@@sage7x7 Sorry if our analysis seemed skewed. I've tested both systems in my home several times. And it's a close call in terms of user-friendliness and features. So much has changed since we made this video though. You've inspired me to do a rematch 🤔
Simplisafe's customer service is indeed one of the best across all industries. I had a 5 year old first gen system and the base station decided to crap out. Simplisafe replaced and upgraded my entire system with the latest equipment for FREE and I'm not even subscribed to their monitoring service! A company that stands behind their product and with US based customer support deserves putting up a review to give credit where its due!
Well I am glad that has happened to you, but for me they're saying that I need to purchase a whole new system. For that reason I've been evaluating other alarm companies that has a better track record when it comes to upgrading and/or replacements.
You made a whole video on this but clearly didn’t take 5 minutes to research what ring actually offers? You flat out said they don’t offer things that they do. This was a horrible comparison filled with false info. Signed, someones who is debating what system to get and has clearly done much more research.
This is so true. I was confused as to why she was saying that Ring didn't offer certain things when it clearly says it on their website and I also know it because I installed this at my parents home.
We have SS and love it. The system is over 5 years old. When components go bad, SS replaces them without cost. We have had exceptionally good service and the ability to talk to service personnel about helping in any question we have with our system. One negative is the inability to update when away from home. We don't know if there is any system that offers such a service. That stated, it would be nice to have the ability to update keypads when away. We have friends who help us update the keypads. We have no plans to change our system. We love the new outside cams. Thanks to T-Mobile we now have the best internet service in our area compared to its competitors.
We just upgraded are SimpliSafe system and it works great. we also added the outdoor camera and really like this system. We really like the monitored CO & Smoke detectors. Thanks for your Video.
Just uninstalled a simpliSafe system. The motion sensors on SimpliSafe indoor cameras are only good for 15 feet or less, their motion sensors aren't much better. Simpli's are also $40.00 more than rings which have a 30 foot range. Couldn't find the $10.00 monitoring plan from Simpli that you spoke of? The monitoring plan from Simpli is actually .93 a day or roughly $28.00 per month. Ring uses Z wave technology while Simpli use's WiFi. Didn't have a problem finding a smoke/Co alarm on the Ring site! Basically another review on other peoples reviews, no facts. Will admit that SimpliSafe was very pleasant when I got the return authorization though.
Since I’m already paying Ring to back up my videos; there’s no additional charge for the alarm monitoring. The 3 door sensors and motion sensors is all I need. Right now I’m not interested in any bells and whistle‘s.
@@TheMrbeasely Ring is a good system (not great) but as far as an alarm system it does what it needs to do and have many cameras with cloud-storage with flood/freeze sensors and a cellular backup and door/window sensors all for $10 a month or less if you pay yearly up front with no contracts! I've tried many systems over the years since dumping ADT and I'm still sticking with Ring. Been using for almost 2 years now and no issues. As an alarm should be - no false alarms and pet friendly motion sensors and very easy setup without a tech. coming out every time you want to add to the system. If I had to choose right now SimplySafe would be a strong second but charges too much per additional cameras per month for the same features.
Great video. Is there a video where you compare or evaluate their App performance/experience and also how adding more components impact the overall wifi load on a home? Thanks again.
Having myself a RING and I am very happy with it. The service of RING is excellent, living in Europe where they don't have official simplisafe.... Their service/support is bad..., They don't even want to help you when you live in an unsupported country. With RING you have a local phone number to call. Also what emergency gets video footage? Never heard of that before. Seems almost like a sponsored video....
Good question, @saraA16161. Unfortunately not. SimpliSafe is available in the US and the UK, but not Canada. We do have a list of security systems available up north though! www.safewise.com/blog/best-home-security-systems-canada/
I opted in with Simplisafe, their standard monitoring is $14.95/month just enough while I am using Ring Floodlight Camera video record subscription $3.00/month ($30/year annual).. The simplisafe security system is much easier to adjust/customize vs Ring alarm system!
Who do you think won?
Ring
Ring
Ring.... (just to let you know, your video was very biased AGAINST Ring). Curious to know, do you have a Ring or SimpliSafe?

Great! Keep us posted on how you like the system. We'd love to hear from you
Which one has subscription free app usage for self monitoring?
Both have really basic self monitoring without a subscription, but they both really limit how you can use the cameras.

Great point, Michael. We didn't even go into cloud storage and video backup. Do you like your Ring system?
And?
So you don't some of the things mentioned, but others may. Everyone has different security requirements.

Great suggestion! We haven't made that yet, but we'll keep that in mind for our future versus videos. Thanks!

This seems quite out of date now, I guess Ring has made a lot of changes in the last year
You're right. It might be time for a 2023 update 🤔

Great video
Fast fwd it’s ring no longer offers $10/month plan
Incorect information. Simply safe has a basic plan with app for $ 14.99 a month.

Pretty bad if one does a review without showing all the equipment of both visually. Too much talk, not enough photos.
Please lose the background music. It's very distracting and annoying.
Embarrassing video. You did compare them fairly.
