Honestly the CGI and the Ultra Instinct Kumoko are very good here and I'm very happy of how they portrayed this.
Also Aoi Yuuki nails the character all the time

She can see the future...Basically, she has a better Spider Sense than even Spider-Man.
It doesn’t warn her about things behind her or things she’s not aware of, so it has drawbacks

That Poison skill of hers is really op when you think about it. On top of the base damage it does to enemy health which seems relatively high based on the strength of her enemies she also has the added benefit of applying a DoT effect that will at least ensure any opponent that isn't resistant to poison in this world will receive some level of damage as a fight goes on.
Poison is also OP in real life. And if they were more vivious, her poison would also apply paralysis.
Or liquify muscles, soft tissues, and organs while the target is still alive....yeah, spiders are scary in real life as well. Just be glad they can't be the size of house cats...
I think it's even a genre joke too. Like the first enemies that are really capable of threatening an early game RPG character are ones that inflict status effects, including poison. So it's like she's exploiting that early game overpowered move against other monsters technically out of her weight class.
@@Battleguild to be fair, most venoms *usually* can't liquiefy muscle. Some cause necrosis that kinda can like brown mercluse, but spiders usually liquiefy their victims by expelling their stomach acid onto the victim and turing them to sludge
The thing is, it’s only useful when fighting an enemy who wants to eat you, or who’s already restrained, because it doesn’t work, unless they ingest it. I’d imagine that her venomous fangs would be much more effective against other enemies.

excapt for the big dragon. They tried to make it shiny and ended up with CGI that looked like a 10 year old tv show.
You haven't watch 'Land of the Lustrous' it seems, for anyone who believes that CGI ruins anime go watch that show now & something tells me you are gonna change your mind instantly.

at the beginning I couldnt stand the 3D CG but now it has grown on me. I really do find this a cute spider. What makes the most of this is the seiyuu voice. Seriously, she is just amazing.

Nii-sama, not Nee-sama. Nii is for brother, Nee is for sister. Also, as a heads up to avoid confusion, the human segments of the series are all time skips into the future to show what the classmates are up to after they aged a bit unlike with Kumoko who we're seeing from the very start. And that spider that the Hero was fighting was actually one of Kumoko's offspring.

How is it an "epic" plot twist when it's as obvious as can be? I'm not repeating myself on this matter, as anyone who actually uses their brain can easily figure out the segments are between time skips. Anyone who doesn't realize it, even after seeing the reincarnated grown up students already fully established in their new lives and roles, are braindead idiots who need their hands held, and I almost feel sorry for them. So why should I be "considerate" to people who can't figure out something so very obvious that I was able to figure it out while reading the damn novel before it was stated?

You do have a point, if someone were to use their head to actually think about how reincarnation works, then it should be obvious since the first Volume or the first episode.

well she HAS been at it for 16 years by this point. They were all incarnated into "infant" bodies and grew up at the same rate. (though I am not ENTIRELY sure how that translates for their elf teacher)
Actually the anime is skipping some parts,she spends two years in this labyrinth.
I love this series, im currently reading the light novels but the one complaint i have about it is, while they do a great job of showing how close to death spider girl is, the fact that she is constantly being saved due to "outside influences" Like here with the skill levels getting pumped up to turn the tide, or against the monkeys with the constant leveling up to regain health and mana. Its not a major complaint as the only other option is to turn her into a genius able to solve all sorts of crazy scenarios with her superlative brain power then AFTER the fight get to enjoy the rewards of skill ups and levels and that would be really hard to pull off and justify considering she is a high school girl who never had to deal with combat until she was reborn as a spider, so her tactical thinking wouldnt be naturally very high. Her plans as they are work well as sometimes they are a hit, sometimes they are a miss and that feels realistic.

Although to be fair it straddles the line of that because normally in a gamer story its ONLY the protagonist (and at times their party) who gets levels and skills and such while this world everyone gets them to some extent or another, but yeah, the gamer part is fairly unique and special. I consider it a sub genre.

It's like Skyrim, you need to keep using a skill to level it up.
Some are passive like Foresight, and others are active like Energy Conferment.

Anyone else think that the anime is rushing?
I think they don't really have a choice but to rush a little bit, as the only satisfying end point for season 1 would be to reach the end of LN volume 5, which marks the end of the first act of the story. However I still think they're hitting all of the important points and that the pace is pretty good so far. I just wish that they'd spend a little more time expanding on some of the other human characters, rather than just Shun who is by far the least interesting of them all (by design).
