It's crazy how Kingdom Hearts 2 is some God game with almost zero vanilla skips to the point that the only skip in the whole game is the most tedious thing that's only useful in 100% if you happen to have a ton of Drive Recoveries, yet the moment you switch around a couple bosses, the whole thing falls apart. Edit: Holy shit. That Marluxia fight, as jank as it is, was so awesome. It even had a clean transition into a second phase off of the main arena and onto the larger one. Imagine making a scenario so unintentionally badass. It helps that Marly is so cool to begin with, though.
Watching these randos has gotten me into doing them myself, and whilst I haven't done a boss+enemy yet, I've had that exact Hades thing happen to me lol
It's not "sometimes it just doesn't randomize a boss." It's "sometimes a boss is rando'ed into vanilla." Right? It happens with checks sometimes and definitely seems like it can happen to the bosses.
Okay, so the situation in this run specifically was that (Regular) Roxas was randomized into prison keeper, however he was also still in his normal spot too. So in this case, the Roxas boss fight was not "vanilla," perse, it simply wasn't randomized, else there would only be one, not two. Does that clear it up?

Due to how the boss rando is currently programmed, by accident or purpose, the code to switch Roxas and the AS fights to their data versions aren't put in. As a result, there's two regular Roxases, two regular Vexens, etc. One of the two Roxases was definitely supposed to be Data Roxas.

1:22:25 it isn’t actually too weird. As long as you think button locations instead of the buttons, it’s not so different. The layout is exactly the same. (I’ve beaten all the playable kh games on Xbox on critical. Except kh1 since critical mode doesn’t exist.)

hey I was wondering, i watched the video on how to set up a randomizer run but i couldnt find anything on how to make a Plando Run. I was kinda interested in learning how to make them. Does anyone know of any videos i can learn to do this with?
I think a cool idea is taking the idea of the plando where maybe a world gets unlocked once you find the keyblade for that world. It would make getting keyblades be pretty interesting even if they aren't really useful to use.

I love seeing french vanilla in randos. My favorite rando is still FFIV. This rando is a close second.
