9 років тому

      +bryan sanchez There should be no movement in the steering wheel. Check the mounting bolt to see if its loose. It may have backed off and now the steering wheel can move which is something we don't have. Double check that bolt and let me know what you find.

    • @lilmasacre1

      +MotorCity Mechanic where would the mounting bolt be located ?

      +MotorCity Mechanic where would the mounting bolt be located ?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  9 років тому

      +bryan sanchez The mounting bolt is directly in the middle of the steering wheel. I assume from what you said that you removed the airbag and the steering wheel is moving like its loose?

    • @lilmasacre1
      @lilmasacre1 9 років тому

      +MotorCity Mechanic yes I'm trying to take that one out, but the steering wheel keeps moving. not sure if the wheel needs to stay still in order to take it out .

    Can this be the reason why my car won't start ?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  8 років тому

      +LosoMFG I haven't seen a steering angle sensor cause a no start. I would say that you have a different cause. This will only cause lights to come on the dash mainly.

    • @Losohereee

      +MotorCity Mechanic no other code pops up and I hear the starter going and my battery is charged so I really don't have an idea

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  8 років тому

      +LosoMFG Its odd that there are no other codes. So it sounds like the engine is spinning over because you said that you can hear the starter.....but the engine will not run by itself. It could be a fuel or spark issue. Spraying a short burst of brake cleaner into the throttle body could tell you if its a fuel issue if it starts and funs for a second or two. Sounds like some good old fashion diag is needed. There is no one thing I can tell you to check.
