Excited to see some real reviews on this! For me it doesn't match the "hypermotard" name tag, its short of a cylinder. Its a posh supermoto with fancy electronics package and Price to match.
I agree 100%, it is a nice bike and I will be looking to try one but as a 950 Hyper and Husky 701sm owner I see it far closer to the 701 than the 950. Possibly a Supermotard?
The KTM/Husqvarna/GasGas Supermotos are lighter, cheaper and have way more torque. More parts available for better prices. Easy to tune. Cheaper and easier to maintain. Overall a better bike.
Are you going to make a full exhaust system for the Ducati Hypermotard 698 mono? Is that part of your plans? What is the estimated cost? What is the time frame? I have this bike so I have some interest to undo the "euro5 BS strangling of this engine"! Let me know, Olivier Mannie, Belgium
Cast wheels on a supermoto is like fitting a race fairing on a honda cub 90 , useless ! Supermoto supposed to be hooligan bikes and being a hooligan involves jumps , shame as it looks the the business, let's hope some companies makes some real spoked sm wheels for it and then I could be tempted on one
I too love the look of spoked wheels, thumbs up on the comment. But most cast wheels are lighter, stronger and able to run tubeless straight out the box. Not all bad.
@@olivernewell6902 cast wheels are not stronger than a spoked wheel .. if that was the case why don't MX bikes use cast wheels or any supermoto race bike use them for racing 👍👍
@@Rust_valley_adventures Cast wheels were banned from a lot of events due to the open design. In theory hand, arm or foot could go through the wheel, causing a lot of damage to that individual in a crash. 30+ spokes cover the area nicely. Cost. Much cheaper to replace a rim and spokes than a wheel if dented or buckled. As a road bike it makes sense to have cast wheels, fit and forget not needing any maintenance checking spoke tension etc. Your right, a spoked wheel would absorb a lot more before breaking than a cast wheel, the spokes might not be too keen though. Its just not the intended way of riding this road bike.
@@olivernewell6902 if this is a road bike then they shouldnt be advertising it as a supermoto bike , supermoto are to be ridden hard which includes jumping etc and basically riding it like a loon , it's not really a track bike as a gsxr 600 would wipe the floor with it around a race track, it can't be used on a supermoto track as it can't be jumped so why is it branded a sm bike ? This will be just another accessorie bike to go to Starbucks and look cool on 😆😆 or ducati will bring out spoked wheels for it in a year or so like they done with the desert x offering better stronger wheels at over inflated prices.. there's also spoked wheels avaliable as tubeless lol

I’m sticking with my 701 with your remap for a while, be nice to see what you can do with it though
701 is a great bike. We loved ours.

But they are all squid bikes and the styling is boring. But this… Woaw

I think it's a very cool looking bike for ripping up the street. I can see crazy riders getting into a lot of trouble on this bike. 4:22
We think it will be great fun!
What is this guys UA-cam channel. Would love to see his journey, comparing the single, with the L- twin.
Hypermotardking. Great guy and knows his stuff.

@@BHPUK thanks!
What's that white vertical strip on the bike's "forehead" , a grocery list?
That #1 on the number plates ruins the look of both versions.

I just can't live with those cables right in my field of view, spoils the whole thing
Same as on the KTM 690
A Chinese clone 🤣
