Good looking truck man, I've got a 68 step side myself that's also boosted LS. It's a rod piston aluminum 5.3, next gen 88 t6, built 80e and a 9". I'm finally getting a cage in it after multiple 9 second passes lifting after the 1/8th.
Damn dude that’s movin for a truck, I raced mine a couple times 11.40’s with a shitty converter, I just drive mine and didn’t want to cage it, I have a cummins powered bel air that I’m gonna start racing soon, need to get the cage installed and trans built still on that one. Thanks for watching
If you mix in a quarter or 2 of diesel oil and then change your oil. It'll get all the crud out of your engine. Completely safe and will hell it last longer.
@rosinsautofab1956 i run 10w40 and have used a quarter of atf several times. The detergent is what I was getting at, just trying to be friendly. Bad ass build man!

Hey I took a gamble on my 5.3 junkyard oil pan and it leaked in my 86 c10. How did you get it to clear the crossmember and fly wheel? Any help would be awesome because I though of buying a cherry picker to pickup the motor to give me clearance but I don’t want to spend all that money if I could do something else.

I run 15w40 in a lot of my race cars, atf or a detergent oil would be what I would use if I was trying to clean up an old engine

Haven’t had any oil starvation problems, i have one on my tube buggy, there some video and shorts of it in my channel of it, thanks brotha!
So that's an untouched lq4 6.0 stock bottom what size Turbo and how many lbs of boost
Precision 76mm, 15psi is about all I want to push on stock rods etc…

I pulled the engine mount bolts and jacked up gently on the balancer, just be careful
Use a wood block and a floor Jack
