  • So many folks are intimidated when they get their first machine. Don't be afraid, get in there and make it work!
The machine I am using in this video is a Cobra Class 18.

I just took delivery of a Weaver 303 last week, and while I'm able to use it, your tutorial has been extremely helpful and will ensure that I have a much more professional result with my machine sewing. Thank you!

I’ve had my 26 sitting in the corner of the garage for the past 6 months I’ve been afraid to use it. It’s been all set up. After watching this video I threw the belt I’ve been working on up there and I’ve successfully stitched it! WAY better than hand stitching. Thank you for this tutorial!

This seems to be a lot more common situation for leather crafters who took the plunge. I also recently got a cowboy 341(a clone of yours) and I didn't touch it for three months because of the fear of breaking something or the daunting task of learning a skill. This video has helped me immensely

Awesome tips. I’ve struggled with machines that weren’t really leather machines trying to sew leather. I need a proper machine

Thank you for all of your great tips and videos. I’ve been blessed to finally get a class 26 and like you said it is intimidating. I am going to assemble it tomorrow using your assembly video.
    Keep up the great work!

Thank you, Aaron! I have been avoiding the machine for the same reason, plus a couple others. First, I was waiting to refurb an old Singer I bought for $40 (replacing wires, grease, wicks, etc), and second, I don't think I can use very thick thread. I've been learning leather working for 1 year now and, unfortunately, am late to learn of your videos & store location - I just moved to Missouri from TX... I worked at Fort Cavazos (was Fort Hood). Either way, I am still learning a ton from your videos, so thank you! Especially ones that demystify parts of leather working, so it's not so intimidating. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! 🎉

You ain’t kidding, I bought a Sailrite LS because I don’t have a dedicated shop yet, and I love it but I’ll be trading up as soon as I get the chance.

I love my Cobra Class 18. I have had for many years. I bought a skiver from Leather Machine since watching your video; however I am struggling with it. I know it’s me trying to figure out how to skive; but it’s frustrating me. I’m practicing.

I don't fear my lsz-1 anymore, but I'm having trouble going around a curve corners. Any thoughts on how I can conquer going around the curve corners?
