  • If you're in the market for a new vacuum cleaner, you must know why my Shark nz801uk replaced my cordless Dyson V8 absolute. It's not often you go back to cords or wires but for me, it just made plain sense, especially when it achieved all my outcomes.
I think in the distant future vacuums will be cordless but for now, the suction is just not sufficient enough to be the sole household hoover. Hopefully, this video reassures you that going back to a corded vacuum is not such a bad idea after all, especially if its the Shark NZ801UK!

Hi Adam. Great review! I have just purchased this to replace my NV680UK Shark lift away. Was absolutely fine and going strong since 2017 until my decorator recently decided to use it to vacuum up plaster dust. Complete trashed it, through the motor and everything! I just wanted to add how excellent I found Shark customer service. My hose began to leak air about 6 months after I bought the NV680UK and I called them up. I had a brand new full hose and handle delivered the next day. So a positive experience. I’ve not contacted them about the recent issue as it’s not a warranty issue but a usage one so wouldn’t be covered. I highly recommend Sharks. I did try a Dyson V11 but returned as it’s ridiculously heavy.

Sorry to hear about your Dyson. I have a DC59 and there's some serious design flaws with it and the flimsy plastics have put me off the new dysons along with their ridiculous pricetags

Just ordered one, my gtech really doesn't pickup very well so hoping the corded shark has that much needed power!

I have the pet hair version. Firstly, it beats my old 1500w Hoover. Now for the bad part. It is not supposed to get hairs trapped at the guarded end of the brush, but dog hairs enter there and get tight slowing down the speed and straining the motor. I had to use a small bent needle to tease them out, had I not done this it would have jammed up the brush and burnt out the motor. It is a simple design fix but try telling Shark as they seem to know better. After this I have no regrets buying it.

Just ordered this model Adam, pick it up tomorrow…. I’m only a single bloke in a ground floor flat, but I do have long hair! hoping it’ll last me a few years and is reliable, getting it from Argos for £189.99 on offer - how’s yours holding up? Still pleased?
