That's because it depends on how many hit records you've had, and how much overall success and popularity you've gained in the music industry. It's not based on how well you sing or how good your voice is. That's just how it is. Most legendary recording artists aren't icons because they were good singers. It's because they had a certain sound, singing style, image, and uniqueness that people liked, as well as being properly promoted! Plus, many were great songwriters (like Taylor Swift is said to be) and great musicians playing various instruments. So their singing is actually secondary to their primary talent. But with that being said, I do really enjoy this performance.

Anyhow, I really like this song and I appreciate that younger people keep this classics alive.
