    Hi there Diana, thank you for sharing these great ideas, but I did want to mention, that for anyone that can't afford a Die Cut machine, the Embossing machine works great, it cost a good bit less & they work fantastic. Well of course people can cut them out by hand, but it is quite time consuming, but making foam stamps is tons of fun. I like the open-work leaf & the pumpkin.

    I know this is an old video, but thank you! Have some old sticky back foam that is slowly becoming less sticky, and recently got into gel printing, so looking for some inexpensive ways to add texture to my prints. Bingo! Especially love the texturizing of the stamps, and the experimenting with heating them to get a crisper print. Going to have to go hunt for some textured items now!

    So glad to see someone else is making these stamps. I have also created a video and am now getting it uploaded to UA-cam. I also printed up fonts and outlines and created some of mine that way. If you don't mind I am going to link your video so they can see how someone else did theirs.

    TFS your fun techniques! I have some pieces of blue foam that can be heated and molded with anything, then reheated to mold again. Since seeing your tut I want to make use of them more, as well as buy some of the thin foam that you have. That is a pretty little pumpkin!

    I love these. They're such cute designs...they have a lovely, soft non-defined and natural look to them. Was it you who made a stamp a few years ago, which looked like an acorn or, maybe, an acorn house? I liked, subscribed and saved. Tfs.

    first great video, seeing you use the double stick tape , you might want to try using Aleene's Tack-It Over & Over Liquid Glue. I saw someone using this in another video.

    • @AngieHines

      If you use acrylic it will soak into the fun foam. Some people don't like that and will wipe it off after use. To me it doesn't matter because it firms the foam well giving me a better stamped image. I also use the fun foam to make monoprints. Hope that helps.😃😁

    I usually take my X-acto and cut my design into a roll of cork board, or a sheet of Balsa wood or Basswood. This is a cool idea though. I like it.

    CAN YOU USE ACRYLIC PAINT ON THE FOAM?

    • @63artemisia63
      @63artemisia63 2 роки тому

      @ Vicki Hollander I haven’t had great luck stamping with acrylic on foam because the paint tends to be so uneven. (Try it though, you may have better luck.) Works better, for me anyway, removing paint when making gel prints.

    It’s NOT low-tech if it requires a machine.

  • @pewpewcat7679
    @pewpewcat7679 4 роки тому

    You say low tech and then a minute later refer to using a $300+ machine.
