Brilliant tying! Watched with amazement as one material after another was added! All those materials in the last 2 mm without the thread falling off the eye! I've seen you do it before with other patterns, but this ............!!!!!!!
Davie, I've decided to use this fly to make me a better tier. If I tie a hundred or so then maybe I'll know how to tie it. I have to acquire a few materials first...you are truly an inspiration to me. Patrick
Masterpiece! I've Just uploaded my first Fly Tying video on my new Fly tying channel! I always look forward to your videos. You've helped me so much with both methods of tying and what materials to use for certain situations... Thank you so much!!! ~David
Well I tied it and for a less than a years practice tyer its not bad. The pheasant wings dont show as prominently as yours do but its all there and its definately fishable. I am only doing two of these though thats for sure haha
Another great pattern Davie. I was wondering if you would ever do a few video's showing you fishing some of the flies you tie. Just a thought. Tight Lines Dave
Hi Davie I would have to say that is a great looking fly and the colors are great .. Will have to tie a few up and see how the panfish are here like them. What would you sub for the blue jay feathers?? It is hard here to find them. Thanks For the Great Vids Chance
I sometimes end up running out of room with the irish flies as there's so much stuff on them - and the 'head' ends up being too big and out of proportion. Any tips for avoiding this? Thanks for the great instruction on such a wide variety of flies.
It always amazes me how much you can cram onto a hook and it looks amazing when you’re finished, thanks for the inspiration and advice Jimf
Another beaury. Can't wait to practice this one. Every time I push myself to master your flies it makes me that better a tyer. Many Thanks.
