- Salves, ointments and balms help soothe scrapes, burns, itches, stings, bruises, etc. Diane Tait discusses how to make these healing salves using herbs from the garden. She covers what oils to use and how to use beeswax to turn the oils into salves. Diane is a registered herbalist operating a practice on her farm in Pickering, Ontario, under the banner of Greenwood Botanicals. She teaches a beginner course in herbal remedies, a hands on seven day course taught on her farm. She studied at Dominion Herbal College and is a professional member of the Ontario Herbalists Association. This seminar was recorded March 5, 2017, as part of Richters Herbs free seminar series on herbal and gardening topics.

You don't pronounce herb with an h, it's "ERB". it's hard to believe you're giving a lecture on herbs and you don't know how to pronounce it
In most of the English speaking world, including Canada where the presentation was made, it is pronounced "HERB", not with a silent "H". Definitely the UK, Australia, New Zealand etc. pronounce it that way. The "ERB" pronunciation is unique to America.
Here in England, we pronounce it with an H.
Here in the part of Canada I’m from we pronounce Herb with the H, trying to “correct” someone’s pronunciation is rude and shows ignorance.
