What I learned on my own was after learning to abide there, consistently and regularly meditating like this, I discovered one day, while walking and talking with someone, that it was with me WHEN I WASNT MEDITATING! While I was just concious, and carrying on with my day/life! This epiphany or discovery or awareness, brought me instant joy and I was able to see it or rather, feel it or maybe an even better way to describe it is be aware of its presence, often. Thank you.
Nameste Ryan, I am a new subscriber to your channel. Absolutely appreciate your ability to break down the nuances and specific details of Mediation. You have given a beginner Mediator like myself useful tools to develop a consistent Mediation process. Shanti! Shanti! Thank you.
I have been watching your first Kriya videos and I have such a strong connection with what you say, with the sound of your voice and with your teachings.. I´m so grateful for your videos.
Wow, did it and loved it more than the meditation. I have been meditating for years and no one has shared this gift with me. I say gift because of the warm feeling of peace and safety I experienced. Like the universe was rewarding me for doing the meditation. I actually rested in the arm of peace. Thank You so much.
Hey Ryan (Don here): I love this "holding the mental breath" - it describes quite simply and clearly the "feel" of "being" in Silence. It seems then, when it is more or less effortless, and sustained, it is the perfect condition for contemplative enquiry. Being in that unbounded Silence, there is a kind of "looking" (questioning?) and seeing ever more deeply, "What" is it that is aware?" I've been exploring this practice more deeply, and your video just "happened" to show up, and is a very helpful support in continuing this practice. Thank you.
Thank you Ryan. What you are describing as 'holding the mental breath', just observing without getting pulled in, is vipassana meditation. A period of vipassana meditation at the end of the kriya meditation is an excellent idea.
Great. I'll tell all those folks who for some reason come to my seminars, and then wait until the Q&A session to inform me how Vippassana is the only true ultimate way to practice. ; ) Funny how often that happens. They must have missionaries!
Thank you ryan for these beautiful words. There are times when I just give up because its so hard to hold the mental breath but listening to you gets me motivated to try again and again and again. Thanks you!
Vajrayana practitioner here, but yes so true. So many of my teachers say not to undermine this abiding or completion stage...I’ve never heard anyone explain it like you just did...Thank you for putting it in plain English 🙏🏽
Thank you Ryan. I will start working on this technique. After using the mantra and I achieve mental silence, when the random thoughts start coming up, I usually go back to the mantra and sit in silence again until the thoughts start coming. I will work on holding the mental breath.
I don't have a real Guru in life, and I was able to reach that level 13:27 for about 5-10 sec, even though it was for a short time, it was the most intense feeling of just being able to observe the stillness which was there all time, sense of stillness and not being completely aware of surrounding and the body pain. It scares me, so I pull back as I do this alone. Time runs so fast during that state. I was able to reach that level because I was depressed of someone's death and I just wanted become nobody for few days. .
I would like to know more about the Astral level you mention? When my mind stops I seem to have the attention moving about, absorbed in energetic flows and light phenomena?
Guruji, Pranam.. sometimes I realise I’m dreaming and then get back to awareness - should I continue trying to go back to peace or close shop and try again another time?
Should this be done while focusing on ainachacra? I'm new to looking up while focusing, and I get distracted when my eyes start vibrating bc of strain. So sitting in silence is much easier if I'm not.
I recently joined the channel and i had only watch the meditation videos uploaded in 2013. I am gladly surprise watching this video, uploaded 7 years ahead, and seeing your spiritual, mental and physical evolution. Great work Ryan, may the light and masters accompany you always.
I've finished Autobiography of a Yogi 2 weeks ago and stumbled onto your channel. Just want to thank you so much, I really respect you work and your way of being

What I mean to say is that 'holding the breath' sounds just like vipassana meditation. Didn't mean to say that it necessarily is.
Please ignore this comment. I don't know what I'm trying to say. Apologies. I would delete but I can't see an option to.
Great. I'll tell all those folks who for some reason come to my seminars, and then wait until the Q&A session to inform me how Vippassana is the only true ultimate way to practice. ; ) Funny how often that happens. They must have missionaries!
Marvellous explanation. I will definitely try this having lots of experience of waiting impatiently for others to shut up.

Sorry for your loss

If they keep you focused internally, they are OK, but endeavor to go beyond eventually
When the food tastes so good you accidentally knock the plate off the table.

Guruji, Pranam.. sometimes I realise I’m dreaming and then get back to awareness - should I continue trying to go back to peace or close shop and try again another time?
If you cannot snap out of it, go take a nap, then start again when well rested.
Do you love God/Guru.
I love everything
Should this be done while focusing on ainachacra? I'm new to looking up while focusing, and I get distracted when my eyes start vibrating bc of strain. So sitting in silence is much easier if I'm not.
wherever you can focus is fine
Thank you
