  • If you've always wanted to make a traditional Caribbean-style black cake, one of the most important ingredients is the fruit mix--a combination of raisins, currents and mixed peel that's soaked in rum and wine.
    In this video, I'll show you how to prep your fruit mixture in advance, and if you are short on time (as in your craving black cake tonight) you can also simmer the fruits on the stove in some sweet wine and rum.
