Dear, John, we're missing you in Memphis. Thanks for your timeless contributions to our childhoods. Rest up, Big Guy; you'll always be our Uncle Buck.🏆🍻💯
I don't recall John Candy ever playing a mean spirited character. All of his characters were funny, friendly, and down to Earth. A sad loss but at least we still have the memories.
John Candy was the real deal. He captured my attention back in the day with SCTV. When he hit the big screen with his talent he truly shined. Since he died I have yet to see anyone else have his special gift. He could truly make me laugh and in some moments make me cry. R.I.P. John and keep them laughing above.
Uncle Buck was one of my all time favorites. Every scene cracked me up. I especially loved when John made the HUGE PANCAKE and used a snow shovel. We need John in our lives: especially during this difficult year (September, 2020) May he R.I.P. I miss you John💕
I can’t believe it’s been 25 years already since he passed. He was/always will be a comedy legend, and he lives on through his work and those that grew up watching him and his movies.
If he were still alive he'd have been one of if not the greatest comedy writers of our time rest in peace the greatest father, uncle, coach, and travel partner ever if yasee this 2021 and respect this man you're a legend
When he says "What you see is what you get" in 7:26 he sounds so sincere and I bet he, John Candy, really was that way. A 1-derful actor with so much God-given talent who mastered his craft, he enjoyed his work so much that it didn't seem like he was working at all, and that permeates to us. I will never tire of having fun with his movies and I suppose you all feel the same. Maybe his drive to leave us that amazing collection of great performances in such a little period, as if he knew his time among us was limited, was what eventually killed him when he was only 43. Blessings from San Juan PR
With John Candy and Robin Williams gone, comedy will never be the same again. Everyone's so over-sensitive and easily offended that comedy legends are rolling in their graves! I miss the good old days when Comedy was accepted no matter what! Rest in Peace John Candy and Robin Williams
It's too bad John Candy died so early and didn't get more opportunities to display more of his dramatic acting ability. He truly was a great actor not just a great comedian
My part of Ontario, at my age and with the interests I share with friends, there are so many personal stories about John Candy as a day to day person. All good.
JC was an extremely talented guy. I do miss his presence in movies. As an early 80s kid, he occupied a significant place in my big screen memories. I watched planes n trains just before Christmas having not seen it for decades, it was such a treat. I'll watch Uncle Buck next.... Another classic. Gone far too young, RIP John.
As good as this montage is, there are no clips from Cool Runnings, Summer Rental, Nothing But Trouble, The Great Outdoors, Canadian Bacon, and so many more amazing John Candy movies. What a brilliant man we lost, makes me so sad every time I think about it. RIP to the GOAT.
Always loved the washing machine scene from uncle buck. He's giving it hell lmao. And Moley Russell's wart bahahaha. One of my favorite actors ever. I grew up watching all his movies. Great outdoors used to be my favourite when I was little. Then teaming up with Mel Brooks for Spaceballs is just classic cause I love Mel too.
I'm usually not hit by deaths of famous people but John Candy and Chris Farley hit me hard. Still miss them both.
Same. Although I also make exception for Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley music-wise.
There will NEVER EVER be another John Candy, you were the best at making us both laugh and cry. R I P John

He played a sleezy attorney in JFK and was awesome.
Jfk he was a shady kinda character. Was BRILLIANT in his small role.
Unless you are a nat. Or a bug.
So was he! Some guy on set once asked him to help without knowing who he was, and he was all to happy to help
He was a mean, drunk gambler in Cool Runnings
His laugh is addicting. What a beautiful human being. He should be here but sadly he’s not
John was the Best! The World could never be the same ever without John in it!!!!! God bless you John!!
His laugh was so great - a naturally funny and likable person - not too many of those 👏👏
Outside of Uncle Buck, John Candy is always the uncle we always look up to in every film we watched.

Perhaps the best comedian ever to come out of Canada. We miss him so much.
And that's saying a lot.
Still, to this day, i love watching John Candy, thank you for everything.

Something about him was just naturally good natured and funny
Such a kind person he was...
R.I.P. John Candy, today would've marked your 70th birthday on Halloween 2020.
He lasted 43 years.

The GREAT John Candy the actor who can NEVER EVER be replaced.
Same for John Belushi and Chris Farley. Well as a matter of fact there's alot just can't write them all down.
What a sweet and real person. It's hard not to like him, in any role. He is missed.
He had the best laugh ever. William B, Jonny LaRue, Dr. Tongue and all the movie rolls
Miss you John Candy
I can’t believe it’s been 25 years already since he passed. He was/always will be a comedy legend, and he lives on through his work and those that grew up watching him and his movies.
28 years already and I still love his movies
Love John Candy. He's one of a kind.
What a star, what a legend, what a laugh. R.I.P.
The world lost an amazing actor when he went away.

This stuff is pure gold!
Absolutely no comedian today could match any of this.
His laugh was infectious
John Candy, absolutely brilliant.

I was born on March of 93 but that doesn't help

John Candy. A true legend, you are missed!
"Big bear! Big bear chase me!" needs to be included in this.

He would have been perfect in a film of Confederacy of Dunces as Ignatius Reilly
Seemed like a good natured human being.

Anytime I mention Spaceballs my sister always goes, "Funny, she doesn't look Druish!"
Yeah, it never gets easier 😕
That was cool when he punched the clown twice. Funny actor. A man that can make movies fun and great.

Don't forget Summer Rental
Owen is the best side character in movie history
6:04 fun fact, Steve Martin was a germaphobe and he wasn't told that Owen was going to spit in his hand and he immediately ran off set to go wash it
STRIPES !!!!!!!!!!
💜💜💜
Uncle Buck is transcendent comedy
"I knew I knew you."
