Just added all of this to my Walmart app cart and it came out to $10.66 Since it makes enough for leftovers, that's a damn good deal. You can get a few meals out of this easily. You're awesome. Please keep making videos like this.
Welll, made this tonight for dinner. Had everything except beef broth. it takes alot to impress my hubby thumbs up on this one!! Printed it out to keep. Even thou my noodles were done 4 minutes ahead of time i drained anywasy & keep the lid on. You guys really have to try this one. Where I am In Mississauga Ontrario Canada the No Nme broth was $1.79 and the tube of ground beef (didn't have any left in the freezer was $5.00 but had everything ellse. I just love this guy.
This is one of my staples from Mom. I call it hamburger stroganoff but other family members have called it poor man's stroganoff. Using fresh mushrooms instead of canned as the old recipe called for really elevates it!
Love your channel! I tried this recipe but substituted goat cream cheese for the sour cream. My friends love it :) I also used gluten free rice pasta instead of the egg noodles.
Had seitan, some mushrooms and half a container of Tofutti sour cream. Just substituted the animal products with plant based produce and this recipe made a really good vegan stroganoff. I am going to add this to my recipe repertoire.
Oh, a suggestion for people who can't stand; or can't stomach sour cream. You can substitute it with cream cheese for a similar effect, just without the sour taste.
@@necrogenesis1981 well this is true. Some people loathe brussel sprouts but I love them and so does my daughter. I boil them just a few minutes and my daughter salts hers and then roasts them. I wonder if people that think they're disgusting boil them within an inch of their lives!
Ok lemme start with I love this show ever since it started, I've learned so much from Frankie and it's truly ideal if you have to live on a budget. That said, maybe someone on the team could work on the recent thumbnails, they look stiff and "old", and they don't represent the playfulness of the show at all - if I didn't know and love this show from the start, I wouldn't click on it, and that's just a shame and easily preventable!
I love your videos, you teach my lifestyle. I’m about to graduate from IU this may and am an app developer. If you have any ideas I really want my work to be something I enjoy and I love cooking and am hoping to combine the two. If you have any ideas or would be down to get in some form of contact that would change my world. I am try to work on an idea of a app that has your pantry and can think of dishes and helps you cook cheaper by using what you already have
Could it barcode scan your pantry items? I realize there’s likely database access issues there, but one of the things that’s a complete pain in the tuchis with calorie-logging programs is when you have to go and type things in/search them (and that’s just managing stuff you eat in a day, not the contents of your pandemic pantry...)
@@robynzelickson6164 A goulash is Hungarian, and takes paprika specifically, but there are lots of hunter’s stews (bigos, cacciatore, beef chasseur are three I can come up with off the top of my head.) They’re frequently complicated recipes; I’d be interested to see how the Struggle team would strip it down.
@@tinad8561 thanks for that. I make cacciatore now and then. I've made goulash once or twice but haven't heard of bigos. I'll have to do some more research there.
This channel is probably the most underrated cooking channel in youtube.
Hundreds of recipes later and "Drop the stock!" is still my favorite thing.
Me too. I'm glad it's part of the show
Just added all of this to my Walmart app cart and it came out to $10.66

Frankie's smile at 2:30 when he says, 'drop the stock' made my day.
When the pans full of stroganoff
Drop it like it's stock
Drop it like it's stock
Drop it like it's stock
Always enjoy a good stroganoff, and a good stock drop.
I learned to make this many years ago in home economics class. I still make it, just this way. Delicious! Thank you, Frankie, for sharing!
We need more Frankie
I love Frankie! I've learned so much while being super entertained.
How does this channel not have more views? It has comedy, charisma, and cost effective cravable cuisine! Go Frankie! Struggle on brother :p
Made this yesterday. Absolutely delicious! Some of the best stuff Ive eaten this year.
This does remind me of Grandma's home cooking. The only thing missing is hot fresh rolls right out the oven.

