it's like the unraveling starts as a (seemingly) singular incident that makes you seek deeper understanding and zooming out both, simultaneously. and then this one shift snowballs. my best friend's dad passed away in dec2018, all his life the only thing he wanted was validation and he'd done everything in his life to be hailed as the hero; and then when he passed away, he hadn't really enjoyed any of it - he lived the life people around him wanted him to live. it made me question if i'd end up the same way.. if i was going to live a life that's not mine just so i can feel accepted. and today it has led me to ask if anything really defines us - experiences, people, achievements.....? or, a better question is, why do we feel the need to be defined by anything? the very purpose of it is to show where we're bound.
Many texts say that adversity is the greater form of prosperity. Because if constantly assailed by adversity, your choices are to be crushed, or to look deeply into what you are in relationship to the experience.
I'm sure I do. Although it's likely in the early videos. This is covered in the Kriya Yoga Apprenticeship course as we discuss the Sutras, and also the 26 Hour downloadable Kriya Yoga Sutras Course. But I do know its somewhere on this channel too...
