Thought it sounded a bit like the black album, but the more I listen to it the more I'm getting used to it and the more I'm liking Justice with bass.
Come and play the original album on my stereo setup, and tell me where it's sounding thin..... The bass makes it sound so muddy and flubby. Lars kick drum really stands out, rather than smothered in bass guitar. Best album hands down, then MOP.
I agree. It sounds like maybe some slight chorus or maybe the reverb was upped - this is not the master vocal. Overall, it is like a mix of reverb and maybe a slight slapback delay, almost going for the massive sound, but it just sounds odd.
Best song on ...And Justice For All, in my opinion. One is a close 2nd. I agree, I'd also add that To Live is To Die is incredible. I'm not sure where to place it but I find that song more beautiful than One. It's in a different category. Justice is probably my favourite Metallica album.
I really like Blackened, but AJFA has so many GOD tier songs, its insane! If I were to put a rating list it would probably go something like this: Blackened (amazing thrash masterpiece) Dyers Eve (ANOTHER incredible thrash masterpiece) Frayed Ends of Sanity (one of the best prog metal songs ever written honestly) To Live is To Die (their best instrumental, its just amazing) One (spectacular ballad, mindblowing as fuck!) And Justice for All (compliation of a ton of absolute killer) Eye of The Beholder (very unusual structure, very different from everything else, an amazinf song for sure) Shortest Straw (yet ANOTHER awesome thrash masterpiece) Harvester of Sorrow (a great heavy metal song)
Base or not, I cranked this album through a carver amp, top of the line realistic speakers w/ 15” woofers. Shook the house. This album was made to play at extreme volumes! Especially Blackened. 50 years old and still love the older Metallica.
It's the consequence of the bass not being heard in the original. People feel they need to have it stand out far more than it should be just to prove a point rather than musically having it centered as it ought to be.
Better than the last one! Bass is loud and audible but doesn't overshadow everything!!! Also love how much more clear the vocals are Keep up the work! do the WHOLE album The world of METAL NEEDS IT
The bass is too loud for Metallica and is clearly overshadowing the guitars and the vocals. I like the clearer (no clipping) vocals and guitars though.
Victor Mats I've always thought metallic should've turned up the bass a bit. All of their bassists have great lines. Hell, Bob Rock made sure every album, "Black Album" onwards, had audible bass If you want massive bass done right, check out "severed survival" by Autopsy
Amazing take, this. Everyone mentions the bass, and the entire song sounds so good and so clean here, but the thing that REALLY elevates this version is James's vocals. They're so in-your-face and aggro. Absolutely perfect for this song.

This entire album by Metallica is the greatest piece of artwork ever out together that I have ever heard in my entire life. And I say that with my entire soul!

I always loved this one and was delighted when they sometimes used this as the live show opener. It perfectly fits that rol
Stereo snare, this time...? Yes! Everything sounds balanced and full. I wasn't sure how I felt about the vocals, at first, but they make everything sound spacious and wide--precisely what the original recording lacked; it was flat as a tire, this is rich and clear. The harmonies soar, that bass purrs and supports the rhythm, nothing drowns the other out. It all builds with clarity. Love it. :)
It seems like the vocals have a lot of Reverb added and technique they're using or started using after the Black Album a lot it's a great fan edit it's awesome to actually hear bass guitar they were such dicks to Jason Newsted after Cliff died we heard no base ever like barely
Same feelings here! The vocals bugged me a little at first because they sounded like they had reverb or could've been faded slightly at the end so the release wasn't as "long"... but after a few listens it fills in that space nicely where it would've otherwise been filled with, like, Lar's snares or cymbals or some shit haha.

Thought it sounded a bit like the black album, but the more I listen to it the more I'm getting used to it and the more I'm liking Justice with bass.
The intro always gets my skin on edge before the drums kick in,not to say the whole song is a master piece.
the intro the definition of fire
There was always something in the original mix that made it sound so thin, this definitely fixed it
Nose
BASSically...
