I have the DM8 Pro, which I've had for about 9 years. I just finished upgrading it with newer and sturdier parts, all around. And then my high-hat pedal goes mysteriously silent. It was caked up on the inside. Did the cleaning, and it's back Baby. Thanks a lot. I would have never known, if it hadn't of been for your video. And more than likely, I would have replaced it. You saved me $$. 👍👍
My issue is the hi hat cymbal is not registering hits. It works fine with a different connection but if I use the connection label "hi hat" I get nothing from that connection on any of the cymbals. Any fix for a single bad connection?
I haven't experienced that myself, so unfortunately not. I think I remember someone posting something similar in one of my videos.. I'll scroll through and if I find anything relevant, I'll post back. Good luck.
@@PandaIemoto Update, if anyone is having the same issue. I reached out to support, and they sent me a new snake wire connection. I plugged the new wire in and it's been working flawlessly ever since. It kind sucked but their support was solid, and I'm glad it's all working great now. I ended up also buying their 2500 watt drum speaker, so it also sounds better now too.
Hmm.. It sounds like an issue with the board perhaps? I have you figured out where the failure is happening? I would start there if you could and correct the point of issue.
For me it was the 35 mm jack that was messed up, any chance you'd know how to replace it? In this case i just put some tinfoil in there to permanently ground the cable, but at the cost of having a permanently "closed" hi-hat
I just got my first Alesis drums set. What can I do if the center kick is not being detected by the system? (They produce no digital sound, like the one you get when you press the “kick” key on the display)
I'm experiencing the same thing and trying to repair without replacing the pedal. I have the DM6. If it's under warranty, dont attempt to repair, call Alesis & see what they will do. If not then 1st determine whats bad, the module, wire or pedal trigger. Unplug the cord to the pedal, use a paperclip or something metal to metal rings on the jack, if it triggers when the completes the circuit then your module is fine. Most likely its a short or loose wire from the trigger. Disassemble the pedal, look where the wires connect, if you see a broke, loose, disconnected solder or break where it connects to the trigger then that's the problem. If you don't the trigger may be bad which is what's wrong with mine. You can order new ones from Amazon for under $10. I found videos on UA-cam how to replace. It looks pretty simple, just 2 little wires and gluing a disc on about the size of a quarter with gorilla glue. Hopefully this will fix it. I hope that helps, at least determine what part is malfunctioning. Blessings and rock on. -Jim
I had this problem! Click on the VOICE button when you are playing the kick. Then click the UTILITY button, and it'll give you a list of settings, you have to click PAGE/SELECT to go through the list. And use the left/right arrows for changing the settings. I've got mine set like this: SEN 016 (sensitivity, this is the important one!) THR 000 CRO 016 CUR 006 S--S 009 LOC ON GM OFF POW 030 Then hit voice again, and PAGE/SELECT so you can check the volume of the kick pedal. I've got my volume and reverb at the max and now my double bass pedal sounds great! I hope this helps 😊
Oh bummer.. Well, I use Logic Pro for my Drum Tracks, and I noticed (in the Smart Controls) that I had turned the pedal off.. A long shot indeed.. Not sure what setup you are using..
My problem is with the alesis nitro hi-hat pedal Which is not very responsive and it has been that way since purchase at Christmas 2022 I have tried all settings but still works when it feels like, do you have any tips for that

Never use water. You should use QD Electronic cleaner spray. It's designed for cleaning electronic parts..😊

My hi hat pedal is for the dm10 pro. It’s doing this same thing. Won’t work. So frustrated
