Just let them look like in civ 5. I mean the atmosphere created there with the different leaders is unique in my opinion. I like to play civ 5 just because of that 😂
I agree. I was never against the Civ 6 look, and the Civ 5 look started looking dated after a bit. But this mixes the stylization of 6 that makes it timeless with the clarity, density, and naturalness of 5 that made it feel more like a real world. Excited for this!
After my first playthrough start to finish im going to twirl my mustache over a cigar and glass of wine. You know a game is good when you know your first playthrough is so exciting that winning or losing is completely irrelevant.
I usually specialize a town based on wonders. It was especially easy in Civ IV with national wonders. If you balanced the two per city right you could get a science powerhouse, a culture powerhouse, a military promotion powerhouse, a great person powerhouse, and a production juggernaut.
A constant thing I've seen in the past ten years as we've moved to districting in 4x games is a constant wake of mods to fix cluttering between districts. These come out basically right after the game because the gaps (which I can clearly see here) draw away from the immersion of building a cohesive thriving city. It feels more like modern loose amalgamations of large suburbs versus a fooling complete dense urban city.
Town mechanic looks really fun. I wonder how bad micromanaging cities will be in 7. I like 6, but if you get dozens of cities it’s a little annoying in the late game

These games are not for avid fans of the genre anymore. I mean anything that comes out of these big studios have dumbed down gameplay appealing to the masses. Truly good mechanics can only now be found in smaller games willing to take risks (Kerbal Space Program, ONI, StarSector etc.)
ooh multi-hex city centers I love it can’t wait. Between this, KCD2, and the Wayward realms hopefully dropping in the near future I feel like I’m in a golden age
@@cthonicaidoneus I think they just made it so districts and buildings are incorporated into the city better. I don't think the city center is actually that big
I think the speed of the water falling in the water falls is a bit too fast. It looks more majestic and impressive when it falls more slowly; it will look more like great waterfalls than a couple garden hoses on full.
Not quite already. It would 10 years ago but now strictly hexagonal map look is hugely outdated. I am not even mentioning cartoony art style and especially leaders.
Waterfalls are typically located in more natural or rugged landscapes, often formed by rivers flowing over steep terrain. Many of the largest cities tend to develop near flatter, more navigable waterways like rivers, lakes, or coastlines, which historically supported trade, transportation, and agriculture. Building large cities near waterfalls can also be challenging due to the uneven terrain, risk of flooding, and limited space for expansion. However, some smaller cities and towns have grown around waterfalls because they provided power for mills and industry in the past, or have become tourist attractions, as seen with places like Niagara Falls. Larger cities, like Portland, may have waterfalls nearby, but they're often located just outside of urban development for these same reasons. Seems valid. Source chatgpt.
Please just make good diplomacy, because Civ 5-6 had terrible diplo and AI. Civ 6 got even worse somehow when it comes to AI in more recent updates, it's just too passive and doesn't do anything, so every game ends up being "click 200 turns till you win".
Hopefully the leaders get reworked to look as beautiful as the map
That was my biggest pet peeve when Civ 6 came out lol
Especially Suleiman the Magnificent. They sucked at the design in CIV6

This game has the perfect mix of stylization and realism. Just enough stylization so everything pops and the realism to immerse you

Don't let them butter you with treats. We may be the ones Sid laughs at. 😂
Yesss, a perfect blend of Civ 5’s and civ 6’s art styles. I approve!!
lol wat are u smoking this is if humankind had civ 6's bastard child
Is there any chance of adding miniature citizens walking around the towns to add more life?
@@coloursbyrj I was about to write the same thing. They should tottaly do it!!
Well I agree that would look really cool I feel like that would massively increase the requirements to run the game.
If it is an option I would welcome it. If not Bro my pc 🔥

Oooh a city specializing sounds interesting

Looks awesome. Thank you for getting away from the cartoon graphics of Civ VI
Probably be a good idea 5o avoid looking at the leaders rhen
You know what also take my breath away? Denuvo, and my frames!
@@ZeFrancisc0 People need to vote with their wallet about this
This game really looks like its going to be everything I wanted from civ 6. So excited for it great work firaxis!!
Exciting to see Gwendoline narrating this.
Just don't look at the leaders
best thing for me its the map, its so good looking
I need this game in my life right now 😭
I'm glad you made the game beautiful again
I would love a tilt shift camera filter. I think it would look lovely playing it like that.
Gwendoline is perfect for narrating this time, stellar choice.
Guess i should think twice before sleeping next to my cellphone 😅
so beautiful i cant wait to play release it sooner
Nice art, but I would trade it all for bigger maps. It seems these maps would have to be bigger to allow towns, which seem like a big improvement
I can't wait to produce Fallout content after the nuclear wars break out...
i wonder if there’ll be an american leader like FDR for modern age
Please incorporate the "chaotic hex shape" from Endless Legend. Would make the landscape look even more natural
Wow dude just wow the graphics has improved!
I have high hopes for city management in this version. Imagine an entertainment city that boosts amenities in adjacent cities.
I absolutely love the visual direction this game is going in. Looking forward to February!
Totally agree, it looks impressive!
I cant wait to see tsl earth huge in civ 7. The giant earth map, maybe bigger then civ 6. I'm looking forward to it
I love the voice acting
If the game comes out with denuvo it’ll be a hard pass
The only problem I have so far with this style... the cities are going to sprawl too large and there just won't be enough empty land after a while.
Town mechanic looks really fun. I wonder how bad micromanaging cities will be in 7. I like 6, but if you get dozens of cities it’s a little annoying in the late game
The 1 tile island cry😢😂😂😂
Hello 47, your duty is to create your civilization... good luck 47.
All this doesn't matter if the NPCs are as bad as it has been.
Respectfully, social interactions have been Bland and one-dimensional
Just replace the leaders with civ 5 leaders and we are done
The graphic style is a huge improvement compared to the "mobile game" look CIV6 had. I'm looking forward to playing it.
I LOVE the idea of no builders and changing it with city itself while also having city not only in numbers but visually grow larger
Very nice. Now let's see the leader profiles
Love it

Hope they make the rivers a bit more natural tho .. like easy fix to make it good perfect

I'm hoping for a map with multiple levels of elevation, not just plains as the lowest level and hills as the highest level!
I wish there will be a time when developer combine city skyline-civilization-totalwar

It looks like if Civ 5 had a graphical uodate
Just like in Millennia :)
Great graphics are nice to look at, but game mechanics are what made past Civs the great games they are
Hope they get that right this time as well
Denuvo and possibly microtransactions on a full priced game = Never buying or playing or watching anyone play
So will waterfalls be a requirement of Mill buildings? That would be cool and historically accurate.
Please, don't forget about optimization without losing the beauty of the game.
„I m breathtaking” - Civ 7 💅
Is that Diana Burnwood’s voice?

I am going to buy it
Beautifull indeed.
But i m more interested in gameplay mechanics.
I m a strategy game player, not a kid looking for glitter and baubles.
When it release
will online mode work?
it looks OK and all, but honestly Anno 1800 looks way nicer and is a lot more fun
How long was it since civ6? Pretty low effort in all this time ngl. Let me guess, it s gona be +50?

Citylization VII

Nice visuals, but I bet the enemy AI will be as dumb as ever.
And once again they sell the same game to once again skip 25 turns to build settlers
I hope they improve the AI. Playing against AI in civ 6 is kind of too easy and boring

Well, there goes civ. It's not really surprising, though. Most games are going down the drain nowadays.
