There is one self-fertile variety of sea buckthorn, it can fruit without any other sea buckthron plants nearby. Very useful for small gardens. It's called "Friesdorfer Orange".
Agreed! As someone who has offered informational sessions like this throughout my career....I never ceased to be surprized and annoyed that someone who "knows it all" feels compelled to attend such a session. If you know all about it cool....share when asked by the speaker ....however interjecting and even correcting the speaker is just rude!
Thank you for the awesome information! I appreciate and enjoy Richters YT videos. I have one critique, PLEASE consider asking attendees to HOLD QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS until the end of the presentation. Every time I watch one of your videos I have to prepare myself to suffer through copious interruptions that cause the speaker to lose their train of thought and me to lose interest and patience.
*Anyone watching this video, look up the benefits of omega 7's* Sea Buckthorn has one of the highest quantities of omega 7's which are VERY good for you. For BOTH health & beauty reasons.
Thank you for the great info.,, I just have a quest on the freezing of the berry or oil, does it maintain it's molecular structure? Thanks again....love the presentation! :)
+pat bortolin We don't believe that there are any data to suggest that the nutritional content of the fruits is changes significantly by freezing. It is common practice to freeze the berry-laden branches before removing the berries from the branches. The reason this is done, as the speaker Andrew Wingrove mentioned, is that the thorns make it difficult to remove the berries in the fresh state, and so by freezing the fruits they can be removed much more easily. Since it is common practice to do this, we expect that much of the nutritional analysis was done on frozen or previously-frozen fruit; so if there is any effect of freezing, much of the data you generally see would be derived after the effects of freezing.
Stopped watching because the rude lady interrupting him made this video unwatchable. It’s incredible to me how selfish she is. Why does she want to subject us to her drivel???