Totally agree, I never realised I couldn't hear the bass I'm this song until now. It sounds so much fatter
Also, reminds me of Dave Ramsay Style. Ness
Come and play the original album on my stereo setup, and tell me where it's sounding thin..... The bass makes it sound so muddy and flubby. Lars kick drum really stands out, rather than smothered in bass guitar. Best album hands down, then MOP.
There was barely any bass guitar at all in the original (volume wise)
Thank you Jason, thank you for that riff
One of the best metal song ever, now with bass!
Awesome.
Sick remix. Some slightly dodgy reverb on Hetfield's vocals, but generally, excellent!
I'm almost certain that was in the studio version as well after listening to both tracks back to back unless we're talking about two different things.
I agree. It sounds like maybe some slight chorus or maybe the reverb was upped - this is not the master vocal. Overall, it is like a mix of reverb and maybe a slight slapback delay, almost going for the massive sound, but it just sounds odd.
@@afrocoolio25 I thought the same thing. Other than that it sounds awesome.
I like the reverb, it reminds me of Puppets vocals.
"Never a reverb!"
Yeeeeaahh, I'mma need you to go ahead and remaster this whole album and then some, thanks 👌🏻

Yasssss! Agree as hell! 🤘
He can't, no public stems available... He got these from Guitar Hero and Rock Band games
Bo ThatGuyYouDon'tKnow I’m gonna need the whole album to be remixed/mastered and put on Spotify
Yes sir! I completely agree!
That bridge reminds you how legendary these guys are
It sounds phenomenal, the only little issue I have is with vocals - feels like they're a bit distorted due to very tight compressing.
Best song on ...And Justice For All, in my opinion. One is a close 2nd. Oh and here are the lyrics:
Blackened is the end
Winter it will send
Throwing all you see
Into obscurity
Death of Mother Earth
Never a rebirth
Evolution's end
Never will it mend
Never
Fire
To begin whipping dance of the dead
Blackened is the end
To begin whipping dance of the dead
Color our world blackened
Blistering of earth
Terminate its worth
Deadly nicotine
Kills what might have been
Callous frigid chill
Nothing left to kill
Never seen before
Breathing nevermore
Never
Fire
To begin whipping dance of the dead
Blackened is the end
To begin whipping dance of the dead
Color our world blackened
Blackened
Opposition...contradiction...premonition...compromise
Agitation...violation...mutilation...planet dies
Darkest color
Blistered earth
True death of life
Termination...expiration...cancellation...human race
Expectation...liberation...population...lay to waste
See our mother
Put to death
See our mother die
Smoldering decay
Take her breath away
Millions of our years
In minutes disappears
Darkening in vain
Decadence remains
All is said and done
Never is the sun
Never
Fire
To begin whipping dance of the dead
Blackened is the end
To begin whipping dance of the dead
Fire
Is the outcome of hypocrisy
Darkest potency
In the exit of humanity
Color our world blackened
Blackened
I agree, I'd also add that To Live is To Die is incredible. I'm not sure where to place it but I find that song more beautiful than One. It's in a different category. Justice is probably my favourite Metallica album.
... And Justice For All is the Metallica's masterpiece. Great from beginning to end. And better even when you let the bass audible.
I really like Blackened, but AJFA has so many GOD tier songs, its insane! If I were to put a rating list it would probably go something like this:
Blackened (amazing thrash masterpiece)
Dyers Eve (ANOTHER incredible thrash masterpiece)
Frayed Ends of Sanity (one of the best prog metal songs ever written honestly)
To Live is To Die (their best instrumental, its just amazing)
One (spectacular ballad, mindblowing as fuck!)
And Justice for All (compliation of a ton of absolute killer)
Eye of The Beholder (very unusual structure, very different from everything else, an amazinf song for sure)
Shortest Straw (yet ANOTHER awesome thrash masterpiece)
Harvester of Sorrow (a great heavy metal song)
This album is godly Right next to ride the lightning so Many good track's and James vocals were at it's peak
harvester of sorrow is my personal favorite. justice is easily my favorite metallica album. rock on friend 🤟🏼
Is that....
