When you first launch your business, one of the first things that you want to start doing is collecting email address. MailChimp is a great email campaign provider that will enable you to accomplish this goal. It's easy to use and best of all it is free (if you have an email list that is less than 2K subscribers). It's important to build an email list because this will help you to further develop a relationship with your audience.
Once your audience gets to know you, they will feel more comfortable conducting business with you. One of the ways to reduce the time it takes to get acquainted with each other would be to create a welcome series or email course.

You do make sense. :) In regards to the branding part of your request, I actually cover this more in my Brazen Brand & Design course (starengu.thinkific.com/courses/brazen-brand-designs). Please note that I am updating this section of the course due to some changes MailChimp made to their interface. I should have this completed by the end of next week. Thank you so much, very simple and to the point explanation. Just a question, does Mailchimp automatically send the second and third emails on the same time of the day which the first email has been sent? For example if a client subscribed at 6pm today, will he/she receive the next emails at 6 pm ?

Yes, you should be able to do what you described, but I don't have a video regarding this. This video that you are watching is actually apart of a free trial video for my Slay with WordPress course. That course not only teaches people how to create a website but also covers email marketing ( I have videos on MailChimp and Mailerlite).
Agree with all the other fab comments, such a great video. I've a question about the double optin process which I'm going to use as a sense of proof for the purposes of gdpr here in the UK. Does that process cancel out some of the steps advised here, or is it a follow-on-step during the confirmation process, especially in terms of the timing of the two message? Thanks again :)

Great video thank you. Do you happen to know why my automated Final Welcome Email never get sent out when someone signed up for newsletter ? I tried sending test and that worked fine but when it comes to automated, it never worked even mailchimp status says "sending". I am using free mailchimp account which has no tech support. Hello! I'm using the free version of MC. I don't see the "add e-mail" button described at 8:34, after clicking "Edit" in the Campaigns page. Do I need to have the paid version to have that feature?

Hi Jen,Thanks for your kind words!I want to make sure to answer your questions in order:1.) If I understand you correctly, you can easily add the second email. Just remember to change the timeframe parameter to send immediately.2.) You can definitely add a download link to your emails as well (I’ve embedded videos as well).3.) Can you setup automation for segment only?
Excellent thank you. Does mail chimp automatically put the opt in people into your list? or do we need to put them into the list and then it automatically sends out the emails as you have shown us. I am not clear on that as you clicked on your list at the beginning

Thanks Starengu! I'm new to this, and your video was wonderful! I have 2 questions for you. Say I have 2 campaigns with 5 emails, but after the 5th email I want them to continue receiving emails. How can I continue adding emails and people in both campaigns receive the same email. My 2nd question is, What happens when someone replies to an email? Do they continue to receive the rest of the campaign emails? Thanks again!
Hi Dan,
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Just to clarify, I think you meant to say if you have two different automations not email campaigns (campaigns is something different), so correct me if I am wrong. Your subscriber will receive whatever amount of emails you have set up for your automation.
As far as adding emails to the automation flow, you just need to edit the automation and add all the emails that you want to add to the automation workflow. You add people to the automation by making sure that they are on the list that you want to have connected to the automation.
I'm not sure what you mean by what if someone replies to the email...That has nothing to do with the automation (at least at the time that I'm writing this). They will continue to receive the automation unless they choose to opt out.
I go in to much more details in my Slay with WordPress Course, but this information should be more than enough to get you started. Hope this helps!

No problem! Unfortunately, no. The only way that you can potentially get around this situation is to create a master list. You can read more about this here: kb.mailchimp.com/lists/growth/use-the-combine-lists-tool However,
I don't believe that it is worth it to use this option for automations. It's too much work in my opinion, but figured I would share it with you. Hope this helps. Have a great weekend!

I'm not quite sure if I understand your question, so correct me if I am wrong. I believe the answer to your question is that your subscribers will automatically continue to be added to your list.
Let me explain what I do to see if this answers your question. If I create a list that is called newsletter if someone new subscribes to that list (via an opt in form on your site) and you have your welcome email automation properly set up they will automatically receive the welcome email.
However, others that are already signed up to be on that newsletter list will NOT receive your welcome email. Only the new subscribers will receive your welcome email. The way I set up my lists is that I offer a variety of content upgrades whenever I create a blog/vlog.
As soon as someone signs up for one of my content upgrades, they will automatically receive my welcome email series. Everything is done automatically for you once you set it up.
The only reason I would create a new list is to keep track of my content upgrades. For example, I created a MailChimp Email Series Planning Guide for this video (eepurl.com/cK9P_P). So I created a specific list in order to deliver the guide and to see how many people are signing up for that particular piece of content. Once you download your guide, you automatically receive a welcome email from me. Even if that new subscriber signs up for other content upgrades they will only receive that Welcome Series email from me one time.

Yes, this happens automatically and when you manually add subscribers. Always make sure to test the sequence as well using your own personal email. Once you feel comfortable, it's pretty much set it and forget it. Glad you found the video to be helpful. :)

I have a problem. I set up an auto campaign that says sending. But the emails never actually get sent out to my subscribers.
I have a series of 5 emails that I send out to new subscribers when they opt in on my landing page. After the series of 5 initial emails I then move them to a general group of subscribers to which I email out my new blog post every Monday morning. Is there a way to automate things so that one campaign(the initial 5 emails hands off to the second campaign(the weekly blog posting) I don't want to have them get the blog posting until after the initial 5 emails because I feel that they would be getting to many emails from me if they both happen at the same time.
Not to my knowledge. Honestly, this was one of the reasons why I switched to Mailerlite. I have a tutorial for them as well, but I need to create a video specifically addressing what you described. You can do this with Mailerlite, Convertkit or ActiveCampaign. Mailerlite is free for the first 1K subscribers.
