I have Casanova 12 ounces and Cleto Reyes 12 ounces. I have relatively small hands. Casanova's arm sits just perfectly, and Cleto Reyes is a little too big and I can't fully reach the seam with my fingertips, which acts as an additional clutch bar. In addition, Casanova is much softer, they could immediately fully open the palms. Casanova's skin is thinner than Reyes'. Therefore, the actual weight of Casanova is a little more than 14 ounces, and Reyes - 17 ounces. The overall quality of workmanship, especially stitching, is definitely higher in Reyes. Reyes' weak point is branded stickers and piping, which do not seem to be made of genuine leather. In general, it is Casanova who allows me to make the perfect quality, I can't do that with Reyes. My choice is Casanova, although Reyes is definitely a model of Mexican boxing gloves.

Yes, the training gloves have a longer more rigid cuff and the padding is more balanced for a better crack on the bag over the extra padding gloves. Best way to describe it is the training gloves crack where the extra padding is more of a "thud" if that makes any sense. Both great gloves, just minor differences. Also the training gloves feel a little more ergonomic, which I think Reyes has tweaked a little over the years.
Great video I like the puncher style glove more than the jabbers style even though I am a jabber rather than a puncher. I just like the comfortability of the knuckle formation.
Been using Cleto Reyes for 35 years and they are Superb, however they aren’t as good as they were in the 80’s and 90’s. Back in the day the only place to get Reyes gloves in the states was to get them from trainer Jimmy Montoya who made the best boxing shoes ever made or to get them from Margo Boxing supply in Los Angeles which is long gone. Casanova are pretty damn good but Reyes are much better IMO
I know what you mean about overcompensating with the casanova to get the knuckles to connect. I would recommend trying them on first rather than buying online.
Iam from spain cleto is around 300€ casanova you can get them for 150€, however the fairtex mexican style is 130€ so i will probably pick the latter since the cleto are waayy out of budget
Agreed, Necalli the only legit source for real Casanova gloves. The other stuff is sold through pro boxing supplies and made in Pakistan under the Casanova name.
I’m interested in the Casanova gloves. I have the Cleto Reyes 16 oz glove And fits me perfectly. I have a question if I buy the Casanova 14 oz will it be less wider than the Casanova 16 oz glove? And my other question Will the Casanova 14 oz glove will be the same Wide as the Cleto Reyes 16 oz glove?
I bought to pairs of Casanova. Casanova has very Poor quality on the borders . They are from plastic . After 6 months of use the plastic border of my gloves began to crumble.

@@csquaredboxing bring this back as your intro song
Casanova was the original boxing gloves used in the very first Rocky movie. Look it up
Yup 👍🏼
Reyes are definitely made better, but the ergos on the Casanova are better for me and I have small ass hands.
Any difference between the training gloves and the extra padding gloves for heavy bag use?

Really enjoy your channel. Thanks for doing this one!

Very true, like much of the equipment nowadays, quality isn’t what it used to be
thanks for the comparison. are you going to upload a video working the heavybag w cletos?
Yup will be doing a video soon!
I'm gonna get a Pair of 24oz gloves I can't wait
Dude that's huge
I don’t know why Thurman commented about Pacquiao wearing this vintage gloves and feels punch like a rock, is the gloves thin or standard thickness?
I know what you mean about overcompensating with the casanova to get the knuckles to connect. I would recommend trying them on first rather than buying online.
Yeah that’s a good idea so you know what you’re getting
What happened to the catchy intro?
I had video editing issues with the voice and picture not syncing properly so had to unfortunately remove for just this and one other video.
Nice comparison
Thanks!

Between these 2 gloves? Reyes all the way!
@@csquaredboxing I'm sorry for not making myself clear, but in general of all boxing gloves?
Good gloves for an affordable price I'd say Infinitude Stealth, Rival RB2, DMB Boxing Gloves.
@@csquaredboxing thanks , those red ones you have the stealth boxing ones are nice, bC of you I'm buying new gloves now. Thank you very much bro
No prob!
What model and oz of the Reyes you got ?
Velcro Training Gloves 16 ounce
Which one has better antimicrobial or anti sweat soaking inner lining?
Reyes
@@csquaredboxing thanks!
Are the Casanova bigger than the Campeon?
Yes they are on the inside, wider and just a roomier hand compartment
Would the bigger people land on knuckles them ?
If you have larger hands the gloves will be better fitting, but landing on knuckles is more of your technique
Iam from spain cleto is around 300€ casanova you can get them for 150€, however the fairtex mexican style is 130€ so i will probably pick the latter since the cleto are waayy out of budget

Make sure you order from Necalli boxing gloves NOT Casanova necalli is now Casanova’s original glove maker long story maybe Carlos can clear it up

@@csquaredboxing price is king. The Contemporary "US Casanova" lets you reconsider
Would the Casanova 14 oz be similar in size as the Reyes 16 oz?
Thanks
I’d say so, with a wider hand compartment

Necalli gloves are wider than Reyes from my experience
You should come back to this video and put a disclaimer about the cassanova name being stolen by another company .
Can compare Raja and Decha?
Will do!
I bought to pairs of Casanova.

You probably bought the USA version