*BASS?!*
DAT BOOTY
Epico
Davie504 approves this version
Skywarp Fuck Davie
Yes. Beautiful.
I LOVE coming back and listening to this!
Base or not, I cranked this album through a carver amp, top of the line realistic speakers w/ 15” woofers. Shook the house. This album was made to play at extreme volumes! Especially Blackened. 50 years old and still love the older Metallica.
I don't see why people say the bass is too loud, it gives the mix a really good low end
They mean the bass on the original song, not on this remix.
It's the consequence of the bass not being heard in the original. People feel they need to have it stand out far more than it should be just to prove a point rather than musically having it centered as it ought to be.
They say it’s loud because they’re used to not hearing it at all.
Nope, it's too loud, it's not correctly mixed.
Finally. Blackened with balls.
Black.
You misspelled "Bass" lol 😎
@@aldoparziale2631 STOP THAT FUCKING ANNOYING DEAD MEME
@@aldoparziale2631 There is bass but quiet...
@@poliszslaw5499 jeez relax
Insane job with this. So much depth and space in the mix, it's sublime. Amazing job!
I had probably not listened to this song for more than 10 years. I didn't remember it being so brutal...
Better than the last one!
Bass is loud and audible but doesn't overshadow everything!!!
Also love how much more clear the vocals are
Keep up the work!
do the WHOLE album
The world of METAL NEEDS IT
The bass is too loud for Metallica and is clearly overshadowing the guitars and the vocals. I like the clearer (no clipping) vocals and guitars though.
Victor Mats
I've always thought metallic should've turned up the bass a bit.
All of their bassists have great lines.
Hell, Bob Rock made sure every album, "Black Album" onwards, had audible bass
If you want massive bass done right, check out "severed survival" by Autopsy
John Doe its been done look up and justice for jason
Baby Skullz
I know and I love it.
But this version is what would most likely an OFFICIAL remaster would sound like
This is my fav bass mix so far, but still don't like the drums. not fat enough, no balls.
Amazing take, this. Everyone mentions the bass, and the entire song sounds so good and so clean here, but the thing that REALLY elevates this version is James's vocals. They're so in-your-face and aggro. Absolutely perfect for this song.
This is a great remaster! Excellent work. I'm really happy I found this. Thanks for the work you put into this. You can tell you care.
Excellent job Ahdy! The bass is at a perfect level, and not over mastered as it is in most other revisions.
Cancelation human race - heard you James, heard you.
Obviously they knew back in the 80s....what else did they try and tell you?
Liberals listening in 2020: "That James Hetfield has some good ideas. 'Cancellation human race'? Let's do that!"
@@Tex84 i know its a joke but cancel culture has always existed lol, just that it has only been given a name in recent years and attributed to liberals
My beard grew a beard after hearing this
This is literally THE best remastered version of the Justice stuff I've heard. Sounds natural, not like somebody just exported the Guitar Hero baseline and threw it underneath. Props!
I still cant believe that Jason wrote the beginning riff
now this is how AJFA should sound like..instead of hitting u with a whip, it now hits like a sledgehammer..
the sound engineer was a dick at the time. this sounds awesome. amazing work!
AJFA is good as it is. Stop bitching
yea ajfa is good as it is but this is even better
@@elmeriputkonen4875 to much bass
@Dave E It is heavier with very quiet bass. I agree with @Lurgen
This was my gift to myself after a try not to headbang challenge
I been obsessed with music since I was a little child. I had phases with different genres through out my life because Ive always been open minded with music. This entire album by Metallica is the greatest piece of artwork ever out together that I have ever heard in my entire life. And I say that with my entire soul!
Not only the bass, but every single instrument sounds SO AMAZING ! RESPECT !
That's how the album should have been recorded.
