I have tied for 30 yrs and I learn something with every video I watch. All the patterns I have tied have been very effective. Certainly one of the best tiers out there.

Thanks again Davie for posting all these great videos.
You saved my nights this week, I watched a lot of your videos as my new born baby cannot sleep if I do not hold her at night. Watching your videos in a row helped me noticing important details that really matter in the end: take care to create a tapered body (think about that when tying materials: position is important), use tension on the thread and wax it, compare materials size and position with the hook size or body length. Thanks again

Hi Davie, I really enjoy watching you tie. I was at FishTales Fly shop and David Blair informed me that you were here, at the fly fishing expo a couple of weeks ago. I too was at the expo on Saturday and Sunday; I was with the Calgary Hook & Hackle Club. I would have liked to meet you in person. What was Ironic about the Expo, I was showing a fellow club member how to tie your Polish Pheasant Tail and Small Polish Nymph, not knowing you were there too. Big Fan of yours and hope to meet you soon.

    Davie,
Really enjoy this pattern. I have tied a couple of your emerger patterns, but this one with the angled fibres for the wing coupled with the parachute is ingenious, and to me, the most representative. Awesome work.

Davie, you're also a nice guy for showing us all these patterns you make and you explain everything very well. Also I can't imagine how much materials you must have home. lol I started tying my own flies (mostly for smallmouth bass, pike and walleyes) a little over a year ago and I don't have the talent you have for tying flies. But with time, practice and watching your videos, I'm sure I'll get better at it. :)

Hello Davie. I was wondering where you've been. Boy am glad to see you back my friend. Have missed watching the vid's. Just wondering if you was going to do a salmon fly or two. Would you have any idea where a guy can get silk gut for doing the classic's? Hope the weather is ok there for you. Thank you for the new fly I shall be tying for my box.
    Best Regards, Ken

Der Davie, following the sudden and unexpected death of Steve Parton his business is currently suspended. He was a great guy and is sadly missed. I don't know if he ever had the chance to thank you for using his materials. He said you had never met. I miss his good humour generosity and total no BS approach to life

Davie, While I enjoy getting links when I ask about a product, I am coming along after Biota Korea and I also would like to know what kind of wax you use. Now the link is not so convenient because I have to ask you again. Thanks for your time in answering this question.