Love this channel. Saw your show on TV as well. Excellent, and entertaining.
DROP THE STOCK!!!! Love it!
LOVE the idea of using ground beef for a Stroganoff! Takes it to a whole different level. Thanks, Frankie!

Thanks for posting your substitutions ~ being lactose intolerant, I am always thinking of subs for milk prods 🙏🕊
That looks so sumptuous, Frankie! 🤤😋
DROP THE STOCK.....YES. LOVE IT.
As an Aussie- another “vintage” dish that u love , that’s also cheap, is “Apricot Chicken”- yummmmm!
Had seitan, some mushrooms and half a container of Tofutti sour cream. Just substituted the animal products with plant based produce and this recipe made a really good vegan stroganoff. I am going to add this to my recipe repertoire.
Thanks for posting the substitutions! I will try for my restricted family members! 🙏🕊
His cooking is great cheap fast tasty way to go Frankie👍😎
Looks so good!!! Thanks Frankie, for all you teach me about cooking!
Love you Frankie. Keep the videos coming
Let’s have cooking workshops at all schools, paramount to eat without preservatives…let’s get healthier America…we can do it!
I shouldn't watch this man cooking just before lunch. My God.
Thanks frankie...guna make this soon.
Homemade hamburger helper. Love it!!
We love stroganoff and use hamburger all the time to save on cost.....also due to availability! 🥰🥰🥰Awesome recipe! Thanks for sharing!🍻🍻🍻
Literally thought this was only on Snapchat I’m glad it’s on UA-cam cause them ads on Snapchat just get crazy
This was my lunch and it was delicious 🤤 thanks for the recipe
This looks so good! I can't wait to make it
Love your videos thanks 😊

Yogurt works too, it's still a little sour but not nearly as much. I'm lactose intolerant and it helps.
But cream cheese is disgusting too 🤮
@@necrogenesis1981 ya yoghurt works. Plus it's edible...unlike sour cream or cream cheese...bleh!!
@@robynzelickson6164 I wouldn’t say they’re inedible but to each their own lol

Thank you Thank you Thank you.
Great
Stellar recipe. Slaps.
how do you stock your kitchen and tend the herb garden?
The editing of the drop probably cost more than the actual dish itself.
Just an awesome meal.
Dude, you are completely silly…lol lol 🤣🤣 I watched this one twice.
Yummm 😋💜
I like the mustard, but never used tomato in my stroganoff. We would use sour cream. I would upgrade it with quality yogurt & cream.
What can I substitute for mushrooms?
Nice

is that brown mustard?
Where'd he find ground beef for 2.70/lb??
That’s about how much it is here in Texas. Depends on which type you get though. Some are more expensive than others
What kind of mustard was used for this dish? It was very pale from what I'm used to.
Dijon ;)

Where do you find the exact recipe?
In the description………
Frankie, don't roast my grandma xD
Oooo, goulash. Do you do a goulash, or a hunter’s stew?
Is a hunter's stew different than goulash, but I don't like it spicy.

Time to go to the clerb…….. n drop the stock 😤
… I usually pair it with rice instead of pasta
Looks good but needs Brandy
Richard Nixon's favorite dish. He might've been a crook, but he had good taste.
Budabop Bing! 🥁 Good one 🤪
Looks better than that disgusting Hamburger Helper Beef Stroganoff my mom used to make. I haven't had this dish in 40 years.
There must be a different editor now. I need more sound effects !!!! Boings and dings and sparkles!!!
Real stroganoff is made with potatoes, not noodles.
Stroganoff isn’t Russian?
They should call it beef romanov
@@jflores85 😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣
I love u Frank but cilantro does not belong on everything lol
Umm, it's not American. The clue is in the word Stroganoff (Stroganov).
To much salt!!!
Was loving this until you added the mushrooms and paprika 🤢
Just leave them out..I'm not addin no nasty onions either! So you can have my onions and I'll take your shrooms 😋
Why can he not give any measurements or Times for this stuff? ??? I'd love to make it, but, Come On!