Justice was and is perfect. The remaster has too much reverb on his voice, and bass too loud. Don't know if it's my cell phone, but the volume seems to swell sometimes
@Eternal Rambler
Sorry. I'm commenting on the remaster.
The original was perfect. I'll edit
The bass is just too loud and bad
This mix has me FUCKED UP DUDE this sounds like Seattle but studio quality
@@riffhousestudios96 i thought the same thing, especially the vocals
Frayed ends of Sanity maybe yes :))))))))))))
Would be cool, but there's no stems available, I think =/
Andriy Vasylenko Hey what if you just send him your bass cover frieeeend
Dr Falcon no way, it's awful)
In my opinion, the best song in the album
So plzzzzzzzz
This song never appeared in either Guitar Hero or Rock Band, so there are only remasters of what has been released from the albums.
sounds exactly what you would expect it to…this is probably the mix Steve Thompson had envisioned
I physically cannot stop headbanging while listening to this. Much better mixed like this.
Damn if you get around to remixing the whole thing, please provide an option to download it in a good bitrate
stereo mix

SepticSchizo955 if you want to dowland it use TUBE MATE search on UA-cam how to download music from UA-cam whit TUBE MTE
Robert Robert Thing about that, though, is that UA-cam's bitrate is pretty meh. The quality for audio isn't great.
Voltscream after you download it the quality of the song will be same good as an song bought from Google play or itunes. And if you use an good music player like jet audio plus the quality of the song will be 1000× better than is on you tube
Metacilla's most technical album
fazeel ashraf who?
Lol Sorry i made this comment really late, i was tired out of my mind.
And their only one.
Also their best :)
Its tellamica
Omg man, those remasters are so heavy and full of sound. Awesome job! Subscribed!
Absolutely killer opener that even easily beats his good counterparts in RDL (Fight Fire with Fire) and MOP (Battery). Solid furious riffs perfectly with catchy chorus and elevataed by powerful solo, with perfect timing between changes in the middle section and the introduction of the solo and the posterior rerturn to the main riff. I always loved this one and was delighted when they sometimes used this as the live show opener. It perfectly fits that rol
this album is a masterpiece of metal, my favorite is Ride the Lightning, but this is just godly
For me, Master of Puppets is the best
Idk, KeA is 3rd place for me, RtL 2nd and MoP and AJFA share the 1st place, however all of these albums are fucking masterpieces
1. Ride the Lightning
2. Master of Puppets
3. Black Album
4. AJFA
5. Kill em all
1. Ride the Lightning
2. And Justice for All
3. Master of Puppets
4. Black Album
5. Kill Em All
Every time 2:44 hits im like, "Ahhhhh .... shiiiiit"
Kissy, Kissy! Same lol
Always
Here we go again

5:40 for me is the best part and no one talk about it idk why
I can hear bass now
This guy is a pro! You can clearly hear Jason's bass and it's definitely been formatted for today's devices!!!🤘🤘🤘
I still don't know if bass is too loud or I just can't get used to bass in AJFA tracks.
Probably the latter
Danko Hidalgo Gutiérrez no it’s not. It blends in very well. Makes it even heavier.
It's too loud. The Black album has the best produced bass, and it's incorporated perfectly in the mix. Here it just overpowers the guitars.
yeah. its a little loud. or just a lot better defined than the mushy overdubbed guitars.
cool project though! Great work Ahdy!
Sorry guys but ajfa is ajfa and bass is totally unnecessary there
Stereo snare, this time...?
Love it. :)
Nicholas van der Waard to me this hides those over produced drums. This is much better.
My mind blew when the drums kicked in after the intro with that bass.
4:13
here is your replay button...
Thanks man
Bro this is s pretty pure and amazing remaster and remix. I love that the bass doesn’t saturate the whole mix but also doesn’t sit inaudible in the mix. It’s in there and plays the role needed. Great work
4:06 is my favorite fucking part. Hetfield completely lets loose. See a mother DIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
its crazy how much better the album sounds with bass being audible
Hearing the intro makes it feel like I'm reborn
